    Also, it is amazing how the music critics are so often wrong. Love this album.

      Thank you! The critics really did get that so wrong didn't they? I remember hearing a few of the 'What's The Story' songs on the radio before the release and couldn't wait to buy it.

    Your song at the end sounds like a beautifully mixed and mastered Oasis-esk song on its own.

    Another banger, brother! I quite enjoyed your approximation of the limiting trick by way of that great sounding shoe-gaze/dreampop-ish ditty, as well. Cheers!

      Cheers! That limiter can get really aggressive and not so ‘soft’when pushed a bit, I wonder how it compares to the hardware.

      @mixingmasteringonline  4 месяца назад +1

      With a limiter, you're raising the quieter parts up so the average level is louder.

    Great job with the recording and use of the limiting "trick." I get why so many wngineers used - and still use - it but it really is fair to say that it just really kills all the dynamics and can fatigue your ears as a listener.

    • @mixingmasteringonline
      @mixingmasteringonline  4 месяца назад

      Thank you! I’m not a massive fan of over limiting but I can see why it’s used. I couldn’t imagine Definitely Maybe without it.

    “ knackered” is never a term I would imagine being used for oasis. More like “shitfaced”. But in a good way usually.
