These old school QBs love how Dalton played because that is how their entire era looked. 2005-2018ish was huge TDs, big arms, west coast style offenses, etc. These dink and dunks plus screens get boring nowadays.
Absolutely correct. They said our team was trash. Not true. The problem was Bryce. Good kid but not an NFL QB. We got the pick wrong but moving forward we have a good foundation to work from and the Red Rifle is our guy to build from here.
@@donclayton9294 I still have faith that Bryce can develop, but yeah, I agree, he is not a day one starter. I was at the Chargers game, it was pitiful. Edit: in person, you could see the talent of the receivers, they were wide open, and Bryce refused to throw it, for various reasons. Plus, our defense was trash because they were on the field the whole game, you cannot expect them to be high caliber that way.
EXACTLY!! I kept hearing "they have the worst roster in football..." "devoid of talent" " they shouldn't even be in the NFL". Now all of a sudden, "the Panthers might have a chance"...!! PLEASE! Keep that same energy, because we keep receipts.
@@the.living.man. He can't as he physically does not have it. Dude cant even see above the O-line and throwing from his tippy toes. In the NFL, unlike college, you can't have those limitations, it is a different beast than college ball
Panthers fan here . I like Dalton a lot and yes he did help elevate the energy . That is true . That said , the Panthers are a better team than they have shown the first two games and I knew they were going to Vegas to show that regardless of who was QB. So the Raiders ran into a perfect storm of 1) underestimating the Panthers 2) a hungry Panther team and 3) a QB who could show the Panthers do have a good offense .
He was picked 1st overall. If he didn't start right away, the NFL, sports media, panther fans etc would have had a fit. Besides, with all the hype around him in college and pre draft....he was supposed to be the absolute best rookie anybody has seen in years. He was total opposite. And it isn't because of the team.
As a Panthers fan, I always hated facing Matt Ryan two times a year, but I've always respected the hell out of that guy even though he was the enemy. lol Hate that he never got the ring. But he's definitely a first ballot HOFer.
I call it Red Dead Redemption 2.0, or Red Head Redemption, due to his being a cowboy type with Red Rifle nickname. Also many act like he is dead as he seems to rarely get a shot since the Bengals, and that seems like eternity from today in the past. You can think of all kinds of tastefully colorful nicknames for him, Tony the Tiger, Eddie Redmayne, I like the last one best. He is a "steady Eddie" and has red hair, aka red mane, and Eddie is a name that I really like and are guys that keep working and stay aggressive and truthful. I just about gave up hope on seeing Dalton even play with the Bryce thing going on, but it happened. The Dalton Era has begun in Carolina. It was Mint to be?
Panthers have spent years looking for “Cam 2.0”. Fans have been looking for “Jake 2.0”. Enter Dalton, stage left…. If Andy can channel that special feeling into all the guys…. It was a beautiful thing and one heck of a ride. It was fun. It hasn’t been for many years. I WANT to feel the heart beat of that drum again. KEEP POUNDING!!! PantherNation rides again…
Matt Ryan came to Indy and was pure class as we sucked in all ways and then blamed him. I admire how he was a professional team player in a situation he didn’t deserve
This game exposed the “ The Panthers are a crap organization and they didn’t give Young the opportunity to succeed” horse crap every sports pundit has been making a living saying for a year now . I’m a Panthers fan and of course I don’t like owner Tepper but , my guy, nearly ALL NFL owners are egotistical nuts . He really is not that much different than the rest of them. But now he’s “ the worst owner in the league with the worst front office blahblahblah .” Yes , last year sucked but the front office went out and did everything right off season. The main thing is that Bryce keeps on struggling . No surprise at all they cleaned the Raiders clock . I won’t say we will win a lot of games this year but we WILL be competitive unlike last year. And the sports pundits who have to come up with crap to sell people will have to find some other snake oil now .
He got them to the playoffs like 5 years in a row so... that's not exactly an easy feat. Cincinnati didn't have that great of a team either. They certainly didn't have an O-line this good.

Dalton is probably in the best health he has been in 5 years and has a clean pocket to work with...watch out folks
Been saying the Panthers have weapons, and all these sports commentators who don’t know anything were disrespecting these guys.

For real, they can't use the "no weapons to throw to" and "no offensive line" talking points. Now it's "he should've played more in the preseason."

Road House Dalton throws to the Jugular!!!😁😉🤗🇺🇸🏁🙏
People be hating on Andy saying why put him in??? Thats FCKIN Y
Most people are dumb, they just regurgitate the crap they hear from the idiots on the tube.
Funny as heck if Andy Dalton pulls a Tom Brady and goes to the Superbowl this year with the Carolina Panthers 😂
A Flacco run from last yr would suffice
KEEPPOUNDING
Love Andy Dalton. Just tough for Bryce Young having to play so early in his career when he clearly was not ready I think yet.

@@kevykev388 The sports media? Teams need to worry more about developing quarterbacks & hopefully that happens for Bryce Young.
Panthers nice, telling yall
Dan morgan cooked this past off-season and people are sleeping hard on the panthers. Good team, if they connect all the pieces it will be dangerous.

Trade Bryce for the highest bidder
RED RIFLE REJUVENATION
Andy is 23-24 any more, dude knows he on the back end of his career, why not go out with a bang
We need a new name for red rocket 🚀 hes the red genocide
Panthers still need to find a QB for the future. But it’s clear Bryce isn’t the answer
He did not play well for the Bengals 0 playoff wins TRASH
I mean I would argue alot of thaf was Marvin Lewis fault tho, the o line was never that good back then either
