Great Tips! The pathfinder hack literally blew my mind! However, be careful with your blacks! Your basic text in a brochure or similar should always be the standard black and not a rich black. Also rember to set black elements to overprint if necessary!
Always check with the print provider before you output rich black. Most do not like it over saturated w/ color because of wasted ink and dry time. Here in the U.S. most rich blacks are C: 55, M: 44, Y: 40, K: 100
The boning effect portion of the video made me question if something is wrong with my eyes. You said the one without boning looks much better. I thought they looked exactly the same, which is why I'm watching your vids 😂
6:45 Don't wanna be this guy, but setting the color to these black values will give you a total ink coverage above 300%, which you wanna keep mostly below 280%, this could mess with your prints. nevertheless great video \o/
Hey Will, a teacher of mine that worked for 30 years in the printing industry told me that the best values for rich black are C60% M60% Y60% K100%, don't know how true this is but I've been using it for years and I have a very nice black on prints every time.
Will, your videos are inspiring and full of knowledge. Keep up the good work. Could you make a behind the scenes, how you create videos like this (equipment, setup, computer, etc.)? Thanks
Hoping to create a day-in-the-life video soon :) there is a video I did last year on the channel of my desk though if you wanted to watch that in the meantime :)
Hi sir please reply when you design a wordmark logo how to decide where to add an abstract element for example 'V' in visa logo is there any fix rule or you have to add it according to requirements?

I am unable to post on the reddit group, It says " Sorry this post was removed by Reddit's filters" can someone help me about this?
That's odd - try changing the wording, if there's words, links, hashtags etc that go against Reddit's rules it might not let you post?
1st to comment. Thanks Will
1.618 may i know the logic behind it?
Do i add 150 or 180 to find the complementary? Just watched a dof video of yours and the number to use was 180
