- Linear Regression is the Most simple yet an Efficient machine learning algorithm
So, you landed up here after scavenging over the internet to understand Linear Regression and I must say that your search ends here.
So without further waiting, let us just jump to it.
“Generalisation is the ultimate goal of any machine learning algorithm”
Two major types of problems that machine learning algorithms try to solve are:
Regression - Predict continuous value of a given data point
Classification - Predict the class of the given data point
Linear Regression, intuitively is a regression algorithm with a Linear approach. We try to predict a continuous value of a given data point by generalising on the data that we have in hand. The linear part indicates that we are using a linear approach in generalising over the data.

Hi Krish
I have nominates this playlist for "The Narional Creator Award".
All the best and thanks alot for all your efforts.
No sir if anyone is looking it for the first time in his life without having the basic required knowledge that person to understand it properly...the best explanation of linear regression..thanks a lot sir❤
right 💯
One of the best lectures on linear regression on youtube. Thank you very much. Please continue this series.
Great video sir best explaination ever. Sir at 20:10 equation should be (0+(0.5)*1) and (0+(0.5)*2)
Thankyou so much so sir
Sir, this is a Crime You can't let this stream Quality content for Free. Best teacher in the domain of Data Science. Hats off to you sir!!
Bro is literally the best teacher, other youtubers are just nursery class NPCs with surface level memorized material.
wow man... Just amazing... tried to learn this topic from multiple channels and finally landed here... Just amazing
One of the best in-detail explanations of Linear Regression.
Hi Krish, shout out to Andrew Ng
your videos are very interesting even you do the technical explanation. I am newbee to DS world, I am doing a course with Greatlearning . But your videos are quite impressive than that of the IIT faculties teaching online.
Those are academic based, its training based, most of them r researcher so some r good some okay, follow book 4 5 books and filter 2 book for notes and then watch vedios .
@@Satyam1010-N can you recommend me some books? I bought Python Data Science Handbook, but it doesn't come with any mathematical explanation.
Sir shudh Hindi upanyas me bola jaata tha. Aapne bht ache se samjhaya. Mujhe ye concept pata hai lekin aaj aur bhi clear ho gaya😊😊
Well explained
Ofcourse sir, when ur face is visible so i learn like someone is in front of me to guide. please never ever turn off ur wecam...its also helps a lot for virtual appearance
sir u are amazing I watched this video three times to master this concept.
sir I am student of mathematics and statistics our teachers can't use this kind of approach for easy understanding.
now i am feel better to learn more about ML. every teacher should gain teaching skills like you hand off thankyou sir
One thing i want to say : Great Channel in entire world ❤❤ @ Krish Naik
Great explanation sir! mein around 2 month se linear regression ke peche ka logic padne ki koshish kar raha tha par aaj jaakar samaj aaya
Really great work sir, i have enrolled in a course for DS learning , but the teachings are really boring and hectic there , but your vids are so simple to understand ,clean execution.. Thankyou for all Ur efforts . The vids are really helpful for ppl like me , who wants to strengthen the basics. Hindi vids are relatable and quick to grasp.
Waoo, great fan of your sir, you expain each and every technical concept very deeply. Your videos are best among all of the other stuff available.
Instantly suscribed. Amazing teaching especially when you explained the gradient descent concept so nicely
Thank you sir. Very nice explanation. Some of my basic maths is clarified with this video too. Thanks again.
Sir, I'm hoping to learn DS and your videos are really good, went through all your playlist but couldn't find a specific playlist for beginners in DS, It would be really helpful if u could make a sperate playlist
yeah much needed i got the concept too but didn't able to build my fundamentals as a newbee
Excellent quality of education content for free. You are a King of DS industry from India.
Jaberjast explanation. Peta hai sir, ineuron mein bahot se trainner hain. But knowledge hona aur usko express kerna do alag cheeje hain. U r the only trainers baki sab bas time pass hain. Maine apne bahot se friend ho ineuron recommend kiya on condition if Krish sir padha rehe hain to course register kero else koi bhi ho sunny or that IITian guy or even Sudhansu then register on your own risk.
Absolutely Amazing method of teaching. I have never seen any instructor before you. LOVE from PAKISTAN.
we want to see your face sir because it feel like interactive. but one suggestion if you remove background by using chromakey or any thing else it will better. although everything is good. Thanks for making wonderful conceptual series.
😀
just a nitpick at 47:30 in case2: when slope is negative, theta(1) should be equal to theta + alpha*(slope). hence only theta(1) will decrease otherwise in your case theta(1) is increasing. The video is fabulous though.
Well explained. Very excited for Hindi series.
wow sir........What an amazing Explanation. One of the best explanation on youTube.Instantly subscribed.
Crystal clear Sir ! Thanku so much for great expalaination.
Excellent and easiest explanation but SIr Gradient Descent is too slow for large data set and for that we further moves to stochastic gradient descent. Sir It will be very nice of you if you will cover further details and along with the conversion of mathematical portion of algorithm to python program with some practical example.
Great initiative in Hindi Thanks Krishna
Awesome, you are one of the best teachers... take a bow ..
thanks for conducting session in hindi sir. Most of the time coding is better understood in Hindi only.😀
0:57 Yeaaaahh ! Abhi maaza ayega na bhidu ! 😁
Thank you so much
such a helpful video, really appreciate your efforts krish!
👏
Sir i think Y=mx+c Y=Independent variable,M=Intercept of the line,C=Slope of the line am i right
becasue u say c=intercept of line,m=slope of line which is correct
Yes your right...

You are also good teach in hindi...very nice tutorial in hindi.......please Teach Deep Learning in hindi laguage.
best content on internet today...thank you sir.
OP SIRR ek hi baar me pura samaj aagaya thanks sir ji
Etne aache se gradient decent Maine kvi nhi smjha tha ❤❤❤❤❤
sir , why we do this by using θ1+θ2*x1 where θ1=c= intercept, θ2=m=co-effiicient and well x=x .? sorry but it confused me a bit.😅
sir thanks for uploading in hindi. AAb aap love hai hamarey .
plz upload the remaining videos
thank you sir, this is gold for us ❤
sir, I have a doubt, cost function ka graph bhi toh cost function ki values se hi plot hua hai and cost function ki values ke liye theta1 ki values pta honi chhaiye, so basically hume wo theta1 ki value toh pta hi hai jiske liye cost function min hai, only then we can plot the graph of cost function, so why we are using the repeat convergence theorem ??
It is really a good source. I have doubt that, we can check the max or min value by with 2nd order derivative. is my question in right direction?
bht time bad koi acha mentor mila
thanks sir for explaining in hindi like its totally understandable.
I am new to Machine Learning. I have a question regarding a dataset where the output column (dependent variable) is skewed. Can we normalize the output data? If not, why? I've seen many videos that recommend normalizing only the input data (independent variables).
Mast padaya sir ❤️ maine English me bhi dekha he apke vedio but mujhe Hindi me achha samja
You speak like match commentary, amazing , maza aya padhke ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
thank you sir for making video in hindi....wonderful teaching sir..

@@csetanmayjain AIML bro
@@ravindracute I'm also in the same course
Krish, I could see here we've intentionally kept theta Zero's value as zero , and Gradient Descent only helping to find the value of theta 1 only. How about finding the best value of theta Zero..?
Great great great ❤️
best video on linear regression!
Thank u sir......u r explanation is awesome....u r gr8 teacher
hahahaha khachaak line maar diya ... sir you amazing...i really seen all your AIML tutorials.
