I met Belinda Carlise after The David Letterman Show years ago and she was so shocked that she remembered we had sat for a half hour in The Spectrum in Philly where I work years ago and talked about how the 80s music one day would be remembered as great stuff and indeed it is.A really great person and down to earth.She signed the pictures I had with her that night in The Spectrum and then had new ones at The David Letterman Show.
If you really know her then you know she is a prima Donna.

I've only just seen this video for the first time, I reckon the woman who ran on stage was planned, judging by how the camera angle and timing were perfect to capture it. Most films don't get that perfect in my experience. Great show, love the bare feet, it's so spontaneous and genuine.

@@DigitalCitizen1 She did have issues with her weight not by any normal standards but in the entertainment industry she did. Worst than her weight was her coke addiction. The coke helped with the weight issue. She was a beautiful woman I only wish she could have felt the same way.
Yeah, I totally meant it in terms of Hollywood expectations of women which are ridiculous. She is obviously beautiful and perfectly fit for a normal person, but they put a lot of pressure on women in showbiz to be skinny and "perfect" or whatever. I think she's stunning.

They weren’t called mullets back then, in fact it didn’t have a name for the style. Only later they came up with the derogatory term “mullet”. Many people back in the 80’s styled their hair like that.
I saw Belinda (and Charlotte) on this tour at The Chestnut Cabaret in Philly on July 3, 1986. They had surprise guests Andy Taylor (who had just left Duran Duran) and Steve Jones from The Sex Pistols.
Every time Belinda wags her finger I get a huge smile and start getting that old feeling again because I love her so much!

What is especially nice is seeing how happy Charlotte looks when you see her in close-ups here. In a lot of live Go-Go's videos, which were made when she was still hooked on heroin, her smiles seem really forced a lot of the time--if she's smiling at all.

Such talent, no in ear monitors, raw sound and talent on stage along with a real band. We do not have this now in 2023. All these new singers have no shelf life like the 80s and 90s bands.

Belinda - cute with a beautiful voice. The Go Gos had some great songs, upbeat and fun. I too am conservative, and understand the more outspoken people in the entertainment industry tend to be liberal / progressive.
