This is great, the first video and this are very helpful, even just seeing what sort of paint/tools you use, I just ordered one of these cars, I own one in real life and I recently found a tub for it that’s getting freshened up and painted! Which is very exciting, after finding this little rc car I might make a replica of my own ute! These two videos have given me some good insight, thank you!
Great stuff sir! Sorry I'm a bit late for the comments, but I'm interested in the camper top. I looked at your link to shapeways but didn't see the camper for sale. Know how I can get one without a 3d printer?
Can't wait to see what you do on the wiring. I'm wandering if there's a possibility of adding running rear lights. Are there empty plugs on the PCB that turn on with the headlights? 🤔
So sadly there is not much you can do with the onboard stuff. I had a RocHobby firehorse that I gutted for this. That electronic set has a ton of lighting options. Ill cover it on my Mogrich build
as always it looks pretty cool!! I like the touch of adding the tow ball. I know what you mean when you say that you sometimes have to dismember the drivers. I had been looking for an interior for my traxxas TRX-4 Defender. I got it in with an operable steering wheel but then couldn't fit a driver because of clearance issues. I ended up with a driver body from UDR truck and I cut an Ash vs. the Evil Dead figure in half. just below the rib cage. the arms reach the steering wheel and I got the head to turn as well. once everything was assembled it looks OK. but if you take out the interior, he's a mess. no legs, his body is inside the other driver shell. kind of a Frankenstein.
Ironic that your featuring the drivers when I took some RCs out at the wknd and totally forgot to put any drivers in them for the videos I did! Especially annoyed with myself for not fitting a driver in my 6th scale F350. Cool work looks like it came that way RTR
@@AMPROEngineering yeah I was gutted when I realised had no drivers. When we were videoing they just looked wrong with empty seats! But still havnt found a driver that fits in my 1/8 (nearer to 1/7) Defender but no excuses for the F350 as it takes 12" Barbie and GI Jo figures
Resin prints would come out better if you orientated them at 45 degrees both on the X and Y axis. You never want flat planes parallel to the build plate.
Try using better resin, Siraya Tech Blu v2 mixed with the cheaper (fast) version makes a nice middle ground of strength and layer print time. Also printing things with a large flat surface area will cause this warping issue.

It is an outstanding car. I run these a lot and they are a joy to drive and really well made.
That turning out great.
Give me the keys for the weekend?
I wish I was back in the 80's driving that truck!
Thanks! It has a lot work to be done!
Again, great video. You are making me feel like a kid again.
Hahah! Job well done then!
Thanks for the video , did you ever get to do part 3 ?
I have not but I do have more footage of this truck and the camper shell to post!
Great job . It’s such a nice car. Don’t know what it is about it but it’s just so nice to drive . I can watch it tootle about all day . 👍
There is a video I did of this on the beach...i watch it all the time. i dont know why...it just seems relaxing.
Really nice additions to the Toyota pickup. Job well done amigo.
Thanks man!
Looks good 👍
Came a long way!
Did you ever make those parts for the king Blackfoot please comment back thank you
Nope. You will see them here when I do.
Great job man👏🏻 me too i have this model can i ask what brand type of yellow have you used for front under bumper? Thanks
Thank you! It was just some yellow Krylon I used in the garage. it doesnt match but it is good enough.
Should do body lift kits to run larger tires on these.
That is a good idea. I am personally a stock ride height but on this it could look awesome!
Nice. 😊
Thank you!
Where do I buy the door panels and camper shell?
They will be on my shapeways store shortly. There is a link in the description.

Ah sorry! it is not up since the install video wasnt finished. Ill have them up soon and then you can get it from shapeways.
@@AMPROEngineering I really thank you sir! Its the best looking and most accurate one I've seen yet! I'm looking forward to your next video
Hello! very nice video & very good looking car !!! i always enjoyed watching videos of your rc cars ;) .. Salut !!

Exactly, some of my drivers are chopped up horribly but in the car they look fine, that is all that I care about! haha!
@@AMPROEngineering yeah! Just worry about the end product.
What happened to part 3 of the video
That's a great question...Ill need to make it.

Thank you! Yeah I didn't used to care but now....I just like to have them in there.

Pizza Planet!
I am blown away that there are not a million of those made yet, hahah!
Resin prints would come out better if you orientated them at 45 degrees both on the X and Y axis. You never want flat planes parallel to the build plate.
Also you might be letting them soak too long in alcohol post print. This can lead to warping during the post cure.
They were. They soak for 90-120 seconds in a cleaning bath/ Personally for stuff like this, I do not use Resin. Polyjet all the way for me.
Try using better resin, Siraya Tech Blu v2 mixed with the cheaper (fast) version makes a nice middle ground of strength and layer print time. Also printing things with a large flat surface area will cause this warping issue.
That is a good idea. I dont these printers anymore. Everything I use is polyjet since I just cant deal with the quality.
