The Von Dutch bike is nothing special, if it was built by anyone else it would have been junked a long time ago. Unless you knew the story behind it, would it still be interesting? I don't think so because it looks like some mountain man has just cobbled together a load of parts. A thing of beauty is a joy forever they say. Dutch was a great engineer/gunsmith and pinstriper but he should have had his eyes open when he put that thing together.

Just saw this bike at the American Pickers store in Nashville. A piece of history but not a beauty.
On October 17 the History channel will show a production of the Restoration of Von Dutch’s bus recently finished in Phoenix Az.
