Not sure if you knew this but I thought I’d share anyway. Ian Flynn (the writer from issue 160 onwards) later went back and talked about the last arc he did before the comic rebooted. He said that his original plan for Antoine was not for him to end up in a coma, but to actually die. He said this would be the true breaking/rallying point for the Freedom Fighters. But he said the emotional response from fans to both Sally and Antoine’s fates was so strong that he decided to just put him in a coma.
I loved this Matt. I know next to nothing about the comics. I know it had a soft reboot a few years ago, and a few people (including you) recommended to get into it then. But I wanted to read the original stories. So maybe one day I’ll buy the whole series. I love the Archie sonic series because it can get serious unlike sonic boom that’s why I like the sonic comics so much compared to the TV shows Random 90s kid sonic the Saturday morning cartoon with serious I was born in 2007 I’m going off what I can get my hands on because I bought the sonic figure to pack that came with a few of the comics

Ken Penders killed Saly but there was so much fan backlash that is was bringed back. Aparently Saly was an inconvinient for some stories he wonted to make.

This is pretty much the only time I refer to the character as Eggman since they're pretty much two separate people in the archie universe
