Im here for jerry ball.. happy birthday.. beaumont tx native and a hell of a defensive linemen..he used to come talk to us on our family vacations.. great human
Man pontiac silverdome was poppin. Those were my best childhood memories my Dad would carry me and my two brothers on the field after home games to hangout with the players and run around. #51 Niko Noga
Wayne Fontes had a special team back in the late 80's into the mid 90's it's to bad we never reach the super bowl only thing we can do is cherish the moment of that time .
Raymond Berry at 4:45! He was once the head coach for the Patriots when the Bears creamed them 46-10 in the Super Bowl. And now in this he's on the Lions' staff.
Richard Johnson..the little slow footed IBM computer guy..had 1000 yards in 89...after being Jim Kellys go to guy in The USFL..but he Was a Rb ..not a WR.. The Lions made him a WR..he could catch shorts throws and make the first guy miss..and had a good year...
Receiving Corp: Aubrey Matthews, Mike Farr, Jeff Campbell, Terry Greer. 8:03. Wow. 4 receivers who would make almost no impact after 1990. In fact, each of their careers would vaporize as newcomers like Brett Perriman and Herman Moore would take over.
Thanks so much for uploading this, Dan. I greatly appreciate it. If you have any other video yearbooks from 1992-1998, I would very much appreciate it if you could upload them as well.
Robert Clark..oh man..I remember when The Dolphins got him on Plan B..he didn't pan out..he was also slow footed..but got cut cause he started dropping the ball in practice..and when a WR..did that with Dan..that was all she wrote.
I think the current Detroit Lions need to build there defense to what it use to be back in the early 90s. 90s Lions teams had pro-bowlers all over the field now we lucky to have 1in Hockinson.

I'm 28 watching this in 2021 after watching multiple rebuilds no wins in sight idk why in here but maybe it's for hope for the future

Matthews stuck around til 1996; he had a career year in '94. The rest just faded away, especially once the Lions moved away from the Run-n-Shoot.

Barry ended up being better than those other running backs mentioned
LOVE the mobile quarterback days we had
wayne fontes is still the best lions coach since the 1950's..
absolutely, he had the best coaching staff too.
The best lions team I've seen in my life time..... 🤔 I can not ignore what the lions are doing in 2023... y
17:44 Joe Buck's old man sounding far more animated and excited than he ever has.
Jack buck was so prolific he got his no talent a$$clown son a job and made me learn Spanish so I could hit the SAP button when he’s on.
I like those uniforms
2000 years and 13 tds get you as a PB alternate in 1990 haha
Robert Clark..oh man..I remember when The Dolphins got him on Plan B..he didn't pan out..he was also slow footed..but got cut cause he started dropping the ball in practice..and when a WR..did that with Dan..that was all she wrote.
He played his ass off for the Lions in 89 -91

can you do the 92 detriot lions vid
Great offense. Only problem: no defense
I forgot about benny blades and Crockett they were solid so was ball and ellis but he didnt come till later we all know the stars were 54 20
Bob Gagliano was their best QB...
Erik Kramer
Russ Thomas was a rotten GM.
Lion's owner, the Ford family, just wasn't serious. And still isn't.
Not anymore
8.17. But it was Robert Clark who lead the Lions with 53 catches. Lol😅😅😅😅
Barry had 1400 yards in his rookie year..But didn't break any long runs.
He had a 45-yard TD run against Washington.
So Russ Thomas was the Lions gm until he died
Jerry Vanissi never got the credit for building the talent base on this team.
Why can't the current sorry ass lions play like the 1991 lions? or hell the early to mid 90s? Fire Quinn and Fatricia clueless....smh
They finally did. 😊
@@tomfreese5190Indeed they did 😂
Wayne fonts loo like owned a greeek diner
Russ Thomas has to be one of the worst gms if he was there for 40 years and we only won one playoff game
2k yards and 13 touchdowns?
And he went to the pro bowl?
Pathetic

TOUGHER THAN A 50¢ STEAK 😄
