Also criminal that some.of yiur vods are pulling in awesome.numbers and people arent hitting that Sub button. Keep up ther great work.I'll be checking out more of yiur videos for sure.
Thanks man, much appreciated 👍 I had the same issue with the logs too lol, with the absence of auto load for logs on console this is the best I think we have at the moment 😁 thanks for watching 🙏
I like the storage and loading method you showed. I have been using the CSZ pack big bad handler to load logs with the tension straps. It works well for the most part but can't lift as many logs as once. It's easy to attach to the logs in the field though. It can get a little squirrley if the straps have slack in them sometimes. I found the standard log forks pretty frustrating.
The loading ramp mod makes loading with a front loader a pleasure in my opinion. I did that for a while on a map and it was easy as pie to load a trailer while above the standards 😂
i sometimes find that not strapping the logs down makes the trailer more stable as it allows the logs to move around and settle more individually as logs rather than as one large item, which is what the logs become when strapped
Thanks for the tips. Currently a "2nd time" logger, so I'm not a super newbie, but looking to step up my game as my group starts a fresh map on New Frontier. Still wasting money on experimenting with the most efficient methods and equipment for my playstyle. Definitely going to incorperate some of the method and hardware recommendations from this video. Cheers!
I always use the Concrete Dividers by Dazed and thanks to this video, I will use your fence methods to sort my log storage piles. Thanks for the video and you acquired a new sub.
Thanks for subscribing much appreciated, I'm glad you found this useful it was a game changer for me and such a huge time saver, i'll check out the concrete divider you mentioned that sounds very interesting, i'm always on the look out for useful mods. Thanks again for watching!
Just a tip ive realised. If you leave a fence panel out in the centre. You can grab easier as the forks dont hit the fence and go under the logs completely
Hey mate, that sounds like a good strategy, I will have to try it out. Do you have any issues getting the logs into the silage bunker? That's interesting about working in a real life timber mill, how much of the real world activity, is accurately depicted in game I wonder
Hey mate, fellow Aussie farmer here. I too play on PS5 but will move over to PC once I platinum. Excellent idea. I tend to not have logs on the ground long enough to need to store them. Your road train idea peaked my interest though. I recently uninstalled the TLX X52 logger with the lizard Bogeyman dolly that would allow you to road train. I had it set up as a b-double. I did away with it because the trailer, while longer, seemed more narrow than the trailer you're using here and when fully loaded, the straps wouldn't tie down the whole load. I've actually gone back to using this trailer you're using because in my opinion it is the best available on the modhub for console. Mainly because of it's length and capacity and I've found 8m lengths are easier to handle and load nicely too.
Hey mate thanks for watching much appreciated, I find the current trailer I'm using is very wobbly on turns the TLX trailer seems more solid. Still testing out the road train idea it's mostly just for fun as I move road trains for some reason lol. The point about the straps is interesting I will need to take a look at that.
Not a problem. Yeah, I think I noticed the TLX made a slight difference but then again, I do try to fit as many logs as possible in to the trailer to save on trips. The AI helper is hit and miss with a simple driving task so I figured make the most of each trip. I get it, boys and our big toys. Road trains are amazing on their own but in game they would be super helpful too. One less trip to the sawmills, especially if you're coming from the top end of Silverrun Forest.
@@gwynkoo8890 try using the GPS in the build mode the map on the left hand bottom will tell what angle you are at. just set it to 0 , 90 , 180, or 270 degrees to get perfect right angles when budling the fence, make sure to to toggle snapping on as this will ensure straight lines

And dont use the one with the crane. 2nd Their is a trailer mod that matches the truck also. Down side you will only be able to get an 8 or 9 meter logs on it. The trailers are already set up so you can use as road trains and turns sharp corners well. And 3rd try out the crawler mod. Its a Leber track loader with weight and use the manure fork. Sounds mest up but use the straps on the manure fork along with the grabs and it works awesome at picking up large amount of logs. Its not very fast but its cheap to buy. Its small and a track vehicle so it maneuvers great. And down side in real life you would need a tad more reach to dump logs.
