Drove up from DC to catch this two night run. This was the dreaded 2004 Summer Tour. Phish had announced earlier in the spring that they were breaking up after the summer tour ended. Rocked our world as Phish fans. My friends and I scrambled to hit as many shows as possible. Thankfully Phish reunited 5 years later in 2009 and have been going strong ever since. Despite all the troubles and the band generally sounding pretty bad that year, this version of Free stands out as one of the greatest. The video doesn't really show it, but it was POURING on us that night. Sweltering hot day and then got pretty damn chilly and miserable when the storms rolled over NYC that day. Rained pretty much all night for this show, but still a fun time. Glad I was able to make it. We have to get you to a show. Like, seriously. You'll be hooked.
Saw one of last few shows that year at alpine valley.. one of best moments in my life… took a gorgeous cool girl I was friends with they played her fav song (divided sky aka no dogs allowed in the subway ) and funkiest boogie on reggae woman ever
I was at the great went, cypress 1999 New years Eve and a bunch of shows around then, saw them next in 2012, then just this summer in st Louis, they still sound great but having to listen to their new stuff just didn't get it for me like the old days, Phish phan for life but long for yester year
Just got into your channel through your Phish reactions. Big fan and happy to seen you've done my two favorite bands, the Phish from Vermont and Tool. My request is bring Tool out of the vault for a reaction to Eulogy. Thanks for your content!
Love your descriptive interpretation of the music towards the spacey section towards the last few minutes! Sounds like “A generator gearing up” “Bad rotor in your car and the wheels still spinning” 😂😂 Funny cause Phish is definitely a machine! Love the channel ✌️
Pretty sure you did moma dance which was the song before this. I even commented on that video to say you can’t do one without the other. Glad to see this get posted!
Wet and drippy? I like. I'd almost landed on inside-a-black-tar-coated-bubble-gum-bubble (with the cartoon reflection square and all), but wet, drippy, low-end is pretty solid.
So, yeah, seeing this after commenting on the Cavern video, it confirms that this new 8-minute cap is a real thing. Gotta be honest, you're losing me as a viewer with that policy. My thoughts/arguments are over in that comment on the Cavern video (at which I totally welcome a dialogue with anyone). Hate for this, as I've thoroughly enjoyed reliving my Phish discovery process from 20 years ago through you, but you're cutting yourself off from far too much from the band with something that restrictive. It's your channel and your choice, obviously, but I hope you reconsider, as I probably won't be the only Phish fan you lose. Edit: here, I think this links directly to my comment highlighted: ruclips.net/video/qAVHphDPfh4/видео.html&lc=Ugx0b3tZ8PHjIyyjdwZ4AaABAg
You're the man Teez. Appreciate it.
It looks familiar because you reacted to Moma Dance, the song before this, during this particular set
And here we go with my ongoing education of Phish 😎 The classroom I never want to leave; I blame Teez 😁
This right here^^^^
@@prairiephan and if you don’t know now ya know… 👆👍🤜
Banger.

When I close my eyes and think of Free, this is the one I hear 👌. Thx

The best thing about this is when the bass comes back to normal off the effect. Smooth

Ever seen a band with so many fucking BANGERS?!?? :)
I sent you a 6 minute Phish vid by the way, paid. Hope to see it someday, but take your time!
They are on tour now, you MUST go!!!
Damn I saw widespread and now I see this?! Wow. Love it man.
I know! A two fer...
You reacted to moma dance, from this same run of shows. Might've even been the same show. That's why it looked familiar.

Summer and fall tour is on.. Go see a show!
Yes yes yes
Mike bringin' that wet, drippy low-end bass!! #funkyouverymuch

Wanna really get weird.....check out Oysterhead!
This is my band. Let's go
Never got into them until I subbed to Teez; now they're a fave..
This may look familiar because it is from the same show as the one with Jay-Z
Think you're thinking central park.
@@prairiephan I was thinking this was the night Jay Z came out but this was the night before at the same venue
The bass frog was a lil extra bassy and the frog bass, a lil extra froggy in Coney Island that night.
I swear Phish has a bunch of songs that make you think........i heard that before
Man I swear 😂😂😂
you did the song that lead into this
👀
A Phish break? And a minute cap?
Teez!
C'mon, man. Are you taking PayPal requests?
Do the longer songs over on Patreon?
This was Trey peak drugs

There's definitely a unique opportunity for something to be known as the phriendly reactor.
Maybe you could just do 1 day a week and do like 5 long form videos that day? Just a thought.....
Nice video Teez💯Could you make a video reacting to our 1v1 boxing match vid 🥊
Trey was in pretty rough shape at this point...
Luckily not in Coventry shape.
