Desert ATV Camping In A Hot Tent: Grilled Ribeye & Awesome Drone View

  • I head out for a Winter Desert ATV Camping Trip setting up my new One Tigris Hot Tent. The Desert is no stranger to getting cold at night and with temperatures hitting 7 degrees for a low it was plenty cold enough to give this a go! Camping in the desert is a great way to get out and enjoy a night of camping. The ATV trails I rode to my camp spot were beautiful and extremely primitive mainly because not a whole lot of people visit this area. Most folks often overlook desert camping so you can expect to have areas to yourself.

Hey Buddy! This was your best video by far, really love seeing your landscape ! Such beautiful country ! I Also like the history lessons haha Seriously though, I'm a history buff and I think thats why I like exploring so much, just thinking about the old days. The camp set up looked great, I see you had a Onetigris tent, which model did you get? it looks bigger than mine, and the stove, was the Onetigris too? the steak and potatoes looked really good ! Lots of marbling in that steak. Drone shots are killer, with the mountains in the background. I Could talk all day about it but I dont wanna bore ya haha Keep the videos coming, if you keep making videos like this you will grow quick. thanks for sharing buddy ! Cheers from Canada !

    • @ManzanoManATVAdventures

I am a big history buff as well. The area I was riding in is rich in history with a total of 3 ruins that were built in the 1800s. I can't help but think of the lives they lived and what it was like. Can you imagine living in an older time? It would be wild!
I was using the Onetigris Black Orca Model. It was a roomy tent and the stove I am using is the Wild Wild West stove that I got from luxe outdoors. I had been wanting to get one for a while now to enjoy those cold nights a little better. Watching your videos helped make me pull the trigger on wanting to get one.
I love the marbling on a ribeye steak! It keeps it nice and juicy plus it goes down well with some cold beers haha. I love flying the drone! When I take it up it blows me away what it looks like since we can't see anything from the ground. Hey man, no worries. I could spend hours talking about this stuff as well. Get me by a campfire and some beers, forget it I'll never shut up, haha.
The channel is growing and I couldn't be more happier. Thanks for your support and watching buddy. Take care buddy.

Hey Rueben, this video pretty much just blew me away. Mainly because I think you must have been freezing your butt off most of the time except for when you had a fire going but especially when you were riding. You know I love the drone shots, I really liked the one at the beginning when it was following you up the trail. Another shot I really liked was in the morning when you slowly panned away from your tent, That was sweet! Thanks for bringing us with on your overnight atv camping trip buddy! Happy New Year to you and your family!👍🏼☮️

Every time I take my drone up I am thinking of you buddy. I like that you enjoy my drone work in my videos and I enjoy flying it around. It was cold no doubt and the fire felt great! Even the hot coffee warmed me up some more haha. I also enjoyed that slow pan away from my tent in the early morning. It captured my ATV glazed over with ice and the skirt of the tent iced up as well with smoke flowing! Really cool!

I love the channel. It's what I'm doing every chance I can here in Nevada. 1 thing I do with my potatoes is pre cook them at home an put in plastic bag. I have heard from several about the riding availability we have here is the west. New Mexico has a lot of designated land for camping, off roading, and more. Nice tent set up / stove your on the way to give Maritimer and Josh gammon a run 😂 haha. Always enjoy when one of your videos is out ! All the best in 2021 . @ManzanoManATVAdventures  3 года назад +1

Hey buddy! You read that right. The beer did say Scotia on it. I could not help but think of my Canadian followers from Nova Scotia when drinking this beer. New Mexico is loaded with lots of terrain deep canyons to big mountains. Flying a drone and riding makes it a lot of fun. Plus the history is rich out here. A lot of ruff people use to live and run through New Mexico. Billy the Kid, Apache Kid, and so many more. So a lot of these dwellings were attacked and people were ran off.
I appreciate you telling me about the head lamp you use. I will have to check it out and pick up a new light since mine kept dying in the cold weather. I appreciate the comparison of 2 great RUclips channels Maritimer and Josh Gammon. If I ever grew into a midlevel channel I would be super greatful! Hey bud. The early sunsets sure do make a mess of things when you're trying to accomplish anything outdoors, haha. Geez, you're like a gourmet chef out there in the wilderness! But what if it is a velociraptor!!! Hahahaha! We have some harons and sandhill cranes that take up residence in our creek, and man, they are the most obnoxious, dinosaur sounding creatures I have ever heard. You'd never think a bird was making that noise. Someday maybe I'll epic sneak out there in the summer, and capture just how ridiculous these things are.
What's the story with that windmill? Is that a part of that homestead? Do these lands get used for cattle?
Man, to the north of me is Hurley, WI in Iron County. And that place is all red clay. And you are not wrong, it is impossible to get clean!

I love cooking in the outdoors. I am sure when it starts to get darker later that I will actually cook a meal with natural light haha. That wild call I heard I am now guessing was mountain lion. I came home as started listening to calls and it matched, kinda creepy now that I look back on it. I wonder if my mind would have changed if I knew what was calling?
Oh man, I know all about cranes. I live in a farming community and they land all around my house. They are loud and can be obnoxious. Beautiful birds, but loud. I think you should sneak up and get an epic rampage of them. It's wild how loud they are.
The wind mill is used to pump water into nearby tanks to collect water. I didn't see any cows at all so I am wondering if there is a time of year when cows are places there to graze. Plus the homestead owners might have placed it there decades ago. There is no history to be found so any idea or thought is valid.

Just a little piece of friendly advice from a fan. Try to avoid saying "ah" at the end of your words. It's a bit annoying, to be honest, in an otherwise excellent video. I did subscribe, and I'm looking forward to more great adventures from the Old West!

Thanks for subscribing! I noted your feedback and I will work on this. I appreciate you stopping by to watching my video and leaving a comment. I look forward to working on some great videos. The old west is a great place to ride. We cover trails that older legends did like Billy the Kid and more who travelled these routes. Thanks again and have a great weekend.

Hello Sir, Where are you at? Are you close to the Mexico border?

Hey man! I hope all is well. I am actually in central New Mexico maybe 160 miles north of Mexico. The desert comes to an end in this general vicinity so the look of it is cool. Lots of trees, cactus, the mountains, and bits of snow. I’ll be back in this area again come winter. Have a great weekend buddy.

@@ManzanoManATVAdventures Can you please send me the coordinates? I would like to explore this area as well. Thanks!

    • @ManzanoManATVAdventures
      @ManzanoManATVAdventures  2 года назад

These coordinates is the start of the trail I took:
34.49101, -106.41691 - take this in a little ways to a trail that climbs the side of the cliff side. It’s a little steep but manageable. Up at the top is a gate to pass through. Make sure to close it, a Rancher monitors the area since his property is near by. I have ran into him and all he wants is the gate closed because of cows. But that land is public lands. From there begins the start to a handful of trail.

Hey there ManzanoMan, need your help, we are new to the youtube posting, we posted on your site on this video but never got a reply. Did you get the post or did we not post correctly? We are posting our own videos and want to be sure we are doing it correctly. I hope you can help us with this. Thanks. M&C roadscapes

Hey there. Welcome to RUclips and I look forward to watching your videos. I just subscribed to your channel and would love to support you and follow your journey.
I didn't get any comment from you at all and I also checked my spam comments, occasionally some go to this folder and I have no idea why. I don't know why your post would not have come through. I would assume you posted correctly since I did receive this comment. I am not exactly sure why RUclips would have intercepted your previous comment.

@@ManzanoManATVAdventures Thank you for the reply, we enjoy watching your rides, we live in northern Arizona and the area and altitude you ride in is so similar to ours, our area is restricted, we pretty much have to stay on existing roads and the majority of them are gated once it snows.

I love AZ. It is so beautiful out your way. I will eventually ride out there and explore. That is good to know about your riding restrictions. Our forest close in the winter months and will open back up in April. We have to stay on path if it declares it, otherwise we can go of trail and create you own path. I tend to stick to trails because I don’t want to beat down my own path unless I am trying to reach a camping spot. Thanks for your reply. I hope you guys are well and enjoying the outdoors.
