Becoming a chef is a hard to achieve goal. It is not easy to run a quality restaurant, never mind a restaurant that competes for international ratings. The advertisment business is also extremly competitive and has similar issues like the fashion business. In ALL three industries to become a player on a decision making level is hard for women and men. I would not complain about the heroine being a fashion designer/chef/or having a higher position in advertisment. I would (maybe) complain if the heroine parts are continously hairdresser/waiter/kindergarden teacher. I say maybe, because the world needs good hairdressers/waiters/and kindergarden teachers and these are very honorable professions, too. 🤷🏻♀️ Just saying if fashion designer/chef/advertisment jobs are too "low" what kind of professions should be played in RomComs? Women austronauts/rocket scientists and physics professors? 😉 And yes these women excist 🎊, but they are probably not easy to put into the classic RomCom script to be fair.
I love this kid. He is not an annoying kid actor. Some kid actors can destroy a drama for me. The hair color and curls were just weird. I like to binge, but for some reason, I decided to watch as it came out. It could have been shortened. Some stuff could have been cut out of the drama. I really enjoyed it.
The drama seems like it has come straight out of the wattpad realm, and some parts of it were sooo unbelievable and stretchy. But the chemistry and good acting made it such a light hearted and enjoyable watch!
Totally agree! They just skipped some problematic parts, not even mentioning of the logistics problem in the process 🤪 like who was taking care of this child, because it looks as if he was sitting home alone when she was at work 🤷♀️
I liked this drama and one of my favorite lines is when FL is changing and freaks out and ML says something along the lines of "It's not like I haven't seen it already" 😂
I love the young actor, Cui Yi Xin who plays QuanQuan. He is really smart and adorable! The rapport between Wang Zi Qi, Wang Yuwen and Cui Yi Xin is so impressive. They created such an endearing family. I didn’t mind that the characters are kind of “storybook” characters-Xin Qi and Min Hui are both young heroes you can cheer for, there is comic relief in the other couples and Cheng Qirang is a storybook villain. Life just called for some fun story time for me this summer. Wang Zi Qi and Wang Yuwen first got my attention in the first Chinese drama I saw (just discovered C-dramas this summer), Novoland Castle In The Sky 2. It’s been fun to enter into Chinese dramas watching various shows of these actors. And of course discovering Jeremy Tsui, and through list of his work, discovering Bai Yu. This year has been difficult for certain reasons and I am happy to have come across their shows. They are very talented. It’s been great to laugh, smile, cheer, cry… bravo to all of them and their colleagues who make the shows what we get to see.
A very enjoyable drama but would definitely help if it cut down to 24 episodes. The chemistry between the two leads and the kid is really good. It’s not a very realistic drama but it’s definitely a quite good pulp fiction.
You’re absolutely correct that casting this child actor is the bestest decision this drama has. I truly enjoyed this drama double times because of this child addition and this child actor in particular. I appreciate how the director placed a good emphasis choice on this casting. I enjoy this drama so much. I’m never tired watching it the second time now
I enjoyed watching this drama. This Wang-Wang cp is so enjoyable to look at along with the kid... I liked that they put the flashbacks in the end, because there are no new characters in the drama, who need to know the backstory afresh... ML, FL, her friend, his family, the doctor etc., everyone knows what happened in the past when the story begins. So its better to keep those scenes separate from the main chronology. I felt bad for the kid sometimes.. when both parents are working, he was tossed around from one person to another. Poor kid!!
I enjoyed this drama a lot… even more than Once We Get Married. The kid was so cute and very natural. It is not realistic, but I like it as lighthearted romcom. There’s a few moments with supporting couples that I feel a bit annoying and I had to skip. But overall i love it.
When I watch any comedy drama, I want to be taken out of the reality in my life , so I don't want to watch something that will depress me or make me think of all the reality that there lives could have ,for me this drama is perfect for that,I don't think it's to long and I quite like the five year look back, the other two couples were very entertaining and I looked forward to seeing them as well , I can honestly say I though the child was a relative of the male lead he looked to like him, so for me it was highly entertaining and recommended to be watched not looking for the reality in every episode xx

I've finished watching this drama and i really like it for being a light-hearted one. the cp's acting us so good. the details in their facial expressions. and the kid, i agree that his acting is so natural. he is too cute 🥰
I love this drama a lot more than their previous one. This drama is more interesting and the story is better. Although it's not prefect, I enjoyed it 100% and that's what made me love it. While there are good dramas out there, they are not as enjoyable as this one. Sometimes, you just want to relax, you get tired from everyday trouble, and just want to watch something light, sweet and charming with undeniable chemistry - this drama was just that. Absolute perfection in those aspects.
For me this is the best romcom CP that I've ever seen this year so far. Even if there are some scenes that is not realistic, but still this CP is the best for me. Because, what I liked the most is the ML & FL lead have awesome chemistry like they act natural like a real couple. Adding the child actor who act as their son. He is brilliant when it comes to his acting skills. And resemblance of ML & the kid, it looks like a real father & son. Like what you said, they look like a real family. Even if they walk to the street and other people they don't know that they are not related in blood for real. They can think that that kid is their real son. And also I agree with your thoughts about adding the two other coupling. But what I liked the most is the ML & FL with the smart & cute kid who portray their characters well.
I actually liked the clips in the beginning episodes, I thought it fleshed out some of the confusion I had. The kid is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!! Can definitely agree that they were detached from reality in terms of how people 'work' but man the creepy guy in her office needed to be PUNCHED!
I enjoyed this drama enough to watch over half the episodes which is a record for me! Haha The son did an excellent job and the lead characters had great chemistry.
OH MY GOD IM SO OBSESSED! The trio family are actually perfectly casted I’m still in shock. The mc have like INCREDIBLE chemistry it feels sooooo real. The kid is really the life of show. I’m a fan of all of them now.
The reality of this drama is that it IS a floater, as you call it... It's the drama you watch to get over another drama that you really loved but didn't get the ending you wanted.... Definitely written as the story of a misunderstanding between people who never really stopped loving each other....

in the first ep you can definitely tell they are still inlove with each other... how she looks at him,how he protected her... no one would do that if they are truly mad with each other..
I watched this drama day to day as it came out. Very enjoyable and the reunion of both of this actors so much fun and the boy so adorable and so cute !! and very enjoyable to watch him acts. Wang Yuwen is just pretty , you can’t fault her for being pretty A.X 😂
And I think like bonus quirk the boy that played the male lead as a child is the real life elder brother of the one that play their kid. Once again Avenue you said exactly what I was thinking. I would also add that while he was invasive she also came on a tad too overprotective, she really didn’t want him involve in her son life, which kind of feed through his behaviors kinda of being justified.

I have been watching this drama already and I love that the female lead has such an interesting career but it is also a suitable one for her and her life style of having to be in the hospital for her son ( aka gives her the freedom to be with her son as he goes through the painful process of surgery and recovery, rest,more surgery and recovery, rest) when you take that into consideration the kids wacky/messy hair actually makes sense.
Yes, I watched most drama series for pure entertainment and enjoyment, even though sometimes they didn't make too much senses.... lol I enjoyed watching this drama series because of the strong and magnificent on-screen chemistry which the ML & FL created in the past drama series and this one of course. Now with the addition of the adorable child actor whom acted as their young son, I absolutely couldn't resist it. I thought that you're a fan of the ML Wang ZiQi for his charisma too (from your previous comment about him). But then I thought that you're not going to make a video to comment about this drama series but you finally did. You gave it a much lower rating than I would like but then from the general response and number of viewers in the IQIYI International Platform, this drama series was actually much more popular than their last series Once We Get Married. That's good enough for me because it showed that at least they're loved and well received by their fans. Just love them and the child actor. The little boy is so cute! It's worth watching just for the family (actors + actress) chemistry together. They all blend so well together esp the chemistry of the father and son. They have some of the cutest moments in all of C-dramaland.

Yea my thing was definitely the length I could not power through the last four episodes or so but I did really really like this drama.And the little boy is so cute he made it fun. Also the main couple's chemistry pulled me in for sure.

I really like these actors-they have a great vibe and are quite talented comedically. I hope in the future they can get better scripts than this sort of typical, second-rate, old-fashioned Harlequin-romance style comedy-drama. I fast forwarded through a good bit of it.
Haha, I was like how is she single mother, age 25-29, having amazing career and living in such beautiful apartment 😅 but sometimes it's ok to just enjoy the ride and the romantic fluff of two good looking people with super adorable kid falling in love again. And yes them playing couple again really showed on screen with how natural they were in every type of scene from lovey dovey to bickering to serious.
whenever someone talks about supporting role couples, Romance of the Little Forest comes to mind. I immediately want to wash them out of my brain but they killed too many of my brain cells for the anger to die down

This kind of light rom-com is good to watch when you visit your old mum or grandma, and after a hearty meal, you sneak into her bed to take a nap together emulating a kid in you... With such a sweet thought, I've started to watch it before sleep... I was slowly falling asleep when I was abruptly woken up by the "paternity-revealing" scene: WTF??? One can swallow any nonsense "for the greater good" (such as falling asleep imagining being cuddled by your mum) but who can tolerate totally false medical information, which btw. your old mum may take to be true? I've wanted to scream: of all the crap - true or false - they could have picked, why did the scripwriters have to invent that transfusion cannot be done with the blood of your close relative (who is more likely to have the same blood type, btw.)? I accept the scriptwriters should enjoy all the liberties & litentia poetica they need, but do they really need fake medical infos (and audience may take for true) to develop the story? Why, why, why?
This is a must-see drama!!! We learn how to protect our familes and friend about online crime. We learn about the Law, the job of prosecutor's as well as the police!!! Learn about those dirty office!! This is a great drama to learn anyway!!! Besides the storyline, Dilraba, the main FL did a great job on her role-playing. She is a remarkable actress. Facial expression is fully-fledged. Emotional manifested. Raba is a professional filming artist by her acting skill, not her face value!!! She bring AnNi into our living lives!!! She is a brave and compassionate person. Her determination of her position. Her mind-reading and analysis of each case. She make the criminal confess their wrongdoing and give justice and the innocent is marvelous!!! We will learn from her and give our society a peace of mind to live-with. Watch it yourself. Pay more attention to her reaction. Don't listen to those un-professional voice who fool you just because they don't like Dilraba!!!! Those are haters!! Also part of the online crime who criticism others in the public!!
If they're serious about the AI programmer mom line, as a programmer I can tell you if I have a kid, I'll spend most of my time trying to make/reprogram all the 'baby care' equipment and products at home to do my 'motherly' duties. That would make a nice comedy.
Drama was popular during its time but I found it way too modern cdrama tropey ? As someone called those "white bread chinese dramas". The kid is really good I agree
oh yeah, chinese dramas haver very good kid actors...don't know they make them do it, but their acting is usually fine. was watching 'the legend of bao zheng' and the long suffering child emperor was played so well. do not know if the child actor was a boy or a gorl, but there were intense scenes the child handled very well. IN ' the love you..', the kid is a pleasure to watch...

I did not like the first 15 minutes of this drama (it's just so bad cliche with the typical FL messing up and ML coming to the rescue) and dropped it with the quickness haha I suppose I could give it another try though, since I really have nothing to watch these days. Thanks for the review!
I managed to resist watching and wait till it finished. Just saw the first 2-3 to see if it’s interesting. Sadly I wasn’t as successful with the new drama “Please be my Family”. So Hard to wait! Lol I think it is a more realistic depiction of the single mother than this one. I like the FL. She’s not perfect, she’s a fighter but not aggressive and obnoxious about it. She is not too smart, , not that pretty, not perfect. Given a set of hard circumstances, she makes do and brings up her daughter well. The ML is the typical rich CEO but isn’t perfect, has tough time raising the kid, has to tolerate an annoying woman who likes him bec of business interests, and didn’t sweep the FL off her feet. I think their conflict and dilemma once revealed, will be more serious than this one. Hope you check it out and share your review here.
Totally agree the 2 supporting 'love' interest turned me off on this drama especially the spring december romance. Just doesn't work for me. Like it's all forced.
Ok so the the kid's not related to the ML at all. That is a question I had while watching this drama. I wondered if he wasn't a nephew or a cousin's child or something. It's amazing how much he looks like the ML. He really looks like he could be their real life son. The people who cast this drama did an amazing job 👏. The kid was so adorable and he did a great job in his role.
another great review! skimmed thru the first few eps not knowing i would end up watching it fully. def not an award winning type of drama but overall a very comfortable and entertaining watch!! felt that some parts were too deliberate. loved the angst parts in the first few eps tho.
The annoying second couple thing happened to me in their other drama. I really did not care for the other couple, and ended up skipping their screen time.
I absolutely think the side couples are just fillers and its so annoying. I don’t really mind Zhou Ruji’s plot but gosh I cant stand Cao Mu and Chen Jia Jun they can definitely remove some of their screen time and it wont affect anything fr 😭

The actor who plays Chen Jia Jun here, he has another drama where he was so much better, and I am like omg, how does he manage to come across as so utterly annoying here?!

My standard for C-drama is two gold mine and above of Avenuex. I watched this drama because Avenuex gave two gold mine for their previous drama-Once we get married and of course the undeniable chemistry of Wang Wang couple. The story has a lot of flaws but I still finished the series because of the adorable kid actor.
I loved this drama so much! The kid actor made everything much enjoyable and I think he did a great job. Because of this drama I also recently finished Once We Get Married which I enjoyed a lot as well, if there’s another collab between them I need to check it out for sure, they have such great chemistry on screen ❤

I would also add that while he was invasive she also came on a tad too overprotective, she really didn’t want him involve in her son life, which kind of feed through his behaviors kinda of being justified.
I love your review. I have been watching this drama already and I love that the female lead has such an interesting career but it is also a suitable one for her and her life style of having to be in the hospital for her son ( aka gives her the freedom to be with her son as he goes through the painful process of surgery and recovery, rest,more surgery and recovery, rest) when you take that into consideration the kids wacky/messy hair actually makes sense.
This was the unexpected gem so far for me and that KID ACTOR was the cUTESTT. Definitely agree with all your issues with it, though.

I enjoyed watching this drama series because of the strong and magnificent on-screen chemistry which the ML & FL created in the past drama series and this one of course. Now with the addition of the adorable child actor whom acted as their young son, I absolutely couldn't resist it.
I thought that you're a fan of the ML Wang ZiQi for his charisma too (from your previous comment about him). But then I thought that you're not going to make a video to comment about this drama series but you finally did. You gave it a much lower rating than I would like but then from the general response and number of viewers in the IQIYI International Platform, this drama series was actually much more popular than their last series Once We Get Married. That's good enough for me because it showed that at least they're loved and well received by their fans. Just love them and the child actor. I am happy because I got my entertainment joy through and through...... lol

The little boy is so cute! It's worth watching just for the family (actors + actress) chemistry together. They all blend so well together esp the chemistry of the father and son. They have some of the cutest moments in all of C-dramaland.

Yea my thing was definitely the length I could not power through the last four episodes or so but I did really really like this drama.And the little boy is so cute he made it fun. Also the main couple's chemistry pulled me in for sure.

I really like these actors-they have a great vibe and are quite talented comedically. I hope in the future they can get better scripts than this sort of typical, second-rate, old-fashioned Harlequin-romance style comedy-drama. I fast forwarded through a good bit of it.
Haha, I was like how is she single mother, age 25-29, having amazing career and living in such beautiful apartment 😅 but sometimes it's ok to just enjoy the ride and the romantic fluff of two good looking people with super adorable kid falling in love again. And yes them playing couple again really showed on screen with how natural they were in every type of scene from lovey dovey to bickering to serious.

This kind of light rom-com is good to watch when you visit your old mum or grandma, and after a hearty meal, you sneak into her bed to take a nap together emulating a kid in you... With such a sweet thought, I've started to watch it before sleep... I was slowly falling asleep when I was abruptly woken up by the "paternity-revealing" scene: WTF??? One can swallow any nonsense "for the greater good" (such as falling asleep imagining being cuddled by your mum) but who can tolerate totally false medical information, which btw. your old mum may take to be true? I've wanted to scream: of all the crap - true or false - they could have picked, why did the scripwriters have to invent that transfusion cannot be done with the blood of your close relative (who is more likely to have the same blood type, btw.)? I accept the scriptwriters should enjoy all the liberties & litentia poetica they need, but do they really need fake medical infos (and audience may take for true) to develop the story? Why, why, why?

Besides the storyline, Dilraba, the main FL did a great job on her role-playing. She is a remarkable actress. Facial expression is fully-fledged. Emotional manifested. Raba is a professional filming artist by her acting skill, not her face value!!!
She bring AnNi into our living lives!!! She is a brave and compassionate person. Her determination of her position. Her mind-reading and analysis of each case. If they're serious about the AI programmer mom line, as a programmer I can tell you if I have a kid, I'll spend most of my time trying to make/reprogram all the 'baby care' equipment and products at home to do my 'motherly' duties. That would make a nice comedy.
Drama was popular during its time but I found it way too modern cdrama tropey ? As someone called those "white bread chinese dramas". The kid is really good I agree
oh yeah, chinese dramas haver very good kid actors...don't know they make them do it, but their acting is usually fine. was watching 'the legend of bao zheng' and the long suffering child emperor was played so well. do not know if the child actor was a boy or a gorl, but there were intense scenes the child handled very well. IN ' the love you..', the kid is a pleasure to watch...

I did not like the first 15 minutes of this drama (it's just so bad cliche with the typical FL messing up and ML coming to the rescue) and dropped it with the quickness haha I suppose I could give it another try though, since I really have nothing to watch these days. Thanks for the review!

I think it is a more realistic depiction of the single mother than this one. I like the FL. She’s not perfect, she’s a fighter but not aggressive and obnoxious about it. She is not too smart, , not that pretty, not perfect. Given a set of hard circumstances, she makes do and brings up her daughter well.
The ML is the typical rich CEO but isn’t perfect, has tough time raising the kid, has to tolerate an annoying woman who likes him bec of business interests, and didn’t sweep the FL off her feet.
I think their conflict and dilemma once revealed, will be more serious than this one.

Ok so the the kid's not related to the ML at all. That is a question I had while watching this drama. I wondered if he wasn't a nephew or a cousin's child or something. It's amazing how much he looks like the ML. He really looks like he could be their real life son. The people who cast this drama did an amazing job 👏. The kid was so adorable and he did a great job in his role.

skimmed thru the first few eps not knowing i would end up watching it fully. def not an award winning type of drama but overall a very comfortable and entertaining watch!! felt that some parts were too deliberate. loved the angst parts in the first few eps tho.

The annoying second couple thing happened to me in their other drama. I really did not care for the other couple, and ended up skipping their screen time.

I absolutely think the side couples are just fillers and its so annoying. I don’t really mind Zhou Ruji’s plot but gosh I cant stand Cao Mu and Chen Jia Jun they can definitely remove some of their screen time and it wont affect anything fr 😭
I totally agree with you!! The two side couples annoyed me soooo much (yes, esp. Cao Mu and Chen Jia Jun ugh!!!) I just basically skipped all their parts whenever they came on. The actor who plays Chen Jia Jun here, he has another drama where he was so much better, and I am like omg, how does he manage to come across as so utterly annoying here?!

My standard for C-drama is two gold mine and above of Avenuex. I watched this drama because Avenuex gave two gold mine for their previous drama-Once we get married and of course the undeniable chemistry of Wang Wang couple. The story has a lot of flaws but I still finished the series because of the adorable kid actor.

I loved this drama so much! The kid actor made everything much enjoyable and I think he did a great job.
