O Lord, what an amazing opportunity you have spread out before me a chance to make a difference for you in a desperately hurting world. Help me to see the needs you want me to see, to react in a way that honors you, and to bless others by serving them gladly with practical expressions of your love. Help me be Jesus’ hands and feet and through your Spirit give me the strength and wisdom I need to fulfill your plan for me in my own generation. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
crying as i heard this this morning. My dad passed away last week. He had perfect pitch...so I have had a lifetime of standing next to him on Easter Sunday listening to his wonderful voice singing this song. Love to all.
Hey Methodists! :D Greetings from a Baptist sister in Christ! Please let me tell you how this video blessed me. I've been watching the world like we're commanded to and it's dark out there. Y'all know all about that. My spirit was flagging, and I was prompted to do a search for this specific song to welcome our Saviour, and when my eyes hit your version, I knew this was the one I needed to hear. Y'all knocked the dark right out of me! At that last chorus that shows the whole crowd of y'all, I yelled "Woah!" and fell on my face before the Lord. I shake my fist in the air--we are still HERE, Satan! We are still here and WE LOVE OUR LORD!!! May God's richest blessings come to you, brothers and sisters. WE'RE STILL HERE, and we will raise our voices to Him no matter how dark it gets! HALLELUJAH!
A former pastor sent me this on Messenger. I had tears in my eyes listening to it. Like many other churches, mine, Lineville, Alabama First Methodist, had only an online service due to the Covid 19 virus outbreak. It was awesome to at least get to hear an old favorite hymn, even a day after Easter!
Amen hallelu.Jah praise the lord God almighty Amen hallelu.Jah wee are all gods children, dedication to the God of ancient days will draw us closer in union with God for a world drawn in union of unity one body
I Love Our Dear Church. We used this in our online recorded worship in our Easter Sunday. Thank you so much for making it possible for all of us here in the Philippines. God Bless Us All!
Makes me think of how we will all sing together in Heaven with the angels...except then we will be able to hug each other and won't have to worry about social distancing anymore!
Loved this performance! I so missed being able to worship together Easter morning and hearing our choir but listening to this was a wonderful experience!
Beautiful, wish you had the sign language for the whole song! the pictures were so tiny we really couldn’t see them, the music was outstanding. Thank you so much.
Greetings from Tucson. What a very pleasant surprise when I went to RUclips this evening. Virtual choirs are tough to put together. Thanks to all of you for your efforts. A blessed Easter to you.
Blessings and joy and good health and good spirits to you all, my brothers and sisters in Christ, on this the first Easter in which the whole world is one big family, suffering through our first global pandemic of such epic proportions. I take heart in the faith that Jesus vanquished sin and death, sorrow and suffering for each of us down through history. In the short term these things exist, but over the long term, Love is stronger than anything. If ever the Good News were needed by a hurting world, it is now in spring 2020. May we each do our best to show God’s love in the world. From an Episcopalian choral singer in northeastern Ohio who sang with a United Methodist youth choir long ago, I thank you and invite you all to seek out the video we in our denomination made for today as well. We sang an eight part version of “The Strife is O’er”. Happy Easter! The Lord is risen! P.S. funny that your lyrics for this hymn you sang so beautifully differ from ours in the Episcopal Church, but no matter, the basic message is the same.
