- This is what a 6 week weft move up looks like👇🏽
Silicone beads are replaced, hair is brushed out, and threads assessed/resewn.
I ask my client to come with freshly clean hair even though we will glaze and wash again after these are moved up.
Let me know if you would like a price breakdown of this move up.

Just curious, why not take them out then wash her hair and put them back in? Wouldn't that get rid of the gunk and help with the oily look that comes with fine hair?
@@victoriaaish exactly, it's like she is doing it backwards
I was wondering how she washes it do you have black clients? And ladies think of it like getting your nails done 💅🏽 some women want a fill building on the product. Also prob saves some cash on getting new hair ? 💁🏽♀️
Damn my starts to come undone every three weeks
@@victoriaaish yeah but they charge you alot more to take them out and reinstall
One word.... EXPENSIVE!!!!!
yes. mainly bc the extensions themselves last over a year if you take care of them. its not just regular extensions you find at a beauty supply store
@@user-jp5zj7hk6mI imagine it take some time to do as well. Never had them but looks like it take a while to do them and you said they last a while. Plus if the extensions are real hair, I imagine more money too
This makes my head itch
As a mechanic. That lux tool is straight needle nose plyers ☺️
I have bathroom pliers for that reason. They mark up needle nose pliers as hair tools for no good reason. Maybe they’re prettier? w/e, pliers are like $3
You don't have to be a mechanic to know a pair of needle nose pliers
@@noahkalin1916 or how to spell pliers lol
Yess I use these for jewelry all the time lol. It's astounding the kind of markups we get as hairstylists and estheticians. They sold literal paintbrushes for balayage at the supply store for $6 or more!! I could go to dollar tree and buy it for $1 🤣
@@valeriapebble Brushes are a litttllee different, as the type of bristle and quality/type come into play, but most of the time i go to the distribution store (store that needs a license to buy products) instead of a supply store like sally’s.
That's her 6 weeks new growth? WOW 😮 she's really healthy! 👍
Some of that is slippage also
Damn that looks painful! At the very least irritating as hell.
You definitely can’t have sensory issues and be able to do this.
Imagine sleeping with those in 💀💀💀💀
@@amberaldstadt8748 ouch
No it doesn’t hurt at all, doesn’t really feel like anything. Maybe the first day you get them feels a bit like a tight ponytail (but they really say it’s not supposed to tug at all and to let them know if you feel that) but after a day your used to them and they feel normal
@@bellab9286how much does it cost? I'm getting hair extensions for summer camp and I'm not sure if I have to take them out every night and before showers
I have terribly fine and thinning hsor and I hate it! I'd like some type of filler hair (no idea what options are or what they all entail as I don't do any hair/face modifications) but I couldn't imagine living every second eith something alien on my head! Just like I'm considering boob implants for my husband, but the feeling of sacks on my chest would drive me insane@
That’s called build up, not hair shed, that’s build up of the scalp itself not the hair. The scalp is what produces that gunk
Exactly!! The build up is called sebum.
Its should be a mix of build up and shed hair since hairs that would normally shed are trapped by the bead. Like if you've ever had braids in for a while and you take them down.
Hey just saying it seems like she’s the hairdresser she might now a bit more. All I’m saying
@@charleejordan5431 I’m black. Talk about hair is very basic in black families and it’s called build up. Alot of black hair styles cause us build up. I know what I’m talking about. It’s called build up. Like I said. Gunk is definitely not the word. It doesn’t even sound ok to say.
@@charleejordan5431 hair shed is literally hair strands that have shed literal shed means shed
I love my beaded weft. For me it’s worth the money and really boosts my confidence. Thank you for this video ❤
Wouldn't that pressure on the strands under the beads cause strand damage in that spot over a long period like that? My hair is so ridiculously fragile.
Yes it would, it’s called traction alopecia. If anyone tries telling you otherwise they’re just trying to make a quick buck. Hair was never meant to ever be constantly pulled for weeks or months at a time. The weight of that weave will either snap your hair off or completely pull it out by the roots.
My aunt always had these in now she has permanent bald spots lol
Everyone’s hair is different. This client has a strict move up plan every 6 weeks. On the second install, it is completely removed and reinstalled. She has had exponential growth since starting my extensions plan.
It just depends on your own hair, how tight they are and how often you get them. I think everyone forgets NO ONE HAS THE SAME HAIR TYPE as anyone else. EVERYONE is different
@@ImpetuousPorkus you seriously don’t know what the hell you’re taking about
For anyone who is curious, extensions DON’T hurt, you DON’T feel them when you’re trying to sleep, they DON’T even feel foreign on your head. If they do for anyone, maybe consider going to a more trained or skilled hairstylist. And unless you experience frequent and severe sensory issues, it’s unlikely that they will bother you anymore than your natural hair already does! 😆
Not true us for us ladies with thin hair .. we will definitely feel this in our bed ‘ and it will be visible when we sweat because thin hair gets oily easily .. for thicker hair im sure it’s different
I need to see the initial install to figure out what's going on here. I have no idea.
So cool. I’ve always wanted long hair but I can’t ever grow it past my mid back. Wish I could do this. It really is amazing what people can do with hair.
That looks painful over long term.
A WEAVE! Who knew.👀
Riiight! 🤷🏾♀️🤣
White girls have weaves?
Since the 50s! Lol
@@MirellaManelli SINCE THE 50'S?!?!😱 EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!!!!!!☠️
Ohhh!!!! The beads are for a sew -in? Fascinating
I tried micro links for the first time tonight and I’m so looking forward to doing this
Shouldn’t the Beads be placed a little less closed to the scalp? I thought placing them that close causes way more breakage and becomes painful for the client and the extensions don’t last or perform as well when they are too close to the scalp?
Yes!! The cost please!!
Best method for my fine curly/wavy hair. I’m installing mine tonight💕✨➰
Wefts and KeraLinks are my personal faves!
You do good work. Just amazing. 💞
I am black and long ago I had my extensions installed using this method.
How was it? What is it called?
It isn’t painful, I have this done every 6 weeks or so. There’s very, very light tugging but no more than just brushing hair.
I see that there is also tinsel added! Mine too! I love it!
Do you have fine hair too? I have fine hair and working on getting it healthier. Do you feel like the extensions make your natural hair thinner?
@@a.m.2241 my hair is fine and kind of medium thick in the back, but thinning on the top. The extensions make the back and sides thicker.
Yes!!! Break down please!!!
This is a perfect way to have hair loss in many specific areas 😂.

Amazing 👌 👏 🙀
😶😶😶why do people go thru this just for looks!? God help me this would drive me insane!!! Im the type that when I find one little grain of sand on my scalp after the beach and I'm picking thru every strand for days... so to have all that on my head, it would literally drive me insane. Also it looks like it would be uncomfortable. Like when I have my hair up or pinned all day and finally take it out at the end of the day.... it hurts but feels so good! Haha this is just to much for me.😄😄 So thankful for my natural long hair. Let it grow! Leave it alone and take your vitamins 😊 Can't beat natural, if that's an option. Amazing for women who don't have the natural option 👏🏻 😊
I agree.I don't get it.It seems just uncomfortable. Sweet Jesus, you could hide all sorts of insects in there. No thanks. But each to their own.
The price breakdown please.
My hair stylist told me they would only last like five weeks and then I would have to remove them. I wish I knew this before then since it’s so expensive.
Sounds like she was trying to get over on u
What does it feel like brushing and wearing them in ponytail?;
I want to see the full video
What r the prices do the extensions on the front end and how much for the move up.
These weaves are getting insane
Have You sewn the hair on first?
Many years ago, it was popular to wear hair extensions, I remembered wearing my daughter blonde hair 😢 expensive extensions. After a while , my hair started to fall, it was so thin, and I had patches of hair gone. Thank God that trent passed , I would never wear anything like that on my hair , it produces "traction alopacia" hair loss due to pulling of the hair follicle from the scalp.
I have thin hair and was told that extensions aren’t for thin hair.
Glad to see it is!
They aren't because long term they are damaging, thin haired people start off with already fragile hair so constantly yanking on the hair and the root is not healthy most likely will leave you balding earlier, thinner hair, spilt ends and for my mum having them in she always has migraines
@@jazzywazzy666 would be good to note that it’s not good for anyone’s hair either
You may be interested in fusion or KeraLinks as an option for thin/fine hair. These are the type of extensions that are non damaging.
@@MirellaManelli thank you! I will look into those.
What do you charge install vs tightening
How do you move up the beads?
Her hair will be even THINNER with all that tugging and pulling on it!!
Would like to know break down
Pricing please and thank you.
Why put the bead if you have a full track there? Seems unnecessary when you already have a weaving method installed.
The bead is part of the weaving method. If the bead is removed the track will fall oit
@@MirellaManelli oh so you do not cornrow and sew the track onto that? Oh okay never heard of this method
@@JaheimsStrugglingHairline yes exactly! The hair is sewn around the bead
D D W traditional sew ins won’t work on straight hair. It’ll just end up breaking their hair off
@@JaheimsStrugglingHairline I get the exact same extensions. It’s microlinks but instead of being individually installed the beads is what holds the track up as the stylist explained. Looks super natural!
Be careful with these….lots of controversy with it. People I know who get these lose their natural hair once they take them out.
Hair loss is attributed to incorrect installs.
@@MirellaManelli ya and having so much stress on the root of your hair for weeks at a time, that’s an important detail
@@abali3952 yup! Each of my clients have exponential growth with a strict move up plan. You can’t see the whole story from a short video.
Hair loss is attributed to incorrect installs. There is nothing incorrect about this video.
Could this cause traction alopecia?
Can this method be used with a wavy or curly style?
Yes! Absolutely. I would change up the hair texture in the weft selection and also add upto 3 rows with keralinks
Yes prices please
I took a class and unfortunately the instructor was not a good trainer.

i need help ive been wearing wigs for some time and im sick of them, i want hair extensions badly , but i know it's expensive, i had cancer and now thsts its gone im ready for hair again my hsir is short and course help
Wtf am I looking at? Is this a real doll you are doing hair for? A robot? Why does she have things like that in her hair. It wouldn't work on a person that, like, brushes their hair.
It does! Because the client has fine straight hair it does appear to grow out faster though.
Same ????
WoW!
I got these and my hair grew out so fast that they caused me to have HUGE RATS NESTS all over my hair. I had to cut my beautiful hair all off, literally within 2 inches of my scalp. Don’t do this you guys!
P.S. I was told that these could last for 2-3 months. Never told to keep in a loose pony or to have them moved up every 6 weeks! If you do proper maintenance it seems like this will not happen 💜
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. They do need to be brushed twice a day, kept well at night with a loose ponytail, and moved up every 6 weeks. I don’t recommend these if they are not going to be taken care of at home. They require more TLC
@@MirellaManelli yes I wasn’t told anything but the brushing. Just too much maintenance but you do a beautiful job!!! ❤️❤️
I think you should add that in your comment. That you did not do the proper maintenance and that’s why you had a huge rats nest. But to put out don’t do this just scares us who would actually take care of them. 🫤 So now I don’t know either to get them or not from comments like this. 🤦🏽♀️

Isn't it not Is supposed to be right up on the scalp like that
I wonder if that itches
No it does not

I really don't understand this. So she only got one row of extensions in her head? Is that all?
Can't she wash her hair before she comes to you? It's so dirty.
she says that she is gonna wash it after the video why would you wash your hair twice in one day?

Im a dope… sooooo sorry so wish I could come to you. Xx😁
@@Danielle-ju3li the American accent didn't give it away to you?
Why do those beads lose the paint coverage? The exterior coating on the beads that anchor hair in place chips away/wears down. I hope that one of the extension lines are looking into finding a fix for that. A lot of the beads turn silver with use and thus discloses the individual’s beauty secret they weren’t necessarily aiming to expose.
Sorry I know you’re not the individual manufacturing them but perhaps you could pass the word on. ( who knows, maybe I’ve been the only one who has experienced this on more than one occasion with my clients. Causes the need to renew and the longevity of the beads decline, unfortunately. I have shared my experience with a few companies that I’ve used and they offer to share with the h.r. department and have them look into it but that’s as far as it goes. I thought if you happen to read this you could pass it on. Again I might be the only person who finds this to be an issue. If so I need to get creative.
Ok I’m done running on (sorry)🤭
😱😱😱😱
I just do not understand why women do this frequently. Maybe for a special occasion but getting it done constantly is expensive, time consuming and unnecessary. I used to have very thick hair but as I've aged and multiple surgeries, my hair is now very fine and limp. I decided to cut it above my shoulders to give it the appearance of being fuller plus, older women with long hair just look odd to me.
I’ve been wanting extensions but I’ve heard it’s not possible for me as I have two different hair types on my head. Top layer is wavy and the back of my head is curly. 😢
I need to braid my hair every night so it won’t be a bit tangle ball in the morning. 😕
Interesting! I’ve never heard of someone not being a good candidate because of texture. If your in SoCal, I’d love to take a look at it and come up with a solution.

THAT'S what hairdressers think "super fine" hair looks like!? I must be fricken' bald by her standards, damn 😂
It must feel awful going around.false hair.when there's no need too.Just my personal opinion.
Beads shouldn't be moved up. They should be replaced every 6 weeks.
6 weeks 😳 I go every 10. Don’t let them fool you.
What a waste of money
Why not just do micro capsules
I'm just curious, I have thin hair and it's super long. My question is, how do you make it not noticeable with the beads?
The weft is very light weight and thin. They can be installed as a hidden bead as well. If the hair is too thin for a weft I would suggest using KeraLinks.
High priced weave for white women lol 😂 I

What is appropriate, then? I’m autistic and genuinely don’t understand, I’m not asking to be a bitch. I suffer from hair loss due to my chronic illness, is it not okay for me to wear fake hair?
Weave in general is expensive..
@@bunnyfrosting1744 I’d recommend a lace front or clip in hair extensions or even a hair topper with the Velcro head band for extra convenience, human hair is highly recommended they wear, blend, and style like natural hair

So is this the white version of weave?
Nah, it’s an alternative version of an install. There are many ways to do one thing.
@@MirellaManelli oh that's kinda cool. I like to think of it of of the white lady weave though weave glaze. We call it install that's a lace front
I'm African American where we do protective styles but this honestly looks unhealthy for the hair. Look like once you remove the links, sheds of hair will come out and may cause bald spots.
