Yes there is a vast job opportunity here. One of my next videos will be specifically about jobs in the area. What's needed as well as who are the companies currently doing the hiring.
@@AishaBuycks Yes of course. I want to purchase a home, however, it will be my first purchase and I am unsure. What's the best email or way to contact you? I am currently located in Korea so it's a 14 hour time difference.

HI AISHA Came Across your page i con sidering selling home in Ct to Move to Huntsville Madison Etc Im Retired so im not in need of Employment Would like to ger intouch with your office!
I appreciate this video. Can to point me to any information about the culture of the County? I want to know how friendly this city is to LGBT and mixed race families. It's important to me to feel comfortable where ever I move and not place myself where I may not be welcome. I'm happy to move in an area that is more suited for my lifestyle. If Huntsville is this place i would like to know. Thank you for any help you can offer.
It is a conservative culture; however, no one really goes out there way to be disrespectful to people who are LGBT. You might get some looks, though. As far as mixed race families/relationships, it is not too common, but I don't think people will make a big issue out of it. It is about 10 years away from being, for lack of better words, more liberal. Know this, it is classism from all races first and then racism. People will lowkey judge you by where you live. And, if you are black or brown, you have to be the acceptable black or brown to fit in. They don't celebrate black or brown culture that much unless they (mostly whites) are appropriating it. Downtown clubs will not let black or brown people in if they do not fit the "dress code" and bars are not as inviting as they used to be, but it depends on your personality. With all that said, it is not that all people are like this, but this has been my experience. I moved to Texas from there, and the culture is better here when it comes to mixed race family and LGBT relations. Alabama is mostly black and white with blacks being the minority (26 to 29% of the populatuon).
@@peteredwin3446 thank you very much for this reply. We have so much to consider. Huntsville does look like it's a beautiful place to live but I want to be smart. After a bit more research we're going to settle on either Huntsville or Austin. I really appreciate the insight.
@@Nessasito No problem! Texas, to me, pays more and there is no state taxes, but there are a lot of toll roads. The culture is better, too! Austin is the new Silicon Valley, so that is a cool place! Good luck!
Nessa Huntsville is one of the most liberal areas in the state. My broker is apart of the LGBT community. He has been here for years and is a leader in the real estate community. My husband and myself attended his wedding at the Episcopal Church downtown. All of this is to say there is a community here for you just like there is one for me.
@@AishaBuycks thank you very much for the reply. It's very comforting to hear that there are positive experiences for the LGBT community in Huntsville. My concern is for my son who is a teenager and who has recently come out. It's already stressful enough to be a teenager and we understand the world is not always in accepting place. we have to rely on our faith and pray for kindness and patience from other people. It's going to be a culture shock leaving a big city like Milwaukee for a small town like Huntsville but it's where we want to call home. All the information I'm getting from people who live there is very helpful. Thank you very much again.
I've never lived in the Deep South, but I'd like to relocate. It sounds like you are a long time resident, and I wish you would have given a clearer picture of the demographics and racial composition . Is racism in the South still very overt, or has it switched to being more covert microaggressions? These are very important considerations before one invests a quarter of a million dollars, or more in an area. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are NOT the same all over the country, yet they are a major part of quality of life and the true cost of living in a city.
Well as Realtor legally there are things that I can't just talk about along those lines. It can give the impression of steering. However I will address that we don't make up, nor speak for the entire South. Huntsville is a very diverse and transient area. My specific area of expertise is helping the people who want get here, be here. My client portfolio is quite diverse and all persons and their families seem to be flourishing quite well. Are there people who may not appreciate mine, yours, or their presence and/or accomplishments or abilities? certainly. It's every where and worse in other areas. So the way I see it is they can catch all my magic and my clients to whatever their race is. I would literally have any of my clients in my home and vice versa. Most having military backgrounds along with myself and my husband we do not care and live our best lives. No one has ever ran up in my face or threatened my safety or my family's safety. So I think we are pretty good. I have lived in 3 cities within this state and survived them all.🤷🏾♀️ Are we exempt? No! Are we a great place to live, work, and enjoy life? Absolutely!
@@AishaBuycks Good to know. Thank you. I know realtors are in a sales position. It your job to highlight- much like used car sales- but we never want to feel like sheep being lead down the wrong path just for the sake of a sale. Thanks for your honesty. I'm excited to move South, and I have to ask very real and important questions before making such a major life change without feeling like I'm wrong for asking. Huntsville is on my list of possibilities and my family has to move with eyes wide open. Peace.
@@b1beautysupply no we are not in the same position. I am here to navigate my clients through one of the largest investments of their lives. I sale nothing, simple because I don't believe in that method of handling my clients first. Secondly, this a home. Unlike cars you can't just be done with and move on. Thirdly I listen to my clients needs and wants. As long as, their expectations are realistic I find it. Real Estate is far more complex than car sales.

It's based on what type of lifestyle you want to have. Are you purchasing or renting. It is still cheaper to purchase versus rent.
