- Winter camping in a Russian Bear Market Up-2 Mini Hot tent. Will it keep me warm on a cold freezing winter night? This was my first experience with this tent and I must say I am very happy with its performance! I had a cozy stay in the deep snow and enjoyed a wonderful meal cooked in my Pomoly Oven.

Way too small sized tent for such a big stove,you could easily warm a six person tent.

Ok I loved every minute of this, but couldn’t help thinking that I would have burned myself about a thousand times on that stove! 😂 if the top is hot enough to boil water on, I’d be constantly bumping into it! This is not for clumsy ppl like me 🤓

We went winter hunting and fish camping with the Cree natives of Northern Quebec a couple decades ago. They had a canvas hot tent with a homemade wood burning stove and we had a three season backpack tent. They cut fresh Spruce boughs for flooring and we had thin sleeping bag pads. Ever since that trip, I've been looking for something more like what they had. This Russian Bear winter tent looks like the easiest answer. Wondering what a thing like that would cost in the Eastern U.S. Very inspiring.

Always! I have quite a few backups lol! Fire steel, matches, magnesium rod, lighters obviously, etc. I would hate to be stuck without fire!

My 27 yo Son has one of these… the lives in all winter, late spring and fall. It has held up to blizzards. -50 with 120 mile winds…Several Storms it has been great!!!
It’s worth the money to get the 3 layered floor as well. He got that later. Makes the floor much warmer.
(he did get more sturdy guy lines that hold better than the ones it comes with) For the price its a house. With a great cot and -40 bag he is self sustaining self efficient and loves it! I am OFF grid and got rid of my all seasons camper, I am getting the double cube. I have dogs. Now I can go to more remote places …. We have been nomad for 8 years and we have bought all the tents …. This one is 100 the best one you will ever have

A very beautiful tent. I had the chance to see somebody in the alps living in it for a month nearly. Very hot inside 😆 plus the wine and food we gave him made it hotter. This man lifted it up easy. Then just he was in short pants and shirt. In europe the price you find it complete for around 900 euro complete with stove. Less than an apple 🍎 phone and a perfect home . Great video as usual well done 😊.

I began watching this and instantly began thinking about my 3 year old son and how I want to share my wilderness survival training with him. This is synchronicity not knowing about him losing a child.
Finally! Some one who knows God made these beautiful out doors and thanks him for everything we do and have. I stumbled onto your site and am so glad I did. Love your tent. It’s a bit pricey for me and here in Tennessee would be a bit overkill for our winter. Gonna look at all of your other videos. You and God, Family, Guns are my favorites now.

I noticed the way you start your fires. There is an easier way. As a boy scout here in Canada, we were taught the top down method. 3 sizes of wood. Start with the larger pieces on the bottom. This insulates and allows gaps for air and coals to drop. The medium pieces go on top of the larger ones and then the kindling on top. Light the top and the coals start the fire. In a stove like yours, it's easier to maintain heat and logs last longer. Typically 6-8 hour fires in my stove

Wonderful!! I'm so glad to see you tried the tent!! A little advice, if your going to have to cook in the oven, do it before night time, around 4 or 5 while still light cause it's not so cold out and you can leave the door open because it will run out out, as you saw. What a charming & cozy setup. I have never been camping in the snow before. The coldest temperature I have camped in was about 15F. But it snows like once every 20 years or so down here in texas. I get a cozy feeling watching these winter hot tent videos.
This is by far my favorite setup! Very comfy tent and super easy to set up! Winter camping is also the best time to camp. Hardly any people around and no bugs!

Looks so so cosy. I used go caming alot as a young teen with my group of friends. My dad always bought us the best big tents for me and my friends to use. I miss camping
