One of my greatest achievements as a parent is listening to Ween so much in the car while my oldest daughter was growing up that they are absolutely ingrained in her and probably her favorite band of all! That’s parenting done right.
My greatest joy was taking my adult daughters to see Ween. We have tickets for the whole family this go around when they come back. Husbands are coming as well. Family of Ween fans and loving it...

Ween are amazing. They manage to mix fun and seriousness together, in a weird and unique way. Any songs from Chocolate and Cheese or The Mollusk are great. Work your way through those albums.
I love Ween so much. Ween snapped me out of a multi year depression, that coincides with the break up of Ween. I was laying in bed letting the algo rythym of Y.T. to take me where ever it chose, then on came live Ween Iwas confused as to what I was watching. Was this a new lead singer? No, it was Gene, but hardly resembled the Gener of old, he was about 100lbs heavier and his hair white @ LOKN music festival. I couldn't believe this was really happening, that Ween were back together. They may have saved my life
I can't get sick of them. The catalog is almost endless. Listen to "Pink Eye on my Leg" or "Pollo Asada" one day, you might have to call your shrink after. These guys are genious.
First time I heard WEEN I was tripping on shrooms. My friend brought over their album Pure Guava. The song "Little Birdy" made the room spin. However, when the 2nd voice started singing it started spinning slower as if a strobe light got ahold of us. It was one of those nights we were so high we had to hold on to something so that we didn't fall off of earth. However, that album changed my life that night. Only other bands that did that was Jane's Addiction with "THREE DAYS" and Pink Floyd "Live at Pompeii."

Ok I’m gonna get dragged if I’m wrong, but I think that particular hand drum is a Djembe (jem-bay). I think he has a Djembe next to a Tambourine. Bongos are smaller. They’re all hand drums tho.
I think you're right about djembe ( I don't know if that's how its spelled either, let's just call it a "jambay" haha. I thought he was just playing his regular drums with his hands during that performance but I'm probably wrong. Sounds badass whatever he's doing. Great drummer!!

@@ericwoolfenden6536 you're good I don't know why I came off so aggressive.. The whole ensemble is back together with Claude on drums and Glenn on keyboard and Dave on bass and they absolutely killed it when I drove 5 hours to see them. You should watch their 2021 Vegas bowl lives they are great.

"The Argus" and "Transdermal Celebration" are both phenomenal Ween songs, so much incredible music from those guys, huge fan for years, lol
You should also dive into Super Furry Animals, another incredibly underrated band
Transdermal Celebration might just be my favorite by Ween. All of Quebec is crazy good, but that song feels really special for some reason.

I believe he is just playing the snare drum with his hands and the snares switched off. Perfect timbre for the vibe of the song though.
