- HEY GUYS,
So, HarmonyOS NEXT closed beta is yet to come and it looks like the new software’s public beta has already completed development. Tipster @FixedFocus says the HarmonyOS NEXT public beta development has completed and entered the stability testing for eligible devices. If true, the company might not take much time in the distribution of the HarmonyOS NEXT upgrade for its devices. After the beta release, we can expect a rapid rollout of closed and public software testing builds for Huawei device users. They only testing which remains is ‘stability testing’.

Development of a complete OS from scratch is a complex thing, 5 years is a record speed!

I'm not too excited unless my banking apps are supported.
If apk doesn’t support it will be problem for us cause, all the apps will not be there.

Please Huawei don't left out the global customers Huawei is not about China but globally except USA so don't sideline this time with harmonyos next as you did with harmonyos only relaying on emui
Harmony Next should only be available in China. The international version is still based on Android version 4.2 and is compatible with APK applications. Foreign companies will not take the initiative to adapt to Harmony Next in the short term.

I read that Harmony OS Next will be released in September alongside the Mate 70 phones.
Hope everything will be settled by December 2024: Huawei should be READY by now .just waiting for RIGHT TIME:

So in simple terms, HOS is building its own source code, instead of using Android's. That's all nice and I am sure it will be better but I am a little bit concerned about the compatibility. I remember my sister borrowing my computer once because her Mac book was not compatible with an important govt app for Visa applications, since Android and Windows are pretty much established systems, so I hope Huawei grow much faster than IOS.

The way Huawei fight against US sanctions and developed its own operating system,5g supporting chip and come back first in Chinese market and now looking forward to global release of their phones so Harmony OS Next should be as you described. Good luck Huawei waiting for you in Pak.

They can offer Developers a smaller cut, for example App store and Google Play store cuts 30% from every purchase a consumer made to the devs, AppGallery can just offer a 20% or 15% cut so this way more devs will be motivated to port their app into AppGallery 😃👍
Is this operating system able to work on all android phones or only Huawei"s phones ?
Only Huawei from the beginning ofcourse can other companies get it but the app support will not be good from the beginning so sure it will be China only and Pura 70 series and Mate 60 from the beginning and Mate 70 with release

@@ahmadahmal2942 Google services is used Globally so therefore they look more trustable compared to Huawei services, Also Google have YT, Play store that have more apps compared to AppGallery which is why people prefer Google services

I doubt about this new operating system because it lags behind Android apps and also with ios. Showing better app animations doesn't make it one step ahead of android.

Not accepting Android software at all is not the way out when the bulk of usable software is not in your universe yet. Huawei will end up pushing many people away. Don't di this complete shut-out of Android is my advice. If Huawei still will shut out Android software completely, those brands that still use Android like Honor, Oppo, Vivo, etc. will be smiling. So will Apple and Samsung!!! Keep inter-operatability mechanism with Android at all cost. That's the soundest advice I can give Huawei.
