  • A drive-through HOBO Campground and the adjacent Miracle Hotsprings parking area. Unfortunately, the Miracle Hotsprings tubs were completely destroyed last year. The process to restore them is going to be long😔 #kernriver #california #googlelocalguide #nature #travel #explore #camping #campgrounds

    What campground is better, Limestone or this one?

      That really depends on what you might want to do. Hobo has fishing from prenty much any campsite and you can walk along the river to fish as well. Miracle Hotsprings used to be there, but, sadly, it was destroyed.
      Limestone is a nice campground that sits high up on the river. Crock Rock is there, but I'm not sure if the river is open in Tulare country or not. I do know the high up river you go, the colder the water is. From Limestone, The Trail of 100 Giants is a short drive, and the Twin Bridges trail is just around the corner from the campground. Plus, ya, there's more, NcNally's is just a couple miles down the road where you can get great burgers and supplies if needed. They also have a suspension bridge over the Kern River that takes you on the Whiskey Flats trail.
      I hope I answered your question🤔 Have a great time and be extra careful near the river.

      @@Lone_Feather Thx for this amazing reply. Why would they destroy the hot springs though? I didn't even know that could be destroyed bc the water seeps up from the ground. I always wanted to venture further up. But Hobo doesn't seems nice from how you described it. Fairview didn't seem to have shade

      @Jose-sy1je Fairview has tons of shade, and both are beautiful. It was the sheriff's and the Forestry folks that destroyed the hot tubs at Miracle, but the left Remington alone.

      @@Lone_Feather Amazing news! Looking forward to summer! Ty for all your videos Any chance you have news on how Riverkern Beach is doing on Sierra Way?

      @Lone_Feather  Год назад

      @Luluita17 The private places like Frandy, Rivernook, Riverkern, etc. where repaired pretty quickly. Places like Gold Ledge, Headquarters, etc. are still closed, and it doesn't appear that much has been done to them (as of this morning).
