I was fitted 2 years ago with the tsi2 in a graphite design ad iz shaft I had my fitting last week for the R same head and loft 9* with my iz shaft and gained 11mph ball speed and 16 yards carry it’s absolutely worth going and getting fitted
Kinda of a cool looking shirt, the swirling patterns kinda match the sky. New TSR drivers look pretty sharp. My next fitting I’ll consider Titleist but for now I’m good. I’ll keep my F9 for now.
I got fitted into the TSR 2 this morning and the sound and feel was amazing, the off centre hits surprised me because there was very little drop in numbers. Looking forward to gaming it when it arrives
i got fitted for the tsr2 yesterday, no matter where i hit in the face the spin numbers were very consistant . i went with the upgraded shaft in the fujikura tr blue. im hoping i get it before my wife sees my bank account . i may not live to play with it
I'd kill for either one lol. Titleist is my dream brand I'd love to have a full Titleist bag but im a budget golfer but I've always thought Titleist looked the best and when I've had a chance to hit them I've always been pleased
The key for me would be dispersion. With only 3 yards difference. There is a noticeable difference in launch angle and I would be interested what the difference in performance would be if they had similar launch angles. With the information presented, personally, I would not upgrade from Ts1 to Tsr. I don't had free enough information to determine which club I would purchase if I was upgrading from an older driver.
@@JamesRobinsonGolf That's why I love your Videos, Straight up info. Hope your wife does well with the rentals! My best game ever was with a bad miss marched set of basic rental clubs!
James love the videos. Personally for 3yards can't see the benefit Vs Cost of c£500. If dispersion is miles better then ok. Think always key is when you have technology that's 5-6 yrs old then there's generally a much bigger benefit which would justify the cost.....unless you're getting it for free or you have more money than sense. Sorry if anyone disagrees but head over heart on this one
Lots of comments about dispersion and distance and if it's better than last years/ year before model. When I look for a new driver I'm looking at ball flight and if I'm hitting the window of what I want to see. I'm looking at if the ball flight is stable. Perhaps it's because I play in a lot of wind but I'm not looking to be too analytical about the figures. The club either works for me or not.
I gamed the TSI3 and it was a ball speed monster. My TSR3 is on the way and looking forward to putting it through the test next week once in my hands. Titleist makes exceptional woods and will stay in my bag for years to come. Well done James. 👍🙌🙌💪💪🔥🔥🔥👊👊
Hate to burst your bubble, but I love my TSi as well and for good reason. The difference between TSi and TSR is literally a couple of yards. I can't justify $750(CDN) for an "upgrade" when the difference is that insignificant. I found that TSR2+ was an amazing surprise, to the point where I'm ordering one, but the difference for a TSi3 player in the driver will be pretty much zero.
What is the life of a driver per golfer. 5 years? Same as irons. I’m ready for new irons. Im still whacking my F9 300 +. Im going to go to Titleist for the next 1 because I believe they make a great product. I may get the Takomo 101T because of you. When I change my irons. X-stiff 1/2” longer flat. Fitting Schmitting?
TSR2+ review coming? I play a narrow course at home so the 3w’s designed to be driver alternatives have always intrigued me and would like to see how it stacks up against cobra big tour 3w.
The TSR2+ is the one I’m most interested in too. Would love to see a comparison like you mentioned against other bomber, tee-focused strong 3 woods. Or even just a review focused on it.
I play a 910d2 and I see about a 5 yard difference between that head and tsi, in favor of the 910. The only drivers I used to ever come close to my gamer would be 917d3, 915d3 and gbb epic
I had that 915 D3 and I just recently sold it for a tsi3 I’ll tell you the “forgiveness on off center hits” is massively better on todays (tsi3 driver) my launch changed too (and I got “more consistent spin numbers) both are pretty “close in shot dispersion” but for me I was “happy to make the upgrade” Now from tsi to tsr idk. Possibly be upgrading my 3 wood (bc I cannot hit it off the ground high enough) I may go back to a 15 degree tsi3 verse my 13.5 tsi2 but yea I get your point for some it’s hardly much better I really liked that 915 D3 I kept it 8 years lol and that 3 wood. But I’ll say after playing tsi3 for a year now I wouldn’t go back in driver (possibly the three wood tho) and I wouldn’t go back in 5 wood/hybrid but yea
Golf club manufactures are in the business of selling golf clubs. USGA put in the rules of how fast a ball can come off the face of the drivers. There is zero difference between drivers from 2016 and 17 from the 2021 and 22 drivers. Find one you like and stick with it!
Change? No. To be honest the only changes you see is when you change brands rather than changing into new gen drivers from the same brand as they keep to the same formula. It's all down to the shaft and how you feel about the design personally I love the tsi and r more than any 2020/22 driver on the market but for the money and performance I game the Gen 5 PXG which is a visual combo of the Rogue and TSI IMO.
I have the TSi3 & the TSr on order. am I gaining any significant advantage? no. but I don't drink, smoke, gamble or philander. My only vice is golf & it's harmless, except to my wallet.
I realize the video has to be made for content, but golf clubs will come down to 3 things because golf technology won’t be changing for quite a while. Especially for drivers. LOOKS - SOUND - FEEL
I changed drivers and 3 wood. The new ones are father the the old taylors (12 years old) to Callaway 's. New tech gives 10 to 15 yards You loosing golf balls, say it ain't so.
@@JamesRobinsonGolf yeah it looks nice but it’s like 95% the same. Just my preference if I’m buying a new titleist driver I would personally want it to look different

Have the tsi2. Won’t be changing. Don’t know what the trade in would be but pre order in Ireland if your to buy outright it’s €640 ridiculous money.

James what about a video comparing your Stealth against the TSR3 for a competition to go into your bag.
The main improvements in the TSR range are the shaping of the TSR2 and the forgiveness In the TSR4.
I've already pre-ordered my tsr3..Slightly bigger sweetspot over my tsi3 and cleaner look is enough for me to bite
Did you have a look at the PXG gen 5?

Great video James , excellent review 👌🏌♂⛳
Cheeky I was just commenting how you mixed up the intro when you said that

The pan round on laura made the video 🤣
Pretty close in my opinion. When do the Tsi drivers go on clearance sale??
My mate is looking at both of these. If the forgiveness is better then it's probably worth it no?
💯💯💯
You need to highlight dispersion in the simulator testing, James!
3:50 please do your "should I change my underwear daily or weekly challenge or maybe monthly challenge "
I'm not sure 3 yards is worth the upgrade
I have a TS3 and there's no way I'm paying £529 to buy a TSR3.
So if you have the old model you should keep it in the bag unless you want to pay around £150 per yard😳🤷🏻♂️

Let's do it now
Looks like Titleist is getting into the RUclips game now. Let's see how many TSR videos we can find by these guys trying to sell clubs to us?
No they just lifted the embargo on the videos so the creators all drop around the same time because they are finally allowed too
He has made a video about it before
I’ve noticed a lot of them recently. Happens every time something new comes out.
They've been doing it since original TS release.

Idk how you could look at ur simulator numbers and not mention that the dispersion with the R is like.... HALF of the i
