Can 3rd party plugins (or at least the other plugins in the SSL suite) be used inside the 360 mixing console as inserts/sends to allow you to mix entirely in that view?
Dave you are consistent. I have moved to Luna because it sounds good and is gorgeous but the workflow isn’t as snappy as studio one 6 professional. I left studio one due to several crashing issues when using UAD plugins and the tech support is not great but the workflow is priceless so I had to come back to Studio one and thanks to you I feel like it was a great decision because it seems you use it quite often.
I have studio one verzion 5, on windows 10, the uc-1 transport controls don't work I have them selected in the settings, everything else works, any suggestions would be great, thanks Rickie
@@HomeRecordingMadeEasy yea got it to work had to setup the Mackie control on studio one 5, it's all working now! I'm running a single channel PreSonus fader port for now, in conjunction with it! for writing my automation.
Hi and love your videos, are you using Studio one 5 or 6? I can not get my plugin to follow tracks when I turn the knob on my UC1 like you do around 19:19 in your video. I don't have them pinned. Thanks
SSL Channel Strip does not need to be first plugin in chain to show up in plugin mixer. It does help to have them all in the same row of inserts to move between the instances of the plugin. Plugin does seem to need to be open to sync with UF8 selection.
in terms of cpu, is it like UA thta host the pluins in the unit or the plug ins run by the computer? and can i still use my pre sonus 16 and the UC 1 together?
I have an issue where the track names don't sync with UC1 in Studio One 6. It just says Track 1, 2, 3, etc... Is this something you encountered? Thanks.
UK viewer/Logic user here 🇬🇧 I watch all your SSL related videos and more.. Thank you. Recently I have had reasonable success putting a UAD Tape emulation going into the SSL Channel strip. Unfortunately this screws up operation of the controller in Logic as it requires the channel strip to be inserted in the first slot... 😑
Got on top of all this, except for some reason transport won't work (Logic Pro). Anyone else had this? In fact just realised that even the space bar stops working when 360 is launched. So far havent been able to trace the problem
@@HomeRecordingMadeEasy It's not a big deal. I was more or less confirming. I'm waiting to see how this turns out for you as I've narrowed myself down to either SSL or Softube (Softube would definitely be cheaper).
I like the 360 software and a touch screen monitor. If you have 2 monitors and 1 is a touch screen you can dedicate that screen to the 360 and interact directly with it without the need to even have the UC1. You cut out the middle man
Technology just keeps defeating itself. So we buy the UC1 to give us some tactile feel when using our software plugins, then we get a dedicated monitor to help us bypass the UC1. What do we really want?

you need to use the VST3 version of the plugin and the track names work
