DC local here. Theres 2 main types of mumbo sauce, neither are exactly the same as the sweet and sour sauce you get at McDonalds. Generally theres a darker, smokier version thats reminiscient of bbq sauce and a more flourescent red type thats sweet and spicy. But no two are exactly the same and each Chinese carryout will have a slightly different recipe.
