@@ferryfernandus1423 it's a bigger investment to summon and probably a bigger cost to banish names from the grave to use the negates, although the deck has ways to get them back, but it has synergy with the deck in other ways like being searchable through cyber emergency, protecting your other drytrons from destruction and ocasionally summoning a 4k ritual when it leaves the field. Personally i dont think it's a bad alternative to herald. Especially since you can run nu2 with it.

After testing, DAD is usually 4 negates not 2 since it's not HOPT and it's loopable with dyna mondo which also triggers the trap, deck can now run up to 15 handtraps while still being more consistent than previous drytron builds, rastaban is also decent now from unplayable It can get out up to 6 Monster negates from the 4 if you sacrifice follow up, 1 spell and trap negate , 1 shuffle into the deck, and when they out the Dad draconids sends 2 The endboard is usually Fafnir trap, boss monster Beatrice and I:p I:P effect to summon Dyna : Dyna shuffle : Dyna reborn: dad on board negates + trap recycling him. Alongside fafnir. I agree with Farfa drytron won't be better, all they got is a side grade build that won't see play just like the turn skip variants. Bystials and droll cuck you harder too sadly, nib isn't great against it so drytron as a whole remains jank
you also can just use the trap after the 2nd negate, add back 2 names, use the second effect reveal meteonis (you should have only needed to activate it once for the combo) and summon it again with your spent mu beta + the 2 names you added back, then for its next 2 negates you'll have 2 mu betas in grave to banish for free. But you have to play ursatron alpha now in the pure build to consistently get to the trap, but it can just be a 1 of.
People overlooking that you can run a small magikey engine with this and end on a pretty solid board of unlocking, this and masq to loop the new ritual.

It's like pend players who got that weird head canon that being able to do 100 negates turn one makes their deck somehow less bad. Like girl we got centurion turn skiping here and it's ass. And unlike your deck it doesn't auto lose to magnamut.
almost like the singular best version of the deck that wins on the spot is better than a few negates plus both versions of the deck lose to non-engine cards, it's not like the new version has some giant advantage vs non-engine 🤷
I’m not sure how hot of a take this is, but… Drytrons are a genuinely cool archetype that got caught up with the wrong crowd (that fucking disco ball of no fun in particular). It’s got a fun playstyle and its monsters look fantastic. I’d give it a try with Megalith sometime, it’s honestly really fun!
Okay gonna sound salty, but Drytron (in TCG at least) has been more Magician Chaos MAX turbo than Herald turbo, I'm pretty sure a lot of lists just don't play Heralds anymore save for like Orange Light and Arc Light
I'm an OCG player and I will say it's highly recommended to run Drytron Beta now with these new support cards.. If nu2 is banished, you summon beta and retrieve this nu2 back to gy, then SS it on the field since you control Drytron monster which is Drytron Beta..

Maybe it's just like caught him on a bad day or something but this just felt unnecessary. Mind you I have played DryTron pure and kind of refused to touch the herald stuff. Drytron Meteonis Alpha Draconids works well with the trap card. If you have Meteonis Ritual Spell, you can resummon that big chungus or a 4k Draconids. If DAD gets destroyed, summon Chaos Max for free :)

Drytron is more fun when it also supports ursarctic. Those new cards seem ass cuz they only support streamlined drytron, and the last time we got a meta-relevant streamlined drytron, it's such an unfun deck
Least biased review from Farfa lul. Jokes aside I like drytron as a archetype and only think they suffer from being too easy to mix with other stuff, but their core concept is actually cool, machines that float to ritual summon big beatsticks with interruption, but that interruption costs your follow up (even the old ritual did that), so forcing them to xeno lock themselves is peak card design and hopefully will force new variants to play like the deck was designed to play.
From a meta standpoint what Thunder Dragons are missing is Foolish Burial on a monster with restrictions that allows to foolish any 3 light and/or dark monsters of choice and not at random, 2 more negates and consistency cards that can replace they ones they lost when dragons where hit on the ban list plus maybe 1 more to keep up with modern standards, and 2 or more interruptions with one of them being negates. The game so broken that for a archetype to combat multi-board wipes you have to have at least 1 negate in conjunction with any hand traps or board breakers you have. However if you've seen Yacine656s' 10 combo spreadsheet video can perform as a meta lv. Yugioh deck and instead negates it spams unaffected monsters and allows you to get 2 unaffected monsters on your turn and one on your opponents turn. While Also recycling your Rank-up spells with your 1 of of Heel Eagle and your Raidraptor monsters can be recycled by Roost. I think this version that use none of the Phantom Knights outside of Raider's Knight is pretty toxic but if Konami went the route of making strategies that went for making 2 or more towers and they gave us outs to them I feel like that would be more balanced even if they gave strategies 1 negate help deal with some of the crap the game will throw at you.

The other two Drytron rituals are already strong, I dont feel they needed a way to just free summon one out of the deck on destruction
why do we have these random as caps on cards that wouldn't be good without them. if you summon a link 5 it better can go up to 9k by paying down to 1k life. that wouldn't even be game winning through any form of blocks not named snake-eyes fireking bumbler that you forgor to link of

Farfa is a great person and entertaining creator. But comparing DAD to Herald and then literally in the same video explaining how it’s worse than herald is crazy. Free agents are a term that has been picked up to refer to cards in a set that aren't related to any specific archetype/deck.
Its a term for non-archetypal cards that are too good to be called "pack filler"
