  • Next project on the channel that is really exciting for us, 1959 Ford F100 Long bed and 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor chassis swap. In this video, we walk you through our way of shortening the bed sides from a long bed to a short bed that allowed for correct wheel placement. We also show how to mount the bed to the Crown Vic chassis as well as fabricating the tailgate hinges and latches. This series of videos will highlight how to do this conversion as simple and cost effective as possible. We are shooting for $2000 initial budget to have a running driving shop truck. In the future, we will make improvements after we enjoy it for awhile. Also, you know me, this is staying patina!
Thanks to ‪@QueenCitySpeedShop‬ for helping on getting it running!

Just found your videos here and I'm enjoying them now. Things went a little different with my John Deere Green 1960 F100 short box step side Refrigerator. I bought the truck around 30 years ago. It was a rough virgin project truck. I drove it the way it was for a while. I decided to get to work on it started tearing it apart. Our landlord at the time didn't like that I was actually working on a truck in the garage. We ended up buying a house that needed some work and the truck got put on the back burner. You know life happens, a long story of What the Heck's. I kept the truck and the parts in the garage. About 5 or six years ago things have settled down and I got to work on the truck again. To shorting this long story, the fridge is finished now it runs a 390 FE and C6 transmission and an 8.8' rear axle, A Crown Vic donated the front cross member with a couple leaves removed from the rear springs lowering it a couple inches on all four corners. It's been painted a Blue Diamond, Satin and Wimbledon White, Gloss. Thes make great little trucks when they are done right, there's not many, on the road. 59 and 60 are the only Ford truck with the quad head lights. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I am.

@@shogibyvictortree5028 depends on what end goal you're going for but in my opinion this truck sits perfect! If you take into consideration that I didn't have to modify the crown Vic suspension at all and it rides and drives exactly like stock but appears to be extremely lowered is very cool!

I know its expensive.. but ide rather put the TCI Mustang 2 kit on the original frame. The bed area turns out better and you can fit any engine.
I have a 56 with the TCI a 3 inch false bed and the M400/C6.. with Aussie 2v's.
My 59 has a 8 inch lift on 32's and a Dana 60 front axle NP205 and M400/C6. I think the 57-60's look better than the 55-59 chevys.. i also have a Cameo.. Fordguy for sure!
