When she found an idol this season she just hid it on exile because she knew Natalie would want her to use it to save her and knew she could only beat certain players in the finale. Parv also tended to slip little knocks at other contestants into conversation that made people slowly turn against players. She also actually read her relationship with Rupert correctly in that he was still going to vote with her to get out Rupert instead of turning on Danielle up until Danielle had her breakdown. In Cook Islands: As a throwaway line in the bathtub she questions why Becky is campaigning so much for an advantage when they have the numbers to try and help her get Ozzy to her side. In Micronesia: She helps the Ozzy blindside along by talking about how he's exorbitantly complimenting the food episodes before it actually happens to make him look naive In HvV: Everything about the double idol play These are just some of the examples of how Parvati manages to often make subtle necessary moves to stay in the game. There's a Reddit post titled "Parvati's HvV game" which explains in a lot more detail why Parvati has played probably the strongest second place finish game in the history of survivor.
I don't have creativity Cook Islands: Parv was at the top of Raro, pre- and post-switch. Her social game was very on point. The mutiny and the super idol tanked her chances at winning. She was seen by Yul as the craftiest of the Raros who had to be eliminated. Micronesia: Parvati was at the center of the couples alliance and was the one who assembled the Black Widow Brigade. Contrary to the edit, she spearheaded the blindside on Ozzy. She also wisely left an idol on Exile Island. Funnily enough, I think this was her worst performance of her first 3 seasons (yes, despite the fact that she won) because she had played a 3rd place game keeping Cirie over Natalie. She lucked out that there was a surprise final 2. HvV: Targeted by 7 of 9 fellow Villains and every single Hero. Good social game to build solid alliances with Russell and Danielle, and later Jerri (credit to Russell as well). Such a good social game that Russell saved her with an idol then gave her another while she also found her own, pulled off the big move with 2 idols, then won plenty of immunity challenges to make it to the end. Winners at War: Survived well enough with her triple A target on her back. Sadly, the swap fucked her.
I was confused at first as to why Parvati won. I really thought Amanda was going to win it. Then I reviewed everything that happened in the season: Parvati DOMINATED this season. Without a doubt, she deserved to win! As a result, Parvati is won of my favorite winners.
It should have been a final 3 and could well be a 3:2:2 vote. We're robbed of the epic moment of "2 votes Cirie. 2 votes Parvati. 2 votes Amanda. 1 vote left. The winner of Survivor Micronesia [__]".
I would rank Parvati as the third best winner. She is perhaps the best player out of all the winners but not the best winning performance. I think she's the third best winner. Tom Westman and Kim Spradlin rank above her in terms of overall more perfect performance. She's definitely one of the best though!
You can't fault someone for the quality of the cast. That shouldn't count against Kim or any winner. Yes, that season had a terrible amount of recruits. That's casting's fault, not her fault. And Kim still overcame very adverse challenges! She played it cool the whole way through. Played a better game than Boston Rob for sure.
How the fuck can you rank Kim higher than Parvati? Kim was playing with a bunch of idiots, and Parvati probably had a rougher time getting around with her tribemates.
@Gurizin She didnt ride coattails in Survivor Cook Islands. You should watch it properly before stating that. She had her own strategy which was to get together with the men since they form the majority of the tribe. She would have been in the final Tribal Council if her tribe in Cook Islands wasn't pagonged.
I don't get why people expected amanda to win micronesia between the two. I think it was pretty obvious from the jury speeches alone that jason, natalie, alexis and eliza would vote for parvati. And that cirie would prefer to vote parvati over amanda since she was closer to parvati, and by that merit, she knows very well how parvati fiddled the game than amanda.
Well Parvati was good making alliances, had a good social game, and was good at challenges. I'm glad Cirie didn't make it to the end, she was useless at camp and in challenges.
Cirie shoulda been the winner this season, shes one of the best players the show has had, she got 4th place, then 3rd, and in heroes vs villians she was booted early for being a sneaky player.... :(
What would they do in a tie like this case? no 3rd person.... this is why Cirie, parv, and amanda believed in a final 3; because all other final 2 had an odd # jury

we dont know until we have a Parvati vs Kim season. 2 different seasons: hard to compare. Kim is a very very strong physical competitor as well and a very good liar too

I know it is tough for you tp sink this information in, but sometimes you have to back stab to get to the end of the game. Outwit. Outplay. Outlast.

4Tom4lepus4 the best to ever play the game and win was Brian Heidik Survivor Thailand, because he was the first one to recognize it was a game and treat it that way. Strategized from the beginning and won. Everyone else in seasons after followed suit.
