    Riley and Wellington representing JAAA shows where the problems lie. They are more interesting in calling people derogatory names than addressing the issues. I have more respect for Mr Francis than JAAA.

      All three represent the JAAA
      Riley and Wellington were just responding to their names being mention by Francis not as officials of the committee and not authorized to name committee members

    for a jaaa representative to come on national tv and disrespect one of our top or best athletic coach in the world, by calling the man an ass, is totally disrespectful, and he shouldn't be on that jaaa selecting committee.

    There is lack of transparency accountability and professionalism with the JAAA and it shows when there are problems they want to blame the coaches and athletes instead of accepting responsibility

    Jamaican not qualifying? Jamaica faces challenges in the quality of leadership for their 4x4 relay team as the next Olympics approach. The lack of strong and visionary leadership is impacting the team's preparation and cohesion, critical elements for success in such a demanding event. Addressing this gap by fostering experienced and inspiring leaders will be essential for improving their prospects and maintaining Jamaica’s esteemed reputation in track and field.

    The big problem is this. Since the JAAA so not support the athletes financially, they always find it hard to pick teams for meets before or after traditional track season .
    In other words you make a team oe make yourself available for selection. Tbe JAAa unlike JFF cannot punish an athlete qho is not available as for major championships apots are earned

    • @runwithyaz
      @runwithyaz 20 дней назад +1

      Yes athletes have to make themselves available, but without transparency how do we know which athletes were and were not available? Why should we just take JAAA’s word for it? We already know what happened with Tyquendo Tracey. He earned his spot and still wasn’t chosen. Instead they choose an athlete affiliated with their camp who never ran faster than Tracey.

    • @winngriff
      @winngriff 20 дней назад

      @@runwithyaz I understand but what I am saying is for teams that are chosen before trials there has to be communication and negotiation. In April people can be injured, behind in training, or maybe not even training. Even if they had transparency. They can claim they invited me which is true. They can claim I said no. What they won't say is I told them I am injured or unfit, so they will control the PR narrative.
      As for Mr Tracey they are wasting their time. He may have hurt feelings but he broke no laws and he violated no rules.
      This is what Mr Francis is talking about, Schoolboy tactics, intimidation.
      Thankfully this is not football. If he runs at trials and does well he makes the tram

    This seems to be a Jamaican problem. The JFF have it also. These organizations should take an attitude of leadership instead of managing the organization. When leading you tend to be more inclusive and open to listen to opinions other than your close colleagues. Jamaican’s management style sucks.

    So Dr. Greg, with all due respect sir, how did you add value to this situation? You titled your video with a promise to shed some light, but all you did was replay a few videos without rendering a credible opinion of your own. (see lionheart8586 comments below). If you continue in this fashion, you will only ruin your credibility. Let me give you a few clues that you can build upon for your next video: It is a foregone conclusion that "everyone who knows and loves Jamaica athletics believes that the JAAA has zero credibility". Ricardo Chambers clearly made that point, repeatedly. David Riley's comments suggest that he does not know that the Jamaican public despises the JAAA, for very good reasons. For him to attack Mr. Francis's character when Mr. Francis (Who is highly regarded worldwide) only pointed out Riley's incompetence, is laughable. Riley's comments about Mr. Francis are more applicable to Mr. Riley himself, and the Jamaican public can easily see through him. The bottom line issue is money and the JAAA's continuous abuse of it. Riley and Wellington are only in it to steal funds belonging to the Jamaican athletes. So Mr. Francis diplomatically called for their removal (to halt their disingenuous conduct against the Jamaican athletes) without actually citing his bottom line reason. Mr. Francis is rightfully upset that he and other coaches work very hard to help the athletes achieve their potential, and the Athletes receive no meaningful financial support among other things, from the JAAA. So the JAAA's operation is counterproductive to the interest of the Jamaican athletes and coaches. The opposite of their intended purpose. With these in mind Dr. Gregg, you can use your platform to advocate for the Jamaican Athletes. It would be reasonable to call out the JAAA, as was done by Ricardo Chambers. If you and others know the truth but continue to dance around the real problem, why would the JAAA change their ways?
