      It’s not my original idea. I don’t know if it belongs to anyone in particular. Wouldn’t think so. 🙂 There are quite a few videos on different channels showing this technique.
      I’m just another one. But I agree ….. it’s a gooder!

    having the waste WASTE yarn in between really does make it easier to separate the two...

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
      @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet  Год назад +1

      It started out using it then got away from it and now I am going to start using it again.
      I don’t mind doing it either way.

      @@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet it's probably an easier solution for those beginning waste yarns but not so needed for the end waste..

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet

      That’s right. It’s not needed for the end. Only an option for the beginning.

      Check out the videos on my channel for scarves or blankets. I use waste yarn so I can close the ends.

    I understand the concept of waste yarn. However, I do not understand the secure method. That is supposed to be hat right? If you slip stitch the ends together the hole will be shut. How do you get it on your head? This is what confuses me about waste yarn.

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
      @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet  7 месяцев назад

      This is not a hat. It’s
      Just a tutorial showing how to remove waste yarn.
      I do not use waste yarn when I make a beanie.
      I use it when I want to make a flat edge on the end of a tube.

      @@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet Oh ok. I thought that it was a beanie because of the closed top. I'm sorry. I have seen other tutorials where they use waste yarn for beanies and they secure it the same why. I was just confused by how it worked.

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
      @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet  7 месяцев назад

      I have seen people using waste yarn for beanies as well and I don’t get it. To me it’s just an added step.
