I knew a fair amount about Caribbean extinctions, but a hell of a lot here was news to me - I've NEVER heard of cave rails or knew Cuba once had a kestrel. There's definitely a need for an up to date book on the subject, lots of new info becoming available. Many thanks for this.

As a Puerto Rican, this was wonderful! Extremely depressing, but still important information about a land where many of us would rather believe the past never existed. On the Golden Coquí, I myself have seen similar specimens in and around their range, where I live. I'll have to take note of that in the future.
