Not sure if it’s an issue in your climate-I live in Ohio- but I’ve been told moisture can be an issue with whole house spray foam. We would need to add a ventilator system to manage excess moisture. We are also addressing the age in place issues too. Good forward thinking.
Yes, it's very humid here in southeast Texas most of the time, and I've been reading the same. The heat/ac unit does have a Dry setting, but I haven't had to use it yet. I imagine that will change in summer. Thank you for your comments!
Sad the foreman Mr. Roman wants to help. I never understand my cats checked out our toilet before I could get back their. I told the boss okay his work and paid him It is your build an it is always a learning curve
What is the highest height for a handicap toilet? 19 inches ADA Requirements The seat height of a water closet above the finish floor shall be 17 inches (430 mm) minimum and 19 inches (485 mm) maximum measured to the top of the seat.
Go shopping and find a handicapped toilet that is comfortable for you. Measure its height. That should give you a good indication. You don't want a standard 15 inch toilet because that is harder to pull up off of when you are elderly or have back issues. Also, if he hasn't already planned for it, have Tyler put in the extra blocking in the walls for a slanted grab bar beside your toilet. The slanted ones are easier to use, I think. You may also want to have grab bars put in your shower and just outside your shower during installation so that chore is completed. It will need special blocking in the walls, too. I would also go ahead and put the one in beside the toilet at this time, that way you don't have to find someone else to come do it when it is needed.
It's coming along! Wonderful to see the dream unfolding! Roman is Adorable!!!
Thank you so much!
Looking great! I would cover your bathroom vanity with cardboard to keep it from scratching.
Great idea, thanks!

Thank you. That still seems low to me, but maybe I'm overthinking it? 🤷♀️😊

@@Jenny-dg4sb all great ideas, thank you!
Question: I notice my roof making a popping sound when the sun is on it. Do you notice this with your roof?
No, not that I've noticed. But we haven't had much sun lately either. I will keep an ear out, and ask Tyler.
