- Me and Musen is on a 3 day bushcraft trip. With more classic equipment than usual. This is the last location.
One of the limbs on the chair broke during the night. The wood worked better as firewood, than for building, it was to rotten. (10:51)
I don't think i will be making this version again, unless i figure out a better modification to it.
Enchanted Forest. Wow. I bet the lil ferries were watching you.
The photography is the best for any bush craft videos I've seen on YT.
Thanks man :)
I love it. Melancholic and beautiful. When you chill you have the rare gift of not showing with body language that you are observed by the camera. 100% natural.
Well said
А я на вас обоих подписан😂👍
Thanks my friend. :)

Вы оба - настоящие мужчины. Так и нужно - меньше слов и больше дела.
THAT, my friend, is a badass chair. I want one. I'm addicted.
Your knowledge and respect of nature is outstanding. Your creativity of building is remarkable. Always moving forward and teaching new. True bushcraft. Thank you!
nice video! great friend you got there Don
Sesama bushman nih, mantap.. Salam dari penggemar kalian. 😁
Thanks :) Yes i wouldn't like to go on a trip without her.
Your videos I enjoy very much! You are a "natural"...👍
I've been puzzling over such a chair design...many are similar in look and basic concept but that's just plain genius. So few pieces, easy cuts, as long as the wood is available. Love it!
Thank you :) The next time i will be choosing a non rotten tree. ;)
I Always enjoy your videos, a true bushcrafter making something out of nothing.
So rustic and so peaceful
Don, hey. Always, always, always look forward to your videos. You capture the majesty and beauty of the natural world. Thanks again.
Thank you :D
amazing nature, amazing video.
Thanks again for another beautiful night in the bush.
The more I see, the more I learn about ways to stay alive in emergent situations. Thanks for posting.

Super beautiful video... thx for sharing
Hi nice too see you again!
also i like the way you leave campsite as original as when you came not too many campers do that anymore.
@Tom Lamb yes it is a shame. should take longer than that and shows land isnt taken care of way it should be when i camp i take a good hour or so to leave it way it was.
So fun dude!! I am stuck in Sweaty-Smoggy-Miserableville....also known as Houston Texas. You and Rune are my escape!
Спасибо за видео ! Очень интересно ! Будем смотреть вас постоянно...

So nice. Great video.
Tak min ven. :)
Hey Soeren, your knowldge of wood and how to work it just blows me away. Instinctive, just like my father. Good stuff :)
Excellent food, yum.
Warm hugs for you and sweet Musen.
Thanks Donna. Well not good enough. The wood for the chair was to rotten, so one of the limbs broke. :/
That place is indeed beautiful .Awesome
Great content and cinematography DVG...nice to see Musen lending her moral support as always and HER reindeer hide ✔
You are a true outdoorsman by the way you handle an axe friend. Great video.
Musen is the most laid-back pup ever. 🐕
Wow. The length of that jawbone was impressive. Those deer must be pretty large.
Thanks :) Yes some of them are huge.
Great work! Keep it up
Hi DVG i hope you have the best Holidays EVER☺🐶🐕
Same to you Linda :)
Your woods is so quiet - and the moss is so thick. I love it!
Give the dog a pat for me...
Thank you so much for your videos. You and the other youtubers that make these kind of videos really fulfill a longing I have to be doing the same thing which I am currently physically unable to do. But you inspire me to try. Love seeing your dog in the videos too.
Great looking chair 👍
That pork belly looked good and nice sturdy chair. Nice video
It was a very nice time
Simple, but great video! Beautifull forest!
As always another great video good sir.

Outstanding video. When I saw you use those logs as a chair I thought that was pretty sweet. Never would have thought of that one.
Love your dog! Hello from Canada 🇨🇦

Tak Tom :)
love it. so beautiful forest
Лес неописуемый🌲🌲🌲
When you sleep alone in the forest, do you feel scared? I think you are very environmentally conscious: when you leave this forest you put out the fire, look back the green grass, clean the surrounding clean, well worth everyone learning, thank you for share video!
'Leave no trace'.....
Survive in forest His respect for nature is one of the things that I admire the most.
@@sheilablake4858 Ok, he just cuts off fallen dead trees to make firewood, I also admire him!
@@hermit6208 Looks like he forgot the camera! 😄:D
Survive in forest You’ve clearly missed the point of these videos then, what a shame.
cool chair turned out👍 and as always a good video!
it just amazing how easy you start a fire !!!!!!! I guess with the skill you have everything is easy .
Thanks :) No not always, some times its a struggle. In the first of the 3 videos, i made bow drill, and because of the forest machines i edited the first half fast. The bow drill was a struggle, I broke the string, you can see the knot on it. I had to change the bow, it was to stiff for natural string. I have used bankline for too long. And its elastic so you can just a stiff stick.
DonVonGun all the while, he had a lighter in his pocket, it is all in the challenge.
The forest and it’s floor look beautiful at this time of year. Your precision with the axe astounds me every time I watch you work, I could watch for hours. It was adorable to see your dog not wanting her blanket to be packed away at the end, she’s a lovely girl (I’m assuming) what’s her name? You clearly have an affection for nature, I’m wondering if you find a spiritual connection out there. Thank you for another beautiful video. Much love.
Thanks Sheila :) Her name is Effie, but i only call her by her name, when she doesn't listen. Normally i call her Musen (the mouse) Yes i feel spirituality, specially on longer trips. It usually takes 3-4 days. Energies and moods.
DonVonGun I completely agree. Being in nature is grounding. I too feel a spiritual connection & I think most people who watch these types of videos do. It’s a shame it takes you so long to relax, or remove yourself from daily life that it requires a longer trip to feel the connection. Its a mental technique that you can teach yourself to do in a shorter time. Thank you for teaching me my 1st Danish word - mouse. How sweet she is. 💕
@@sheilablake4858 Oh, but i relax when i get out there, i just don't feel any spirituality at once. It takes a while, i have to get into the rhythm of nature first. Yes i could probably do it faster if i trained it. Dont know how thou.
DonVonGun I’m glad you’re still relaxed while there 😊It depends if it’s your type of thing or not, but meditation can help hugely. I think the 2 fit together beautifully. Nature is my favourite place to meditate. If you’re willing to give that a try, just check out YT & watch a few videos on how to meditate & a great place to start is by ‘raising the kundalini’ Just type it into YT & they’ll be some music to listen to while you meditate. It’s strong though, so be prepared for some powerful & wonderful things to happen once you’ve achieved it. It can take some practice. Please let me know if you try it, it’s all about raising your consciousness. Lots to look up if you need to. Much love 💕
beautiful

Salam dari penonton Indonesia, 😄
Hi Don: I surely appreciate your honest approach to your achievements in the woods. I was wondering about the suitability of the chair logs from the sound the axe made. Great campsite & an enjoyable video. Thanks Brian 79
One of the limbs broke during the night. I thought it would work, but it was to rotten. Thanks :)
Keep going! Greetings!
Fed video, og et fedt sted du har fundet. En rigtig troldeskov. :)
Thumbs up!!!
Clark
Thanks Clark :)
Your 🐕 is adorable and I his probably thirsty and hungry as well just saying!
Thanks :) She gets all she can drink and eat.
vor dem stuhl baue ich mir beim camp eine seitenwand, gutes video ansonsten
Thank you Gunner ;-)
謝謝你的分享。

Loved it....but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too short bro.
Excellent video. Keep them coming. What pack is that, and tarp as well. American gearhead question
Thank you :) Fjallraven Gyro
hell why not on that chair did u not make the back post few inches higher then ur head and add a left and right 6 inch stud logs to keep u from tipping left or right ? the chair is ganna last 20 years
Can't figure what breed Effie is. Love her temperament. To me she has some of that tomboy appeal that's great in the woods.
She is half brown lab and half black/white toy puddle. :)
@@DonVonGun Now that is one very special mix. :)
Fed fed fed video endnu en gang. 😊👍🏻 Hvilken ramme er det på den LK75? Hils Musen fra Kalle😁
Ja tak! Så ved jeg hvad de næste 30 min skal gå med!
👍👍
Hi, I would like to ask how do you keep the meat in "condition" during a three day trip without a fridge? I assume it is fresh and not salted (definitely not suitable for a dog). Anyway, great video, all three parts. The moss-carpeted forest is absolutely stunning.
Thank you :) I brought it frozen.
@@DonVonGun I thought so, but I didn't know it would last three days outside... Thanks for the reply and good luck on your next adventure!
How do you educate your dog so he is so chill the hole time? does he run if he/she sees for example a deer? I'm really curious! ... btw, great content man!
Guess it depends a lot on what kind of species your dog is. But i am together with her 24/7 and we know each other pretty well. When se spots a deer that is close, she runs after it, but only for 20-30 meters. She always want to know where i am. When she was a puppy, and went out of sight, i was hiding every time. and she got scared. I can't hide from her any more. She finds me right away. Thanks :)
@@DonVonGun cool! Thanx for the answer!
What an eco camping!!
just watched your new video and i liked it. your chair was nice didnt it hold up? evening meal looked delish. was that pork ? looking forward to next one have a great thanksgiving!
The wood i used was to rotten, so one of the limbs broke. It worked better as firewood. Yes pork. Thanks :)
by far, i said this befor and i will say it again, by golly i love these areas u camp in, and wish i had such beautiful areas like this. reminds me much of the lord of the rings and even more magical areas that are out there, i mostly lived in a desert now (for the last 15++ yrs..., and i dont remember much of when i lived in bufflo NY USA witch i dont think was as good looking are your area.25 or more years ago....)
my fammly moved around alot because at there age (old) when they got me they nolonger worked really...)
i was wondering is there anyway you could take beautiful photographs of these areas now u are camping in? i seen the few u had on ur 3 web sites but i dont know if they been updated in some time or not.
Thanks :) Every place in nature has its own beauty. When i am out filming, i forget to take photos, i shall be better at remembering that. After instagram changed their algorithm i think it sucks. I wanna see the best photos, not the photos from the persons that is most active. :(
thank you for your videos, you are a model for me, I am a beginner in the bushcraft, I also make videos less beautiful than yours but I try to take your example to immerse the viewer as you do, can you tell me where Can I find animal skins like yours? Thank you so much good luck! your friend from Belgium 🇧🇪🦊
Thank you :) My reindeer skin is from Sweden.
Can i buy one have u got à Link ?

Another excellent trip. I have to ask... What material is your tarp made of? I like it!
Thanks :) Its a canvas tarp i dyed.
