And now, LeBron admitted on a podcast that the comment quote 'kind of hurt me a little bit.' LeBron also added that during his run with Kyrie in Cleveland, his main goal was to see Irving win MVP, and even though they won a title, he and Kyrie quote 'could never align.' It doesn’t fit either way, because Stephen A or Shannon actually respect Skip. The real question is why would someone as skilled as Kyrie Irving make his comment? Could there be truth to it? I remember all of Lebron’s layups and drives early in his career that count as “clutch shots”. Props to him for getting to the rim but players like Kyrie and KD respect skill more than athletic ability. Lebron can’t create/make jump shots in the midrange, which is a huge liability in clutch moments.

He really isn’t to be honest. Players perspectives are completely different than people in the media (or former players working in the media). I know former NBA players and they respect Lebron, but they don’t admire him like people in the media do. Lebron is a freak and gets to the basket better than anyone. Most of his “clutch” shots are layups and drives, especially early in his career. He’s limited when he comes to creating and making jump shots off the dribble. Plus he ran from those late shots earlier in his career. Players know.
