Let's disect what you just said. You claimed Huawei would have long taken over by now if not stopped by the US. I bought the mate 20 Pro when the Huawei hype was starting to blow up. At first, i was very impressed with the device. It had many things the iPhone at the time did not have. Fast charging, display fingerprint reader, Face ID with dedicated sensor, and so on. But the big issue with all Chinese phones is the software. They can't make it right. There is too much bloatware, if not bloatware it looks half-baked and not thought out. The Software experience on samsung mobiles or iPhones is miles ahead. And last but not least do you trust the chinese government?

    • @hussamghrayeb3565

@Grim_Azrael I don't trust any government to be honest specially American, to be honest my experience was awesome and there are many things I miss in Huawei, but now I'm using Samsung cause I couldn't live without the Android

    • @ex0duzz
      @ex0duzz 7 месяцев назад

Thats a long time ago, ie bad software. Now they are developing their own as a priority and not as an afterthought. Just look at we chat or tiktok or xiaomi and their electric cars etc, the software is getting a lot better and is better than west if you know how to read Chinese and use in China.
And have you any evidence of Chinese software spying? Because Snowden showed us USA has rooted and spied on everything.
But let's assume they do spy and do the same as usa. So what? If you live in the west, what can Chinese gov do to you? Chinese gov can't force your gov to do anything, but USA can kidnap you or just straight up make your gov send you to USA on false charges. Just see assange. Even worse if you live in 5 eyes country who all spy on each other and share the info and they are basically all vassal states of USA.
Id rather china gov or Chinese companies spy on me and USA and west doesn't than the other way around. I don't fear Chinese gov spying on me but I do fear USA and my own government(5 eyes). Chinese companies can't be forced to hand over all my info to my government or USA gov. that's a bonus for me.
If you prefer your own gov spying on you and think that's safer then ok. But I can talk shit about my gov in West and they can't touch me. I can talk shit about Chinese gov and they can't censor or touch me either. So best of both worlds.

Coming from an ex iPhone user, I must say that HUAWEI is, by far, THE IT brand when it comes to mobile phone camera photography and functionalities. Sanctions? No Google services? What? We used to live without Google many many years ago - there are always side-loads that you can find out there. Huawei was "slammed to a point of no return" by "the forces that be" and yet, they still come out stronger than before! iPhone killer? Well, YES! yet to buy the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra coz I'm still using my back-then jaw-dropping Huawei P30 Pro (which survived countless of drops on hard surfaces and in water and it still LIVES).

I have enjoyed and not enjoyed many phones. The problem is the Apps. Not the phones. The Apps make or break a phone. And if you are not fluent in the app's language, you are doomed. And will eventually walk away from that brand. I have owned 2 Huawei, 4 Apple, 4 Samsung, 2 OPPO, Motorola, and other phone brands. And the best Apps is Apple. I just bought a Huawei Pura Ultra 1TB here in China. I want it to work well as the cost is getting up there. My wife is going to the Mall now to buy a Pura Ultra. I wish for the best. I do not believe in the Bi or Tri-folds at this time. The screens will fail. I am sure of that. They have an optional warranty you can buy. So only 1 replacement in one year. Maybe different in your location.

Good Review. I live in China, and I have 3 phones: a Xiaomi 14 Ultra, a Huawei 70 Pura Pro Plus, and an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I find them all very similar in Photos. Just a little difference in colors then grainy or too soft. All of the phones do a good job. I find that Huawei is better at taking action shots and Macro Shots. I was at the Huawei Store today in Dongguan, trying to find the Tri-Fold pho ne. None there. So, I was comparing the specs on the Pura 70 Pro, Pura 70 Pro Plus, and the Pura 70 Ultra. The store manager told me that the best buy for the buck was the Pura 70 Pro Plus. There are discounts on the Pura phones now. Now getting the apps I like is often difficult or not available. ie. Google apps. I was trying to get some of the apps in Hong Kong.
The next item to buy here is the BYD Denza Z9 GT.

iPhone does not have any competition because the Apple brand represents a lifestyle of being different and premium. The foundation of Apples success is its amazing operating system that cannot be stolen due to copyright laws. Apple attracts the best software engineers from the world that want to work for the company. Huawei does not represent anything and it is just seen as another phone and washing machine manufacturer. Huawei can have the best camera but most people dont care. They simply want to buy the next Apple iPhone. Tesla is another company which people see as a lifestyle brand.

tbh, having a powerful flagship chipset and performance in general is really down to the longevity of that phone that you can use over the years without having issues. and yes, the benefit of that powerful chipset/performance are also about gaming, AI capabilities, image processing etc2.

Back in the days i had the huawei mate 8 and I was loving it, i had a lot of samsungs and also iphone but i was impressed with huawei, really sad after the ban i could not buy one. Theoretically i could only problem is banking majority of the apps are not in app galary, i still buy products from them for example watches, they have amazing watches and headphones. Perhaps i am just gonna buy the phone as a second device

  • @nikytamayo

I had the first dual, the P9... it was really fascinating... cover the black and white secondary camera, and you really notice the difference in image quality out of the color main.
I still have the first telephoto, the P20 Pro, which was the last phone you could do raw black and white out of. And I use the first periscope, the Mate 40 Pro (well, second after the P40 Pro) as my daily work camera.
As for that pop out lens, sadly, I think Tecno beat them to the punch by about a year... but Huawei's uses a bigger sensor and comes with a variable aperture... and much better output.

Personally I'd say performance is important because some companies like banks develop and test their apps on flagship devices and so those apps usually malfunction on cheaper slower devices due to the timeout on processing built in the apps for security reasons. I've had to switch to a more powerful phone just to be able to make payments from my banks app.

What about the Pro Version of it?
Has it nearly the same Camera-Power as the ultra?
If I would import a Pro, because of the 5G-ability and the nicer color.
Would I come clear with the harmony os installed on it, instead of the emui in europe?
Can u or somebody answer my questions, please.
Actually I use a p40pro global with emui.
