This song brings me to tears every time I hear it. I cannot even sing it in church anymore because of my emotions. This rendition is no exception, as I am in tears writing this comment. As a retired emergency department/trauma nurse, I brought my faith and religion with me to work everyday. There were many times that I literally washed the feet of the poor and downtrodden because of the deplorable conditions they lived in. Similarly, good people get into trouble by no fault of their own. I was but a vehicle for God's love when I cared for patients. Thank you for placing this video online.
When i have a tough day, i listen to this song. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for providing us this inspiring song. Thank you internet Breathren, your hard work for putting this video together. So much Joy in Jesus Christ! Hallelujah!
This is my favorite song, when I die I want it sung at my funeral. At church when I hear 416 it brings tears to my eyes, love it to the end, even on the radio on Saturday or Sunday morning I just stop what I doing raise my hands and sing, very inspiring
I get very emotional with the singing of this great hymn. My precious deceased husband’s very favorite hymn. I am crying now. So beautiful. I sang it to my deceased husband as he was transitioning from life to death.
This is my all time favourite hymn. We sang it at my Dads funeral and it brought me to tears. I will be having it at my funeral. Absolutely beautiful choir.
If it makes you cry... that's not a bad thing. It touches you that deeply. Best compliment you can pay God and the music that provides such emotion. Throw your hands in the air sing at the top of your lungs and cry God's got you wrapped up!
When I first heard this many years ago I was in a dilemma I had two job offers. One in my professional field one very outside my comfort zone..We practiced this in my choir practice and realised I had already chosen I chose the day I committed my life to HIM. So I left my vet practice of retrained in social care and addiction support services. For over 25years I worked within my faith group in our social services department. I can never have enough of this song. It's been over 2years since the lock down when I first heard this song. Each time I listen it's like God talking to me personally and I responding. God bless you all.

Crying at the beauty of this…GOD Bless You my Catholic Brothers and Sisters! My Mom, Dad, and little Brother had this played at their Funeral Mass I promised them I would.
Just glorious. Today is the ninth anniversary of my Much beloved father’s death nine years ago, six years after my mother. We included this in each of their memorial services. I have been singing this all day in honor of each of them. This beautiful hymn always brings tears to me eyes. This is a wonderful version. Thank you.
I heard this song as a teenager at a retreat being a Methodist kid as a guest to my Catholic friends. I remember being stunned at the words of this song. I found this beautiful rendition on Christmas Day looking for music to listen to. Thank you all for this. I heard it new again today, as stunning as when I first heard it.
Whenever I hear this I think of my husband looking up and saying: "Here I am Lord" as he finished his tour in Vietnam and decided to go into the mission field in India. He spent 13 years there teaching the people he loved so much and planting churches and schools so they could go teach others.
Grace, I so appreciate your post. I served two tours in SW Asia (Iraq-Global War on Terrorism) and I was moved by your story related to your husband. I too, much like your husband, have accepted the Lord’s calling to be His servant. However, I have a somewhat different calling from your husband’s calling. I have a specific calling related supporting as well as engaging in the Partnership for Peace Program to 2nd world European countries. Our lord works in mysterious and compelling ways. Pat
One of the blessings covid brought us was these absolutely beautiful performances on zoom. God’s children were brought closer together, because no lockdown could separate us nor stop us from sharing the love of Christ. Absolutely nothing can ever separate us from God’s love as well and His power.

I just discovered this a week ago. It's a truly inspired, emotional and gorgeous arrangement of one of the most beautiful hymns. I can't believe just how fantastic it is. And I keep coming back to listen to it! To the beautiful and talented singers and musicians of the Choir and Orchestra of St. Lillian my heartfelt thanks for sharing your faith and talent with us. We are indeed blessed.
How amazing and beautiful!! I remember this song from when I was a child in parochial school; I remember all of the variations and interpretations over the years, whether the piece was song by a congregation, church choir or small group. It just brings back so many memories and hopes. This beautiful performance and the video presentation have that same effect of lifting up and giving hope and encouragement. Bravo! Choir of St. Lillian.
How beautiful ! Touches my heart. Can you imagine what choirs in heaven will be like ? Superb ministry of song ! God Blessings from Marin County, California.
You can never stop people from singing. Even a pandemic will not keep us quiet and we are never alone. Keep singing and sharing our voices with each other. That was beautiful!
Absolutely gorgeous arrangement. Raised Catholic, the song has been a part of my sacred music history. I was ordained an interfaith minister in St. John the Divine Cathedral years ago, and this song was included in the interfaith ceremony. This is just lovely.
My husband and I are also members of a UMC and have sung in a choir for many years. We have sung this beautiful piece of music too. Now we are 83 and 85, currently in an assisted living facility while I recuperate from major surgery and our days of praising God through music have sadly ended. This performance of Here I am, Lord, is beautiful.
This is one of my favourite hymns of all time! I felt the original melody echo around in my head today (29th May 2021), when I was feeling anxious and excited about receiving my 1st Covid jab. I will keep these words in mind as I go to receive it in Sheffield, England: "I will go Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart." God bless you all and thank you so much for doing this! With loads of love and virtual hugs, Christine. xxx xxx ^o^

This song has long been an inspiration to me (old Presbyterian hymn). He will lead you if you follow.
