I wish I was at that Playoff win over Dallas. That maybe one of the most exciting games ever played at the Silverdome. I can’t imagine how loud it was!
For one year, the Lions had a defense up the middle to match their impressive offense. Jerry Ball, Chris Spielman, and Bennie Blades were as good at the middle three levels as any team in football.
I only just turned 5 years old before the 91 off-season... and you "BESS" Believe I remember that season on until this season!!! Though I cannot lie Matthew Stafford was my favorite QB out of all we had.. thru the good, the great and the "wtf" passes... he got his super bowl. Love Barry and Calvin and I just know our new young talent will bring us a ship before we die!!!
i was at that Bills game and finally found footage of the Sanders runs that i thought i’d made up in my mind as a kid. just ridiculous. thanks so much for posting this!
Thank you for downloading this video of the #DetroitLions from the 1991 NFL Season I’ve been a fan of the Detroit Lions since 1989. When the season is over, when they don’t make it to the NFL Playoffs, make it to the NFL Playoffs and don’t win, I watch this video as extra motivation before the start of next season, a new season. Plus, I often think of former players from the 1991 Detroit Lions, that included Mike Utley, Eric Andolsek, Michael Cofer. I only wish the Detroit Lion teams from next season and beyond could carry that heart in moving forward as an inspiration.
Dang, you wouldn't think the Lions were the ONLY team that season too be undefeated at home! You would think the two Super Bowl participants that year the Bills or Redskins?
31:10 One aging stadium later and the optimism in this video is depressing. I was in middle school this year, never thought I'd be telling my kids how awesome that 'one' playoff win was.
I hope she'll afford him and the rest of the Lions organization is looking at this video as a way of trying to find their general manager and head coach. It starts with defense baby!
They didn’t all return in 1992. Left guard Eric Andolsek was tragically killed by a runaway truck in front of his home in Louisiana while doing yard work on June 23, 1992.
Came close in 2024 but got routed by a 17 point lead at SF and lost the second half sadly that was the closest to going to the Superbowl I'm a very optimistic that they will be back with a vengeance's this season coming up
Guess who's back in the NFC Championship! Go Lions
That was my sophomore year in high school & that lions team was truly a force...restore the roar 🦁🏈
It's back!!!
The roar is back
We back baby!!!

This should be a Missing Rings episode!
No. The Redskins were unstoppable in 1991. Nobody was beating them in the playoffs.
Not if you get beat by 30 points in a playoff game.
Alex Karras is FINALLY in the Hall of Fame

RIP Eric Andolsek
Poor Lions. They’ve had many mishaps and tragedies.
Why are there 1994 highlights mixed in for the beginning lion hype video?
10:40
last playoff loss the cowboys would have for 3 years
This SADLY is as CLOSE as the Detroit Lions have EVER GOTTEN or will EVER GET TO a Super Bowl. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don’t give up. There will come a day when the Lions will bring a Super Bowl to Detroit.
