Recorded on Steingraeber Phoenix piano at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Boulder, Colorado on November 25, 2019.
Wow! What an amazing performance. This is my favorite keyboard piece by Bach. Your tempo and voicings are perfect. Most pianists take it too fast. I really think this is probably the best performance of 911 on RUclips. I will keep your performance in mind as I continue to study it.
I enjoy listening that tocata because I played it.
I love Bach.
Dear Karmen, you have won a subscriber thanks to this video. I had listened to your playing some other pieces, and of course I liked how you play, but this one has taken me to a different level. I am not a specialist, of course, but here I have thought to myself: "-Oh, this is how I had always thought that Bach should be played!" Your dynamics is fabulous. In this music, you find poetry and mystery and convey them in a degree that I do not find in other performances. Thank you for sharing, keep up the good work, and best wishes and thoughts from Spain!
Thank you so much for your kind words! Music to me has always been about telling stories without words. Best wishes from Colorado :)
Gracias 💙
Dear Karmen, as others also wrote: your playing developed a lot, today I felt your very own way of interpreting! I am shure: the spirit of Glenn Gould is on your side, encouraging you to get into your own and deep way of playing... these moments are enriching my life, thank you very much!
Simple, awesome, fantastic.
You are brilliant! Exquisite performance.
Congratulations. No comparison with other pianists.
Absolutely gorgeous! And just look at her beautifully raised fingers!
Thank you for you compliment :)
Your voicing is incredible
Thank you so much!
0:08 Toccata

3:26 Fuga I.
6:15 Fuga II.
I wish youtube had a love button
It was an excellent performance of Toccata . There was a very good nuance and an excellent technic as well. I wish the artist health and much mire success. Thanks for uploading.
Bravo, Karmen! Fabulous interpretation… where you dont make the music be, but you let the music and Bach be what it wants to be 👍
This is a fantastic performance.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Your Bach interpretations are incredible!
Thank you for your lovely performances and I look forward to seeing all the cool stuff you do!
Bach seems alive inside your sky
Bach is the greatest
@@bwv232 Yes, but Mozart composed the 41 (Jupiter) symphony.
@@laurenth7187 I started hating more and more the youtube discussions about who is "the greatest" → greatest composer, greatest violinist, greatest pianist, or even the greatest youtube user etc.
Would be better to replace that with "my favourite".
Every artist explored different parts of the musical space (spazio musicale). Sometimes they are on the same level but they made different things, or similar things but in different way.
And maybe, the same person, in different stages of his/her life will prefer a different artist...
And most of musicians of the history were forgotten - even Bach was almost forgotten.
Beautiful .The music comes first and so eloquently played . Perfect tempo, voicing & deliciously crisp articulation. Many thanks 👏👏
Absolutely wonderfully played ❤
Very captivating performance as many others of yours! Waiting eagerly for you to appear with recordings at Apple Music and other platforms someday, the sooner the better✌
Amazing!
MEGA WOW !!!!
wow
Magic!
I like your studious and reserved demeanor. It's very unique. You're not trying to be flashy or overly dramatic like so many of the other pianists out there who make unnecessary distracting gestures and noises. Very classy and elegant physical style and choice of clothing. It could really set you apart from other pianists going forward. Black clothing is always super classy, plus it matches the piano so well, and highlights your ivory skin, which of course complements the ivory keys.
Soulful.
Talentosa está entre is grandes. Maravilha.
Muito obrigada!
Really really first class just a couple of memory slips in the second fugue but got back on the horse very smoothly. Well done. 👏👏
❤
Bel brano di Bach magnificamente eseguito
Beautiful. I came to know this piece from Glenn Gould's playing but I rather like this interpretation better.
😊
Grazie mille!
You have the right tempo, much better than Argerich (yes), and everyone else who is too fast.
Wow, thank you so much! That means a lot :)
@@bwv232 Bach is "a square spirit inside a round body" :) You're so brilliant, i wish you all the success you deserve.
@@laurenth7187 To whom is that quote (?) attributed and what does it mean?
@@kennethprimack6467 from my former teacher, it means nothing ;-)
@@laurenth7187 What was your point, then, in posting a meaningless quote? 🤔
👏
I listen fugues 500% #lower. Transcendantal experience.
That's a good idea, I might try that.
she believes in every note she plays, perhaps only then, you interpret
Te amo nena.. con todo mi ser.. mi unico sueño en la vida es tener una mujer como vos como pareja
Argerich takes 19' 24"!
Amazing!
