“You made a good point, it’s just hard for me to go against my personal bias” - Stephen A.
That’s exactly what he was saying 😂😂
Lmaooo
I mean the data reddick was using didn't track when bird played. Bird also played a lot less games so the total stats in terms of game winners, clutch buckets, etc don't really count
Sounds just like a majority of basketball fans who make bad arguments.
It’s not personal bias it’s his personal opinion … that what they’re debating
nobody : normal recent years conversation
mad dogg: 1700s 😭
And bro isn't even that much older than SAS
Hank finkle is insane 😭😭😭
Not really, it’s an NBA history question so he made a reasonable answer
I hate that they only consider clutch as a shot.... clutch can be so much more.. the right pass, a steal, a block ... whatever it's not jus a shot ...I hate this argument
I couldn't agree more. Very underrated point, I hope they realise this soon for this argument
You win the game with points !! Only people who can’t play make arguments like this
Lol if that was the case then ppl couldn’t disparage Lebron for making the right clutch play. They want to keep it at “shots” so they can have an argument against Bron, but he has the most playoff buzzer beaters now so even that won’t work. Lebron is the most clutch player of all time, in large part due to his IQ and willingness to make the right play at all times, even if it means someone else takes the shot. (See Lakers vs Warriors 2021 7/8 Play In Game- Lebron dagger, See Lakers vs Timberwolves 2023 7/8 Play In game- Lebron assist on D. Schroeder 3 to take lead)
@@qdamusiq5006 Maybe Lebron shouldnt have blocked Iggys shot then if it wasnt that important 🙄
@@qdamusiq5006 so a game winning block doesn’t?
MJ, Kobe, and LeBron. Everything else is just in your head or perhaps even your feelings. JJ is correct this time
Signed, guy who's never watched a game before the 90s
I would take Lebron off that list since he is pass first player.
@@macbethdemilo7253 ok but bron is the no. 1 in this field like jj said. So what if bron wasn't the pass first guy? It's just feels weird thinking about how we downplay bron. J too was a hater but cmon the pass first guy is no. 1 in points leaderboard too, and his legacy still continues until he stops. The dude is just in his own league
@@macbethdemilo7253 lol
Lol dude Noone but maybe 3 men from.before 90 that can keep up today kid
Stephen A’s ability to consistently downplay Lebron’s achievements is truly incredible
Straight facts! Like how he always brings up when Draymond getting suspended and saying they would’ve lost if he played in game 5, but fails to acknowledge in the previous year Lebron had no Kyrie or KLove 😒
Lebron accolades and accomplishments doesn’t compare to Jordan
@@DatBoyZel Facts!
@@DatBoyZelagreed. Outside of the finals, Legoat has accomplished more💀
@@kiefcheith6025 no he hasn’t. Accomplishments are scoring titles mvps dpoy all first team. Yeah research that and come back to me
Thank you JJ
Respect to mad dog for keeping the players of old names alive, but my goodness 😂
He got a point though, you give the ball to Kareem in the post with seconds left it's pretty much over for you.
Can't say my goodness like you watched Kareem play and have enough data to disagree with him
@@suf1an658 you don't understand what I mean. He just brings them up. Every. Single. Time. 😂 It gets annoying
Don't worry, once you get older you'll sound the exact same to other younger basketball fans
Jj always backing it up with facts 👏 💯
Yeah but I’m taking bird over Lebron everyday all day even on Sunday ok.. so, his stats are making a case for the wrong guy, it’s Kobe, mike, and Larry for me
@@cstcboy stats don’t lie bud
@@RealMikeMiller13 Stats literally are a lie, fool. Take a statistics class and first thing they'll tell you is stats can be interpreted to fit any side of the argument. Longevity affects the numbers, teammates do as well, health, etc.
I guarantee u , if u ask jj who he wants in the clutch, I promise you he would NOT pick lebron
@@z-mane1438 but he would be lying to himself because history and stats suggest it's Lebron lol
Im ashamed that none of them didn't mention "Big shot Bob" Robert Horry. He was so clutch in the playoffs
He is the most clutch out of role players.
as a kings fan, big shot bob brings me nightmares
We used to call him will smith on steroids 😂
Yeh, role player doesnt count because theres no pressure on him like that of a superstar player.
We’ll role player or superstar wasn’t in the question. So yea to leave out big shot bob is blasphemy.
2023 and a Hank Finkel reference. Do your thing Mad Dog.
I yelled out "WHO?!?!" lol
Im stuned they give bron flowers
#1 for me: Michael Jeffrey Jordan.
He owned the biggest moments, where there was THE MOST AT STAKE. In the playoffs and more importantly IN THE FINALS (on both ends of the floor). Not glorified game winning or clutch moments in the regular season. You’re remembered by being CLUTCH in the biggest of moments.
Robert horry cold chillin
@Nikhil Trivedi he cant shoot...THATS A FACT 😂
@@jasonjohns147 how can he not shoot…he has the nba scoring record
@@luminousrxk7288 men stfu y’all just say anything to downplay lebron😂😂 MJ can’t shoot and the three pointer was shorter back then
@@jasonjohns147 jorbum couldn’t shoot. That gambler made 5 of 25 shots in the 3pt contest. L
Mad dog's Kareem take is legit. Even at 40+ they went to Kareem to hit clutch buckets because he's so automatic
Russell also deserves mention for never losing an elimination game and his untouchable streak of winning
He played before the birth of Jesus bro
And he played agaisnt farmers
@@higuys6662 Kareem was the Finals MVP in Jordan's rookie year. Kareem's rookie year was the season after Russell won his 11th championship.
The eras are interwoven and not really that far off from eachother. Just because they played before you decided to care doesn't mean they were bad. Stop regurgitating narratives about players you don't know about
@@higuys6662not true or funny
@@BigYARK its very similar to youth basketball an U11 can play with an U12 and fit in but the best U12 can play with the U13’s and fit in
So on and so forth until we reach the senior level just cause someone can play with someone who can play up who can play up doesn’t mean that an u11 can play senior like the fact that a player from the 1960’s cant play today, I don’t even know why were having this conversation just go look at his highlights and who he was playing against, these ancient players would get annihilated today
@@higuys6662 I guess MJ shouldn't be in this either then since players now are more athletic and trained than the player MJ was schooling right? lol stfu
We need more mad dog. Anytime you hear the name Hank Finkel, you know you're in for a treat
That's air finkel 😂😂
@@tadah21 😅😅
Love when Mad Dog is in the studio. He brings so much more than Perk.
JJ ALWAYS COOKIN 👑🐐🔥🔥🔥🔥‼️
Lmao stfu you dudes are such losers
JJ Redick: basketball didn't exist before I was born
Fax 🤦🏽
What about Big Shot Robert Horry?
Not saying he's better...but the dude hit, as his name says, critical playoff shots
Man them Lakers years were fun to watch and the Spurs years too. 🤣🏀🌊⏰
Right that's someone who's extremely clutch .
Paul pierce also
Recency bias but i gotta throw Dame in there
Isiah Thomas 2 rings, finals MVP, most points in a quarter in NBA finals on a bad ankle....so many clutch moments for him. Kahwi should be in the conversation. He goes to a different mode in the playoffs. 2019 run was incredible. 2014 finals he was also amazing. My top 5 would be: Jordan, Kobe, Bird, Isiah, Kahwi
No Lebron automatically your opinion is invalid
@@LukasP143 “ because you don’t worship the ground this person walks on like I do and kiss his feet. Your opinion is invalid” is pretty much a better way to explain your comment
To me there's only two cold blooded killers and they're MJ and Kobe. Players that would die on the court to get a win, who would steam roll through even if the mama was on the way. They were different built mentally. Anyways my top 5 would be: Jordan/Bryant/Bird/Olajuwon/Russell.
Dame deserves a spot
Absolutely. According to a take 2 years ago, SAS said Dames lead the league in clutch points in the last 5 sec of the game. Since 2012 lol
JJ is dropping the facts! Best NBA Analyst
Numbers from 97 on say LeBron by virtually every metric.
Obviously not fair to MJ or anyone before, blame the NBA for not tracking it
Kobe has a 42 minute long clutch shot video on RUclips let that sink in
So does Lebron I think Lebron is longer tbh 🥱
@@jameslopez488 kobe’s video is longer lol
@@jameslopez488 LeBron in the clutch is nothing compared to Kobe.
Stephan A giving Larry Bird some love was unexpected but much appreciated.
JJ always come wit facts!
Kobe
I'm saying Logo Lillard. I watched Austin Rivers pray to god while on the court after he missed.
One thing that Kobe deserved which he never got.
That boy should have an award for most clutch player ever, it’s like he never got credit.
I think that’s obviously what he was.
Most game winners ever (37)
Played in the slowest era ever, literally the hardest era to hit game winners by far 🤷♀️
No
@@PrinceSlade22 oh yes
Sad that Jerry West doesn’t get mentioned
Or Isiah Thomas
Mr.Clutch
Lmao why would he get mentioned
@@0103P I mean, the Clutch Player of the Year award is literally named the Jerry West award for a reason.
It's actually weird. Bron be so-so during the regular season but super clutch in the postseason & play-in...lol..... I'll take any of them honestly. Is there a wrong answer?!?
“We don’t wanna do black and white” Stephen A😂😂
Not the black and white footage 😭😂😂 Stephen A wild for that 😂😂
Stephen A Smith is in full character today, he must of had his Oberto Beef Jerky! lol
Thank god for JJ for using facts and not feelings.
"If I had to choose a player to take a shot to save a game, I’d choose Michael Jordan"
"If I had to choose a player to take a shot to save my life, I’d take Larry Bird." - Pat Riley
The most underrated clutch player ever is easily Paul Pierce. He’s scored or assisted on more game winning shots than anyone ever
I’ll even take iso joe Johnson or dame lilliard
Joe Johnson is factually the most clutch player ever
@@FSVR54 honestly I’ll trust him right now
Y’all realize they have defined “clutch” and have a metric for it. LeBron is the most clutch, but people take feelings over facts when it comes to LeBron. Check the numbers…🤷🏾♂️
You realize how idiotic that is? Every situation is different. The one situation with the least amount of variables is fts and Lebron is poor in that area.
Ur the one taking it to heart. I don't think there's a clear-cut answer, Kareem MJ Bird and LeBron were all great clutch players. One metric shudnt justify such a broad category like. "most clutch"
Damian Lillard belongs in this conversation. Not saying he’s 1st but he’s a nominee
U have to do it in the playoffs where it actually matters
@@abdul-raheem1583 and he does that always
@@abdul-raheem1583 2 series winning buzzer beaters
@@davidrieder3850and more times than that he’s folded in the playoffs
It’s between Jordan and Bird imo.
It’s not sadly
My sleeper pick is Joe Johnson the clutchest man I’ve ever seen with a basketball
I want Andre Igua…dola
You CANNOT actually consider Lebron as one of the most clutch players
Jj just gave you the facts mate 😂
Yeah lets just ignore the facts and listen to swag lord
@@maxxdank facts are he's lost 6 finals 🤷♂️
@@swaglord1522 lebron does anything better than the rest
Haters : lol finals goes brr
Bron, Kobe, MJ. You all know it. Let this debate go lol
No that’s just the 3 guys most hyped. MJ and Kobe are clutch. Bird is more clutch. I’ll take melo kd and maybe even Tmac or west over Lebron in the clutch. Even wade is more clutch than Lebron. So is Magic.
Vc , dame and Bron
It’s him…. Austin Reeves
I have to put in Ray Allen. The dude shot over 60% on threes in play off games on shots to tie or take the lead
KOBE: regular season, playoffs, NBA Finals, and Olympics (see Redeem Team) MJ skills and clutch gene plus a better three point percentage. Nobody got hotter than Kobe, when he was on he was ON 🔥
Still take Bird over him 🤷🏼♂️
Wait a minute. Finkel is Einhorn, Einhorn is finkel.
This dude Mad dogs is the friend you have that always like to brag but always fail to amaze you.
😂😂😂
Why I’m not surprised 😂😂😂😂
JJ bring in straight unbiased 📠
Tough call but I can say I don't have LeBron in the discussion honestly. It's between MJ, Kobe, Bird etc
The NBA defining clutch time as the last FIVE minutes is strange to me. Has to be last 2 minutes
Of course Stephen A lied about Kobe’s averages being better than LeBrons lol.
The lone buzzer bearer off your career 😂😂 1:51
😂😂😂😂
2:43 LMFAO anyone else notice Stephan A. get physically pissed off at Molly for reminding him he has 90 seconds left lmfao
We have so many different interpretations of clutch. It should be the last minute of the 4th quarter and overtime. This includes passes, shots, and even defense.
How does anybody leave Bird off this list?
Because they didn't watch him
It’s tough call because there are plenty of ways any of these were most clutch but I’m going with Micheal Jordan. He did his thing but what made him so lethal was his mission was only to beat the opposing team but he wanted make sure he would embarrass them and demoralize them on a level that no player ever did. Also it depends who you grew up watching. There are people who saw growing up Kareem, same with Kobe , LeBron , bird but i grew up watching MJ dominate so I’m going with Jordan
Molly talking about she Remembers that Shot
Stop It!!😂
The lone Buzzer beater of your career
Congratulations on that
THANK YOU JJ 🙏🏾🕺🏾
Mad Dog’s argument for Kareem being clutch is his past accomplishments since 8th grade 💀 no stats to back it up
Can't leave out Big Shot Bob💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Shout Out Robert Horry..
They focusing about totals shots made. what about % of those shots. What about if your game goes up or down in elimination games, or moments?
MJ and Kobe are a given. You can make the argument for LeBron and Bird tho
I mean how if stats and percentages are there? you guys can't just accept facts over feelings lmao
Bird
Mj
And
Robert Horry comes to mind
I mean, JJ admits those stats only track back to '97 so only the last few years of MJ's career counts, none for Bird, or Kareem. NGL I've only seen Kareem's games on RUclips but as a Mavs fan I've seen Dirk in plenty of clutch situations and to bolster Kareem's argument I gotta tell ya, it helps a lot when you have a shot nobody can do s#!t about lol
The lone buzzer beater of your career😂😂
Stephen a smith “oh my gawd”😭 that got me 😭
Jordan, Kobe, Bird, West all have a great case- Lebron and Magic must also be mentioned
How Lebron isn’t too 3 clutch player is beyond me
Too many clutch losses on his watch
Not Hank Finkel 😂
Hank Finkle😂😂😂😂
Let's not forget about the Slim Reaper
I guess we not using the numbers
JJ always killing wits stats, ain't no pushing back after that
It's almost like ESPN are running out of things to talk about.. we can go back decades or weeks.. So redundant
THE FACT THEY DIDNT MENTION DAME IS INSANE TO ME
It's no way you can tell me Stephen A would rather work with MadDog but not Max...
Lol but mad dog is an idiot. SA didn't like when Max would be beating him up sometimes
Feels like Mad Dog is basically there to make Stephen A look better by comparison. I’m sure Stephen A likes prefers this dynamic, even if he prefers Max on a personal level
Max has made dumber takes than Mad Dog. Remember when he said he would take Igoudala over Curry for the last shot?
@Mike.Cdn7 😂😂 yea im convinced you are MadDogs burner account. MadDog also said he'd take Larry Bird over Lebron James
LB is like 30% fg percentage when the game is on the line compared to 50% MJ
Why don't people use the sky hook shot today?
Again more longevity numbers from JJ. A number of factors should be considered when determining most clutch. One of those imo is the ability to seal the deal when the game hangs in the balance. When their isn’t much separation between your team and the other team. Lebron and Kobe have dropped the ball in some of these big moments. They have come up less than what you’d think. Mj delivers in these moments more than they do. He’s more clutch than them.
Why TF is Mad Dog allowed on this show. He argues the most outrageous things. SAS is crazy, but this guy is incomprehensible.
Stephen A, Mad Dog talk without data. Arguments based on assumptions
Let the numbers talk. Stop the 🧢
Robert Horry.
Hank Feinkel😂
Let the layoffs begin!!
LaKers always entertain

It’s mike n there’s really no debating it.
JJ always cooks SAS, LOVE IT!
Hank finkle?! 😂😂
8 Buzzer Beaters, 27 GAME WINNING SHOTS, 3 GAME WINNING FTs it's Kobe Bryant
MJ, Kobe, LeBron. No particular order.
Bird is around that.

Dame time is in that conversation!!
Horry, Kerr and JJ. as in Joe Johnson.
