Staring actors Karl Urban as John Grimm, Rosamund Pike as Samantha Grimm, Deobia Oparei as Destroyer, Ben Daniels as Goat, Dexter Fletcher as Pinky and Dwayne Johnson as Sarge.

I remember my dad buying this on dvd and playing the DooM 3 Xbox demo that came on the disc
When I was a child, I thought that an epoch lasted between the initial game release and the movie, but now i see that 9 to 11 years is nothing. The movie was released almost immediately after the game was born.
Fun fact the character Dr Carmacks surname is reference to the American computer programmer John Carmack who Programed the Doom games

Some video game adaptations are just not meant to happen but this movie I really enjoyed and playing the game it didn’t follow the game completely with the monsters being lab experiments that went wrong and not demons from hell it definitely was a good movie I know they had a remake that actually followed the game and I think this was a better movie then the remake
Tbh the girl getting mauled here by monster and 1st person scene were the best (or one could say - only good) scenes in the entire movie.
Nah the movie was not a single time boring, i liked it. The Resident Evil movies are really bad except of part 1 but thats my opinion.
I'm just salty they chickened out of making them demons.
Actually it's probably pretty lame. No sounds of tearing (besides the arm getting ripped off) and just slamming. I'm probably imagining the woman being lifted into the air while screaming and then getting smashed into the door. Seems like the only plausible thing.

Compared to Terminator 5 and 6, this movie... is a fucking masterpiece and classics of the genre.

For a devastatingly good movie for Doom, which will never come...I imagine the title intro of the movie, being just like this intro to the title, where inside of the letters D O O M, it showcases everything related to the games, from 93 to now, right now. With Eternal, dropping, in 2 months. Now, as the title builds itself, the band called Venom plays a song called Black Metal. It'll kinda be like the fanfare To the Marvel movies, but better! 🤟🔥✊

It's not a good adaptation but, it's not a bad film. I saw it as a boy, perhaps 11 years old, and it scared the ever living shit out of me...while simultaneously garnering my love as a cult classic and today, as a guilty pleasure. Personally, I wish the whole movie had been done like the FPS sequence with occasional 3rd person cut scenes. That'd have been the way to go.

Years later DOOM has now become Cult between videogame lovers ! why the hell are we hell bent on criticising the effort !! for 2005 the CGI , TECHNIQUE , ACTION, STORYLINE, THAT FPS PART , THE ACTORS R real cool...ROCK as Sarge is excellent..! the ones or trollers who only understand crafty and over the top expensive Films or just like comparing one "VIDEO game" adaptation to big blockbusters themselves are lame. C'MON the movie has a few loopholes !! apart than that its always a hats off effort !!!
I PERSONALLY understand such movies would never have millions of likes or followers but I care as a "DOOM" GUY MYSELF....ESPECIALLY APPRECIATE the ENDING CREDITS video/opening intro. Kindly dont hate it so much its not a 200 million dollar piece !! Now after that disastrous ANNIHILATION this movie feels just Godlike...! I think this is one of the better movies which came at a wrong time ! this DOOM movie would do much better TODAY !! :-) i guess we can certainly appreciate some good stuff and if we dont like video game movies /based concepts we shouldnt watch them !! As myself a great fan and gamer who played DOOM 3 Sleeplessly and quake games, this one is highly recommended if you are true blue retro gamer !!!

Yes. Everyone knows the United States Military answers to the corporations who get its congressional paymasters and president elected but, it's all very indirect so, he'd be getting his orders from his CO. As for the shoes, he probably thought them in poor taste and it was just to reflect his general disapproval of Portman's sexual degeneracy.

Universal is taking another try at a Doom movie. That's right, a brand new Doom movie is being made but it is a reboot and has no connection to this one. Let's hope they get the demon and zombie stuff right this time.
