They are working on a new OS named HarmonyOS NEXT which is not based on Android. Which also means that APKs won't work but there are many apps already being developed for HmOS Next.

@@X75005 yes I am like many other people that still research stuff about Huawei.
You don't know how a OP is working and how Huawei only doing a existing dump of a Kernel, written in C, C++, Rust and Cangjie. But the big problem of Cangjie is the language itself - it doesn't use English, it use chinese language. And I already tested it, the system is faaaaar away from finished status and a working status like Android or iOS (it's buggy and messy). Cheers!
