I installed these exactly as this video shows. They look great, buy I’ve experienced one problem. When I installed the wire that taps into the fuse panel, my blower motor for the AC and heater stops working, or works sporadically and the halo lights blink. I have yo unplug the fuse tap supplied with the lights and replace it with the standard fuse, then my blower motor works correctly, but the halos aren’t as bright and won’t work as daytime running lights, unless I turn on the parking lights, but there not as bright. What do you suggest I do? Do I need a new fuse tap wire or is there another spot this tap can be plugged into?
I have not heard of this specifically. The fuse tap shouldn't modify any existing functions. The installation manual says that should be the power mirror fuse, but when i look online, it does look like its a blower motor fuse. I would suggest using an alternate fuse. Fuse #49 looks like it would work.
It’d be awesome to see some headlight options and tests for the 2000-2004 F-250. The stock headlights royally suck, and I’m trying to determine what upgrade to make.
If you have the newer version with the Amber daylight running lights, you leave the plug plugged in to get that turn signal. If you unplug it, it will be a standard turn signal.
Hey Chris, what are your thoughts on purchasing these headlights versus adding better bulbs(LED, HID, etc.) to the stock halogen headlights, or even purchasing different aftermarket headlights with projectors and adding better bulbs to those?
Hey Kyle, I know it's a little bit of a late reply but we just got done shooting a vehicle specific video on this exact truck today, Testing several different LED headlight bulbs. I personally would do the Morimoto XB Headlights for the look and the sharp cutoff line, Even the best LED bulbs we tested had a little glare above the hotspot. I haven't had the best luck running HID or LED kits in headlights with aftermarket projector headlights, They just don't seem to hold up as well. Got mine this week. Opened the box and the instructions say got to Morimotohid.com to get the most recent installation instructions. Went to the website and the headlights for 2011-16 Ford Super Duty weren't even listed. So went to this video. I installed as per the video. First, the DRL was BARELY long enough to get to both headlights and one had to be plugged in blindly. Second, once everything was installed, the "C" light on the driver's side would not cut off even when the truck ignition was cut off. Third, the headlights would not dim. So I unplugged the DRL harness from the fuse slot shown on the video and plugged it into slot 35 used by another commenter. Same results. SO, I had to disassemble everything and reinstall my original headlights. My $1200 headlights are now boxed up in the back of my truck.
Ok. I feel kind of foolish admitting this but here goes: I plugged the fuse into the wrong port. Once I corrected this, they worked fine. All functions worked perfectly. SO... it was user error. I apologize. Also the Morimoto website has instructions for these headlights on their site now. My apologies to Morimoto and HR. By the way, installation is a snap, especially after you do it 3 times.

So these lights keep high and low beams on at the same time? Factory lights don't do that, are the low beams powered by the high beam circuit? What's the draw for three sets of projectors?
Gifters the draw is much lower than stock because they’re all LED’s. As far as low/high beams go. Yes they both stay on. Bi-xenon projectors just have a little “thing” that flips up when you turn on the high beams allowing more light to project upward rather than staying under the cut off line.

Question, I just bought a 2016 F250 Lariat that came with the headlights as DRL (Canada), how can I wire them? I do not want the headlamps on as my DRL.
You'll need to disable your DRL, which you should be able to do within the settings on your truck, and then run the fuse tap for the DRL on the XB headlights.
Lenses are clear, but the internals are smoked, so it does look like the headlights itself is smoked. Nothing in the works for a chrome version as of right now.
There is a lot of R&D that goes into these housings to make them perform better than OEM and have a 5-year warranty. They work for some and others they do not.

I love the light output on these, but I have to say I am terribly disappointed in how fast the lenses have degraded into a horrible looking yellow color. Less than three years old and already look like complete trash.
You will most likely need to disable the factory DRL, then use the fuse tap with those headlights! That will allow for your vehicle to use the DRL strip on those headlights!
