      @@leeshoots838 Great 😎
Seems like not very many people our age have an interest in carrying or even know about the FPC vs McCraw lawsuit.
I started carrying in winter early last year as soon as the lawsuit wrapped up, and at first I was planning to eventually get an LTC but decided not to.
It certainly offers some good perks though.
The only 46.03 places I’ve come across are hospitals, some Dr offices affiliated with hospitals, my grandmas memory care facility, and the worst ones are the random restaurants that are 51% locations.
      I don’t pay much attention to the 30.05, 30.06 signs 😉.
The other thing that threw me off at first was federal school zone laws. That’s the main reason I almost got a permit.
My church is Nextdoor to a school, and I thought it was against federal law to carry at church since it was within 1,000 ft of a school, but that only applies to public property such as a sidewalk and street.
With an LTC I could go on sidewalks, streets, and school property as long as you don’t go inside.
State law only restricts armed folks from coming onto school property without a permit, and of course no armed citizens are allowed inside the building.

Knighthood. - As far back as our oldest traditions reach there existed in Ireland an institution of knight-hood. The Red Branch Knights have already been mentioned: and it appears that admission to their ranks was attended with much formality. It was usual to knight boys at an early age, commonly at seven years. This was the age, according to the statement of Tigernach - and also of the Tales - at which the young hero Cuculainn was admitted: and his example as to age was often followed in subsequent times. The young candidate was given a number of little spears suitable to his age and strength, which he hurled against a shield; and the more spears he broke the more credit he received. These are the native Irish accounts; and they are strikingly corroborated by Froissart, who tells us that the same custom still existed in Ireland when King Richard II visited this country in 1494.This historian moreover states that the custom of knighting boys at seven, with ceremonies like those of the Irish, also existed among the Anglo-Saxon kings. But in Ireland the rule of the seven years was not universally, or even generally, followed - except perhaps in case of the sons of kings or great nobles. The ceremony was commonly put off till the candidate was able to fight.
The usual Irish words for a knight are curad [curra] and ridire [riddera], of which the last is the same as the German ritter, and is probably borrowed.
"Assuming knighthood" is commonly expressed in Irish by "taking valour."

Personally I feel you should be able to own longguns at 16 and handguns at 18. I remember when I was 18 y/o serving as a Grunt in the military, I was barred from owning a handgun which is ridiculous.
The only thing I am on the fence about is the GenZ and newer population seem to have a lot of mental health issues and while this shouldn’t prevent law abiding citizens from their 2a rights, we do need to get a handle on this issue. But GUN BANs are not the issue, nor will it ever prevent gun related violence!

❤ I grew up in the 60's and had my first BB gun at age 5 and dad also was teaching me gun safety. I started shooting a 22 rifle at age 5 . Dad had one that was shorter stock that he let me use while he was teaching.
I had to hunt rabbits, squirrels, deer, with him from age 5 until 9 years old. After that I was left to hunt on my own.
I have carried a supermadic citation on my side since I was 9 and still have it.
Go fishing and hunting to feed our families.
Had large garden too. We only go to the store for lard , flour, loaf bread, bacon, milk , real butter , coffee etc.
Large loaves of bread were 10 cents and I remember my grandmother told me that bread would be more than a dollar for a loaf one day. I thought she was nuts lol. Now I am paying $1.50 a loaf.
So times change. Like this type of 18-20 year old buying and carrying firearms.
I think nowadays children are not raised the way I was and they do not know what being a adult is. I think that's why people are against 18-20 walking around with firearms.
I know a lot of 18 year old that have a good head on their shoulders and would have no problem with them carrying but I have been around many that I definitely would not feel safe around with a firearm.

I am perfectly fine with them having guns. I've had a gun in my truck since i was 16 driving to and from school with it in the back window. I say go for it. Our nations history actually doesn't give an age limit, our government started that to control us.

If the government can ask an 18 year old to give up their life for their country, then they have the right to do anything including carrying arms, (unfortunately including cigs and alcohol) that adults can do. It must be a hard line, are they an adult or not, once the giving up your life part is invoked. ❤️👍🇺🇲 FAP

I was hoping that you migjt cover the senate bill in the TN state senate that it trying to get rid of the criminal penalty for anyone who has an enhanced permit from carrying in a place that has a no gun sign other than trespassing if the refuse to leave when asked.

I'm glad to heár this. I'm in texas, a constitutional carry state. I have a daughter who's 20 now and will be 21 this September. I've wished she could carry as soon as she turned 18 but she has had to go unarmed all this time. It's ridiculous 18 to 20 year olds can vote, etc but can't carry a hand gun, buy alcohol or tobacco in texas. These prohibitions are clear constitutional violations, they are adults legally at 18 but very few would have the means or the inclination to take this to court. In the mid 80s I was cought up in the drinking age being raised to first 19 and later 21. I turned 18 and they changed it to 19 that September, then I turned 19 and a few months later it went to 21. I never considered suing the state and didn't have the resources anyway, just resorted to methods we used before I turned 18. As for starring a gun prior to constitutional carry Texas has the castle doctrine which also said your car or truck was an extension of your home which allowed you to carry in your vehicle. I didn't want a permit because I didn't to be on a "list" for the feds. Same reason I don't buy anything firearms related online or with a card.

Jerrad, I’m going to through you a curve. I am a Vietnam ERA Vet. I spent 5 years in the Marine Corp. When I enlisted, I was just out of the tenth grade, I got my G.E.D. while in the Corp. I do strongly believe that 18- to 20-year-olds have the right to exercise their 2nd amendment rights. Especially if they have served their country in the military. Ready for the curve? I feel that 17-year-olds should be allowed to exercise their 2nd amendment rights as well. You see the U.S. was in the process of drawing out of Vietnam in 1972 when I enlisted into the Marine Corp at the age of 17. At the time all branches required all candidates for enlistment to be 18 and high school graduates, except the Marine Corp. All they required at the time was having reached the age of 17 and both parents’ consent. So, say a 17-year-old enlists makes it through boot camp and then shortly after is discharged through no fault of his own before his 18th birthday he should be able to exercise his 2nd amendment rights too. Should all 17-year-olds be allowed to exercise their 2nd amendment rights as well? Should certain standards or tests be set before 17-year-olds can be allowed to exercise their 2nd amendment rights? That is a topic for another time. At the very least if they have proven military service, then I say yes.

That's good news. I hope Washington is a state where they took this on, too. We have very similar laws here as well. 18 thru 20 y/o cannot buy a handgun, although I believe they can possess one. And, we are an open-carry state. But it is unlawful to have a loaded gun, or any gun in a motor vehicle passenger compartment if ammunition for the weapon is also easily accessible in that compartment.
So, ya gotta go to where you want to exercise your Right to open-carry, take the ammo from the passenger area to the trunk where your weapon is, load it, and then commence to open-carry without getting back in the vehicle. Fricken insane...

One of the ridiculous rules on open carrying in Pennsylvania is that the City of Philadelphia violates Pennsylvania preemption laws. In Philadelphia, in order to open carry a firearm in public the person must have a concealed carry permit. How much sense does that make? For some reason nobody has complained about this violation of preemption laws and nothing has ever been done about it.

Awesome ruling. Love the judge's no nonsense ruling. Absolutely 18-21 yo should not have any restriction as compared to any other adult. That's not just 2A, but should apply to things like alcohol, and tobacco as well.
Either they are an adult or they are not and ingress against their rights, is just a precursor, testing/probing how tolerant people will be about having said rights stripped.
