5 channels means 5 concurrent calls possible. You can have as many phones as you want because your provider doesn't know that, but only 5 calls going at once.
+Louis Rossmann Great new videos, some things I didn't think about.. a quick question if you bought a custom number how do you prove you own that number if the current VoIP company that you bought it from goes out of business. If you build a business with that number and then loose it could cost you a ton of money so how do you ensure you keep the number you paid for no matter what happens to the company? You can port the number away. VoicePulse, or any other reputable VoIp company will provide you will either a bill or a CSR (Customer Service Report) That will show your number, your name etc for proof of ownership to port your number away. This works the same if you have your service with Verizon etc as well. They will provide you with a bill or a CSR for the same purpose. VoIP companies also have to play by FCC rules.
Tell them you have a home business and get a T-1, If possible split bill with naighbor. if not it's not to much more than a residential account but you wont have speed delays or Interruptions.
Louis, If I have everything setup and get a automated message saying I need to add valid payment method but have already done so, should I just give it time? I have verified the payment method using the small deposits. Its been maybe about 20 minutes since I got everything setup. No busy signal!
If you get the automated message, then you have not "switched to production". Click on Gateways, then edit and hit the box that says "Convert to production".
Are you still using Voicepulse? If so, would I still follow this tutorial for setup or has some things changed? I cannot even tell if they are still in business and if they are, their site is not secured so I got a safety warning when I tried to go to the site. If you're not still using them, who are you using? I' looking at setting up my own system and your instructions are pretty easy to follow. Thank you so much.
Louis Rossmann sure, it could vary but ultimately a stable connection at even 1/10 of that speed would download websites etc. in just a moment. I have had issues with cable before where packet loss was the problem, and it was ultimately remedied by having them come out and redo the connection of the cable on the street to our place. if you wanna open a command prompt and type ping google.com -t or any other website, it should sit there sending and confirming packets until you hit ctrl-c or close it. if any lines say anything but success, your isp should be able to remedy it when you explain you have tested and have packet loss. if not.. i can only assume time warner is overselling/overloading their own networks which you can't do anything about sadly

are you familiar with testing for packet loss mate? im trying to understand how your internet sucks so bad when it speedtests ok..
