"Life starts at the end of your comfort zone.", says Karikku founder and creative head Nikhil Prasad.
Quitting his IT job and taking risks in life wasn't easy for Nikhil but he was determined to start something new and hence started the digital media channel 'Karikku'. Nikhil Prasad is the founder and creative force behind the channel Karikku which airs the mini web series 'Thera Para'. Thera Para is the first super hit mini web series in Malayalam. Known for handling genuine humor, the journey of Karikku began in 2018 and has since then gained a subscriber base of more than 1 million.
Nikhil began producing short videos for online web platforms two years ago. He has formerly worked as an Assistant Manager at Amrita TV and served the role of Technical Head at various media companies. Nikhil Prasad watched and researched web series in many languages before coming up with the idea of 'Thera Para'. Prior to 'Thera Para', Nikhil did short videos related to the Fifa world cup in 2018. Nikhil reveals that he wanted the audience to feel fresh as if they have had some refreshing Karikku when they watch the channel and hence came up with the name 'Karikku'.
