Apple IOS is the same. They don't run Android apps. It means that Harmony OS will be using a different set of apps from Android some of which may be in common with Android. I hope this will be a great replacement for the Android apps.

The Minecraft Chinese version is partnered with NetEase, some NetEase's games are on HarmonyOS already and I assume Minecraft China is on the HarmonyOS version already. Minecraft could just get help from NetEase and make them a HarmonyOS version of their app

There is no law or regulation preventing US companies from developing native apps for HarmonyOS NEXT.. Trump prevented Google exclusively from cooperating with Huawei
The thing is it doesn't matter uf they use android for global units as they still cant run android apps cos theres no playstore. Even though u can sideload apps they still dont run aswell as native apps. So yeah bringing theirs own OS is the only sensible option
As long as Chinese taxpayers paid for the development of the app, I fully approve this. I may try to develop an app for this and then get the money and no more support. Huawei just shows that they are fully funded by Chinese government.
