Hu Ge & Liu Yifei won Weibo King & Queen! It’s amazing to see them both on stage with awards. True Icons! Hue Ge’s message was so touching. He thanked his wife, daughter and Liu Yifei as his co star in Chinese Paladin.

Yes... Weibo night is big...ngl....the fans came out in all their fandom colours to support to the point where Weibo took down the live streaming on multiple platforms saying if the fans dont leave the outside venue, the award or red carpet won't continue until they leave....lol.....Weibo acting like they are the victim when they encoraged this from day one without proper beforehand organization to deal with the immense gathering and crowd of fans...lol
Weibo also truely deserves the most outstanding best actor at their own award...lol...l mean they have multiple different names for the same award category....lol....Im not taking this serious really , its actualy quite fun to see and for entertainment...Ngl though the fans went all out with their banners and flags to support their celebs. The mixed colours made it seemed like a Festival.... Hopefully it didnt get too bad in the end where the studios of various idols had to tell them to evacuate the venue. Various fandoms are slaughtering each other even on Twitter.....😂😂😂....I have those whom I support but im not intereted to enter their fights....I'll just watch them from the sidelines eating breakfast and laughing...lol
To this day I still can't understand fandom wars....IMO support who you like, Who one doesn't like just avoid and no need to belittle each other just because idology, preferences, opinion differs...ohh well I guess thats just my wishful thinking seeing that these things are actually encoraged by even Weibo....
I am sorry to tell you but these fandoms all of them are controlled by the most powerful mafia Entertainment moguls like Hunan TV for example, and their own breed protégées. If any other artist comes in their way as too successful, they will crush this artist, can be Xiao Zhan, Chris Wu, or many others. Weibo is an evil manipulated platform. I am not to happy, that XZ attended. He did not look too happy about the plain, sterile circus.

My dream pairing is Liang Jie and Zhang Binbin in a palace or wuxia drama. Both low-key, humble capable actors who cooperates well with anyone they work with then stay low-key when not promotinh drama. No ridiculous publicity.

Just came here after seeing what happen in WB Night.. Well, I think some actors didn't attend can be a blessings. I mean, just to avoid their own fans accidentally included in the inevitable fan wars ugh..
I really need more high quality production period dramas. Something like Nirvana in fire or Joy of life. Or even Xianxia, like ten miles of peach blossom would suffice.

Romance of Twin Flower is quite fun to watch. So far so good.
I have seen just a few films with Hu Yi Tian and I can't give an overall opinion. Imho in some of the dramas I've seen (Go Go Squid, My Roommate is a Detective and Checkmate) his performance was exceptional, he was so subtle and so into the role at the same time. Being so restrained and subtle and revealing so much about his character every moment he was on screen seems a different kind of acting from anybody else I've seen.
Subtle is a great way to describe his acting. I loved his performance in Checkmate.

I am here hoping Winner Is King comes out soon even though am not an avid drama watcher but I cannot wait to see Tan Jian Ci. I will watch Winter Begonia just to watch him again or sit through Under the Skin even when crime dramas stress me out.

Weibo night is overrated. I don't understand their award system. They should rename their awards to "most popular", "biggest fandom" or "highest traffic".

If you don’t want people to gather at the venue you should have said so from the get go. You go out of the way to encourage fan wars then blame the fans and shoo them away after you’ve milked them? Seems like fans are disposable. This Weibo night was the first one I was following and the shenanigans were next level. So much fun and very dramatic. C ent knows how to entertain 😂

The Weibo award winners are some of the biggest jokes I’ve seen this year
I didn't see fandoms competing for tickets on Weibo. Not being a fan of idols/celebs, both the regular and entertainment hot search lists seemed pretty tame. Unless some kind of controversy surfaces later, powers that be should ignore this.
Pledge of allegiance is a detective drama set during ming dynasty and has plenty of fighting (3 characters are good fighters). it is a strange mix of some deaths and some comedy. chinese title seems to mean mountains and rivers cast shadows. Adapts 2 films brotherhood of blades and brotherhood of blades 2. Both of the main actors have been in old detective dramas and they seem to be getting plenty of detective roles. In this drama, 1 guy is an official detective and the other guy seems to be a thief. Drama seems to be about a locked container that the 2 main females are trying to steal.

I have only one complaint about Miles to Go : the tan-skinned makeup.
I understand they aim for the red-neck, rural people look. But it doesn't look naturally tan; it's "too much yellowish-brown foundation" tan. Everyone's skin look one dimensional.
I don't know if the fault lies with the makep artists or the technicians who do film's gradient though.
Lots of time spent on the 'silly' Weibo Night and no reviews/impressions on new dramas mentioned at the start.
I'm sorry to this man, but even a decade later, I still can't take Guo Jingming seriously. The TT series traumatised me for real. He may direct/ produce the most technically perfect, beautiful, amazing drama/ film and get dozens of awards. However in my mind, I'll always think "This guy? Really?" 🤷♀️

Guo Jingming is better suited as a MV or advertisement kind of director because he does know how to make the actor n actresses look good but there is not much depth or substances on his work

No one speaks about the dramas finished a long time ago, and why they are not aired like Immortality, or The longest Promise, and a few others...for Internationals, who like watching Chinese dramas it is disappointing. Infernal affairs is the usual world war 2 spy drama full of veteran actors and actresses from older spy dramas, set in 1944. chinese title seems to mean seamless. In 1944, japan occupied about half of china and both sides were at a stalemate. Also have the civil war between a dictator general and a communist dictator, and both sides supported by various foreign countries. In real life, probably more chinese died in world war 2 than jews due to atrocities by the japanese who did not bother to keep prisoners of war so still plenty of hatred of japanese in asia even in current time. I am from the philippines and 1 uncle died during world war 2 due to lack of doctors.
I don’t think, this Weibo circus has any meaning. Not to me, as l hate the Chinese netizen wars, and the harm they do to more than half of the artists. And Weibo is promoting the fan wars. That’s their biggest income. Despicable. I don’t know, why Xia Zhan atteneded this. 😮

Xiao Zhan needs exposure to maintain his commercial value otherwise his dramas always struggle to air for some reason. Sometimes, I feel he is being sabotaged.

Joy in life, Snow sword stride, DaMing under the microscope, Nirvana in fire 1 & 2.. these are all strong male lead dramas, and really high quality productions. I agree need more these days

@@yang_er These dramas are old, but l agree with you 💯, but Nirvana 2 is not as good as Nirvana on Fire the original one in my regard. There are many other excellent older c-dramas like THE RED CLIFF 1+2, THE TWO PHOENIXES. No one ever mentions the real Chinese history dramas like “We are all Brothers”, or the trilogy “The Warring States” with outstanding performances by the last generation of famous actors and actresses like Chen Kun, Zhao Wei, Zhou Xun, Sun Li, Donnie Yen, Hu Ge, Yang Mi, Feng Shaofeng....there are too many to be mentioned. The new c-dramas are line productions with no interesting scripts, nor good acting, most boring, and stereotype, and the most admired characters by young audiences are the ones with a pretty but unmoved face, expressing nothing, and no actions like in Wulin Heroes, or The blood of the Youth...😢
@@judykraska400 yess I do agree with you, there are so many great older dramas. The romance of the three kingdoms, scarlet heart or even dreams of the red mansion. These are all classics. There's also the legend of condor heroes (liu yifei) version. These days everything is just too dependent on aesthetics and looks, there's not much focus on acting or good storytelling :(
