When i first started i completely ignored lower back, abs and focused on chest and biceps a lot. A few months in i couldn't sit cross-legged for even a minute because my lower back hurt soo much. RDL, regular DL'S and various ab workouts solved my issue completely

I have really bad hamstrings. i’ve just strained my hamstring for the 4th time this year all while running. can you please help me strengthen them enough so i can keep playing sport. at this point i swear i’ve tried everything, physiotherapist, chiropractor’s, masseuses nothing has worked. i really need help
@Matthew Shaw Thanks for the advice but unfortunately i pulled my hamstring again for the third time this year, pulled it sprinting while playing sport. Right at the end of the season as well my footy season is over.
@@parota_7103 I was doing this earlier this year and then I waited for it to recover, started doing a lot of rdls and Nordic ham curls, waited a bit and started sprinting again and it was fine
I do rdls but my problem is i have to set the bar down every 2-3 reps cz i cant hold onto it so i adjust my grip a few times during the set. Other than that, i love'em
i think it is irresponsible to tell people to do an exercise without telling them how to keep themselves safe while performing it, especially with a strenuous exercise like romanian deadlifts. you mention to keep the bar tight, but what does that mean? all you said was to keep it tight, you didnt specify to create tension in the lats by keeping the arms and shoulder blades tight and packed down, and even im not explaining that clearly. i just think as a fitness personality giving advice on youtube, you probably should keep people safe too
you will never get the same stretch and hamstring engagement from regular deadlift. do this exercise and you will feel it for yourself. i'm not even doing regular deadlifts anymore
Tip: Start the movement by “pushing your hips back” Similar like when you go to sit down on a chair. When you can no longer push your hips back. (IMO) You’re at your limit and going further is not necessary. Also the bar should always be touching your leg on the way down and up. If the bar has aggressive knurling, wear gym pants or knee sleeves on your shins.
Master this movement for weeks with light weights before you thing of doing 135. Or you could just prepare for the worse Doms of life. That’s if your back doesn’t blow out on ya 😂

For someone trying to lift like an Olympian how many training sesh do you hit a day? One major sesh a day or 2 sesh morning night type of thing

What ab exercise did u do coz most of them hurt my lower back
Rdls are the only reason I never skip legs days lol.
Big, strong glutes = better posture & more aesthetic lower physique

I blew my back out doing these because I got distracted at the bottom of the rep and lost tension in my lumbar 🤠
I started this a few months ago, takes time to develop that connection, but it has carried and helped a lot of my other lifts.

Rdls work your glutes. Hamstrings don’t get much work unless u limit the knee flexion

...your lower back is hyperextended. that is exactly the opposite of a lower back stretch.

Get some straps or use hook or mixed grip

Nothing big too big on rdl, me first lift the weight through conventional deadlift and then proceeed to rep 160kg for 10.
