      Amanda L'Heureux They both did it. Parvati read Amanda well enough to know she wasn't the target, but Hantz gave her his second idol, so she wouldn't have ever been able to perform this without him. Personally I think they both deserve credit

      It's pretty easy to not know what your teammate is doing if they keep it a secret from you. Like Russell did with the Danielle blindside. Does that mean Parvati is overrated for not knowing about that?

    Great moment. I remember I was blown away by this awesome move on Parvati's part.
    I couldn't believe JT gave that idol to Russell. For what reason did JT think Russell was ON the Villains' tribe in the first place?? lol

    • @Flaminstarwarsguy851
      @Flaminstarwarsguy851 9 лет назад +22

      chiodoce To be fair, this season did air right after Samoa (Russell's debut season). Most likely they didn't know about Russell's nature and figured he would be loyal to them.

    • @chiodoce
      @chiodoce 9 лет назад +9

      Flaminstarwarsguy851 I said the same thing at the time (that they didn't know Russell's true nature), but the fact that he was on the villain's tribe would make me seriously reconsider trying to work with him. Especially passing him a hidden immunity idol. Lawd!

    • @Flaminstarwarsguy851
      @Flaminstarwarsguy851 9 лет назад +24

      Well giving away an Immunity Idol is stupid in pretty much any situation. (I don't mean using it to save someone else at Tribal. I mean giving it to them to use whenever they want.) Giving it to a member of the other tribe is even dumber. Giving it to a member of a tribe known as Villains puts you into the 'Too Dumb to Live' category. In what universe was this ever a good idea? Even without Russell's devious and cunning nature giving an idol away like that is just a dumb idea all around.

    • @jacobhelm8101
      @jacobhelm8101 8 лет назад +8

      Also I could see him being paranoid of a girls alliance (which he thought was happening) cause Parvati created the Black Widow Brigade which a girls alliance back in Micronesia ( season 16 -fans vs favorites). In my opinion the Black Widow Brigade was the deadliest alliance in Survivor history. So, I could see JT be worried about a girls alliance due to that reason.

    • @Flaminstarwarsguy851
      @Flaminstarwarsguy851 8 лет назад +2

      True enough. However, he still shouldn't have trusted Russell since he was on the Villains tribe. Even though nobody got to see him play in Samoa, Jeff did inform them that Russell was known as one of the five most dangerous male villains in Survivor history so that should have given them some indication of what he's like.

    He gave Parvati the immunity idol JT gave him, to save herself because he was playing double agent and thought the Heroes were voting for her. But Parv, actually had her OWN idol, and she knew Amanda was lying when she told Parv to play it for herself. So Parv knew they were lying and were voting for either Jerri/Sandra to go home. So she 'increased their odds' by giving everyone in her tribe immunity. But Russ thought parv would play it for herself & didnt know she had her own idol.

    I’m watching the season over again and the first episode she says she knows Russell is talking to every girl for example Danielle and telling them the same thing but her words were he was the devil and it’s better to make a deal with the devil and keep him close. People think she’s just the flirt but she uses that to her advantage because it helps her read people and she can manipulate and blindside people perfectly and without even hinting it. She flips the game on its head so many times and she doesn’t care who she has to lie to in order to get out for example this J T vote. It was perfect. I think Parvati was always in control of her game

    @BradSSFL You're out of your mind for saying Russell dominated this season. I think he played a great premerge game, but his post merge just wasn't as good. Yes, that's what Parvati did. She rode his cottails. That's why she won more challenges than anyone this season. That's why she beat Russell. And yeah, both Danielle and Parvati didn't tell Russell about the idol. It was a strategic move to make Danielle more loyal to Parvati. And this move goes to Parvati, not Russell.

  • @GeauxWyatt
    @GeauxWyatt 6 лет назад +1

    Two things: 1. This move definitely should’ve won Parvati the season, but bitter jury’s happen, it’s just a fact of Survivor. 2. We shouldn’t give JT so much crap. He played a brilliant game in Tocantins and made himself so likeable that no one wanted him out even though he was the biggest threat to win. Considering the fact no one knew what Russell was capable of in HvV JT had a hunch that if true would’ve catapulted him to being the 2 time winner. Unfortunately his theory was wrong and it’s probably THE reason the Villains won the season. In game changers he was just dumb not to bring his idol. But he knows how to find idols and knows how to get a good strong alliance together. His big thing is that he needed stronger execution in an All Star season. Still is one of my fav winners

    • @ivolloxy3030
      @ivolloxy3030 5 лет назад

      1. The heroes knew Sandra had tried to help and that was great jury management. Sandra knew this when they declined and she already had Courtney’s vote. This along with Parvati and Russell making an underrated dumb move in keeping Sandra around not realising that she hated them and failed to infer that she attempted to save the heroes and being forced to vote off Jerri means Sandra literally outwitted Parvati who is overrated asf and outplayed Russell too. She also outlasted when not a single immunity win and a smart idol play. It wasn’t necessary but Colby was going to go next anyway and she really didn’t need it, and she made a good call getting the bad vibes and it could’ve changed the game really

    • @ivolloxy3030
      @ivolloxy3030 5 лет назад

      2. JT played an amazing game which is true obviously. The issue is the Tocantins cast had 0 people who wanted to blindside JT or even could try (Stephen and Taj could’ve tried with the exile alliance but they already had so much shared power) and also it wouldn’t go down very well with pretty much anyone. I agree with the stop giving him bs since nobody knew what Russ was like but he was a villain... I’m surprised Rupert and Amanda actually thought it was a good idea he’s a villain for a reason. In GC he was absolute shit and you really can’t defend him. Honestly wouldn’t mind pre merge Michaela boot if it meant JT could get a fresh start after HvV. Michaela was just sassy and like literally 50% of girls overrated

      How did he honestly not see that coming though I mean really? Especially with Rupert warning him. When I watched this season live at ten years old he was literally the only hero that I didn’t care for. Because even then I knew the heroes now had next to no hope of making it to the end. Things could’ve been dramatically different had someone saved Jt the humiliation of such a thoughtless action. Rupert tried but it was already too late of course.

    @eastburn88 Pretty much. She said that it was a strategic move to play it for Sandra and Jerri to ensure that she had their trust for the rest of the game. And she knew there would still be a tie braker if they did vote for her, so she did take the risk

    @MrBen51309 Not in J.T.'s case. He was winning immnunities and was a hot countryboy. Here he didn't win immunity and went home right after the merge, cause Villains were smart enough to do it, not like Heroes or the people from Tocantins.

    Parvati shouldve tried to get jerri to vote sandra and force a tie. This couldve got sandra out and parvati probs has enough respect to beat jerri, and even if sandra wins in fire, it shows the jury that parv wasnt 100% with russell, and probs couldve used that to gain more respect. Dont get me wrong, shes my fav all time and she shouldve won imo, but had she done that her odds massively increase

    Sandra's gameplay is not flashy and in your face. Her whole strategy is about getting jury votes and saving herself, and not pulling out idols left and right trying to save her alliance. Sandra's loyalty lies with herself only. That is why she has been so successful in this game.

    that actually sounds like an awesome Idea, but if it were to happen, I think they'd bring back Parvati with Amanda, not Russell. Merely for the fact that they'd want an all female double. Like Amanda and Parv are they only female duo that kicked ass and took names! (Kim and Chelsea but Kim did all the work and Chelsea just followed her along)

    if you look back on the entire TC you'll see I think it's Colby say that they were not necessarily targeting Parvati, which means he gave away what they were going to do. So, even though Parv played the Idols in a brilliant way it was essentially Colby that confirmed Parv's suspicions and therefore caused the downfall of the Heroes.

    @BradSSFL How did Russell "dominate" Heroes Vs. Villains? Parvati manipulated the crap out of him! Russell told Parvati pretty much everything and what did she do in return? Go off and find her own idol and than Russell have her his. Yes, Russell have Parvati his idol and got rid of Tyson. She handled Russell in a way that nobody else did or has. Everyone was scared of Russell; except Parvati. In fact, not only do I believe that Parvati played a better strategic game, but a better

    I always see people raving about how this is one of the most amazing idol plays of all time, but I disagree. See, this would have been one of the most amazing idol plays in any other season, but in this one, well, this is the moment where Parvati lost the game. In any other season, this right here would've been one of the things that would have won Parvati the game, hands down. But in this season, she was allied with Russell, and everybody knew that if you make Russell angry, he'll come after you and screw your game up.
    Parvati knew this well and she still did it because she thought it would be funny to make Russell angry by showing she and Danielle were making moves behind her back. And what happened? Russell got angry that the ladies making moves behind his back and he decided that they needed to be separated because they were closer to one another than either of them were to him, so he makes it so Danielle's voted out (and did so in a way that he further ruined his own chances at winning), ruining what would've been a perfect final 3 for Parvati, because I'm pretty sure that in a final 3 of herself, Danielle and Russell, Parvati would've won. And that's why this move right here is a big reason of why Parvati lost,

    • @robinmontgomery9160
      @robinmontgomery9160 5 лет назад +2

      The sole reason Parvati lost was because she was allies with Russell. I bet Danielle wins in that hypothetical F3

  • @sasuke55414

    @BradSSFL way. The only thing she didn't do was find idols, which is smart because it kept the target on Russell's back and not hers. She couldn't be an aggressive woman or Russell would of gotten rid of her like he did to Marissa, Betsy and Liz. And but the "reason" comment, all I was asking was to give me a reason that isn't just because he is Russell Hantz because that's what I get from everyone else! I didn't specifficly say you, did I? No.

    @BradSSFL And it was one of the bigger moves because they could of voted for her and she played them for 2 other people. Also, by playing the idol for Jerri and Sandra, it was an act of protection towards them so that they would show loyalty to her for the rest of the game. By the way, my arragant ass comments was a condesending comment towards the person I was debating with, more of the person that we were debating between and the way he acted on tv because that is how he acted.

    Had the Villains been able to see the first 30 minutes of the first Samoa episode, JT would never have had the chance to get anything going with Russell. Hell, the Heroes wouldn't have had the chance to learn anything else about the smelly little troll.
