Does the slip-on naturally make those popping sounds when revving? Or do you take something out the bike to make it sound that way?
It make those pops natural. Its cold air going into the back of the muffler.

The 400's sound best in person with the original exhaust, you can feel the powerful zzzzzzzz,,,, on video they sound like scooters.😅
I bought a Ninja 500, my first ever motorcycle. The ship it with the factory shift light set at like 5000 rpm. If you don't realize this, like me, you may be disappointed with the sound, until you realize it's redline is more like 11k and you reset the shift light, lol.
I was like I'm in 6th gear only going 45 and it's STILL flashing non-stop UPSHIFT! UPSHIFT!
NOW it sounds great because I'm getting to the powerband lol.
I have noticed that under 6k it sounds like a Kawasaki side by side, but in the high range it does sound sporty.
It's a good upgrade, but a parallel 180 degree crank will never sound good, no matter how good of an exhaust you put on it.
