yeah, personally, for heavy rifles with heavy recoil. I'll stick to my Fortmeier bipods. Far superior in strength to anything made by atlas. That being said, that accu tac he is using is better than atlas. What you seen in the video was the "cant" NOT being locked out before firing. The 50 bmg also does more than recoil rearwards. It first pulls away (muzzle brake pull off) then recoils rearwards WHILE rotating the rifle. The rotation is from the torque generated by the twist rate in the barrel spinning up the heavy bullet. Whole lot more going on here than lil 308 or 300win that one would put an atlas on.
The sounds I think you are referring to are people preparing other firearms to my left and to my right. There was x2 .50s out there that day. And a really fancy 300wm
@@adamron6 its just supposed to have a little resistance I'm sure it has a set screw to adjust it at that short,of distance u dont really notice but u start stretching it out and man its night and day
Because of the weight of the platform.. It may appear loose. But was super comfortable. There was a steel plate at 200yrds...lol I center punched it. And the stand that was holding it fell over immediately afterwards. Hence the voice you hear saying... Timberrrr lol Was a decent set up. Prohib now. This was a few years back now. I only seen msgs recently
@@adamron6 oh yes they make tremendous energy I shoot the 750gr hornady A max rounds seated in front of 233 grains of hodgdons H50BMG powder in a Lapua match brass shell at the muzzle its a little over 14,000 ftlbs of force and here at the farm I only have 815 yards to play with but I average 3.5 and 4" groups its zeroed at 200 yards its consistant 1" groups at 100 yards its shooting hole in hole the last group 3 shot at 100 yards was 11/16 at the widest part and if u subtract the diameter of the bullet 8/16 it was a 3/16 group hornady sends me my projectiles for testing and when I shoot comps

You need to work on your follow through. Look at upgrading the bipod to the 5H from Atlas. Gorgeous firearm! Thanks for sharing.
