As Sophie said I should like and comment before the video let me just say that I am not in the market for a new driver but I will always watch the reviews. I really like the way these are presented and Sophie seems like a very nice person and a great fit as a retired Touring Pro. Thanks for the hard work!
Thanks VERY much for this review! Two weeks ago I bought a TSR3 (9-degree, stiff shaft) after a very rushed fitting (NOT at Woburn). At the end of the fitting I found out that the test club had been adjusted to have 0.75 degrees more loft. Since getting it home, I've only been able to use the club once, on a driving range, and so I've been looking desperately for reviews by people with a similar swing speed to mine to see if it's a good fit. Most of the reviewers hit it comfortably above 100 mph, whereas I think I'm around 93-95 (I asked my fitter, and he said it was irrelevant!). Ball trajectory on the range was "boring", it felt good, I don't have any trouble getting the ball in the air even at the standard 9-degree setting, and my characteristic draw seems to have gone. It was also comfortably out-driving my 15-year-old Mizuno MX560 (10.5-degree). My main fault has been too much backspin, but the TSR3 seems to have fixed that. If I remember rightly, spin rate in the fitting was around 2000 rpm, launch angle was about 13-14 degrees and carry was 215-220 yards. I'm 6 foot tall, in my mid-fifties, not massively athletic, handicap 15.9, although my putting and short game are shocking. After seeing your review, I feel confident that I've made a good choice.
I went yesterday for a fitting to try out the new ping G430. I'm currently using a Taylor Made SIM 2 which I've never really liked. I bought this to replace a ping g410 last year because my golf bag was stolen from the car and I have since regretted my G410. After hitting about 20 balls with different shafts, it was clear that I liked the G430 a lot more. then the salesman said ok I see you are a little nervous, not really having a good day, not comfortable, it is true that it is difficult at the beginning to hit balls indoors, cold , on a screen. but I've seen enough to bring you what I think is the best driver and shaft for you. I said fair enough show me. he gave me back a driver, I had no idea what it was, and from the first ball I immediately felt in love. the feedback, the sensations, the sound of impact, everything. I didn't even look at the screen to see the path of the ball flight, I was mesmerized by this driver. after 5 or 6 balls he told me now we will look at the numbers and the dispersion of your balls. I had gained about 25 yards, 6 to 7 mph in swing speed and most importantly all balls were within a maximum radius of 2 yards. unbelievable. I asked so what is this driver? a Titleist TSR2 with a regular HZRDUS 50 shaft. Needless to say, I bought it and can't wait for it to arrive. if even on a not very good day, in difficult conditions I manage to play as well and as regularly, what will it be like in good conditions and on a good day. He said you’re probably gonna get around 20 more yards.
You have a good swing with realistic player distance. Some of these You Tubers smack it a mile. Love the review. I’m due for a new driver and 3 wood. It been 5 years. Right now, the TSR is in the one spot. As much as I love my F9, it’s time. I’d rather go straight with decent distance, than far in the rough. Selling my Cobras.
maybe just take some lessons , others say the Cobra's are stable and straight . so hope you didn't just write this review to sound good . get a fitting and hit both your old and new drivers see if it's worth the upgrade . have fun
Fab review well done Sophie your content is great.....I have used the TSI3 driver all year and it is definitely the longest driver i have hit and i seem to be able to swing it faster too.......This range looks fantastic and I might just have to upgrade :)
Great review Sophie. As a TSi3 player myself, I will go and test these but based on your results I do not see a clear reason to switch from TSi3 to TSR3. You gained 5 yards of carry distance but lost 5 yards in total distance. The one I would be intrigued by is TSR4, as a second driver. I could keep my TSi3 as the old reliable club for times when the swing is not just right and work on TSR4 as the potential long ball hitter for the times the swing feels good. Overall good clubs but not enough of a reason to upgrade.
Hi Sophie, excellent review. Currently playing Callaway epic flash, a forgiving driver but doesn't seem to have the O>M>G> off the face will test T>R>3 when available. thanks B.
If looks play a big factor for me and not liking a big driver head is the TSR2 pretty elongated and big , I game the LTDX is it smaller , bigger or the same size ?
I honestly don’t know why they do reviews on titleist drivers because all the reviewers see is the 3 model whether it be ts,tsi or the now tsr 3! Sure they all have a go with the 2 or 4 or even the one but they all don’t give them a fair go even when some of them can’t drive a ball for 💩but they don’t care they’re all going for the 3! Titleist should just make one driver!
More like 250-300! You can easily get 300+ for your TSI3. Hell the shafts alone are worth 200! I would say with that understanding, yes absolutely if you value it in that way. To me, that’s how I look at the price. It’s only the price minus the value of your current driver in trade in or aftermarket.
It puzzles me why ANYONE !!! would worry about what a club looks like. If it's a driver my question is does it go far and straight. If it's an iron how does it feel and perform. My driver could look like something form the Middle Ages as long as it works consistently.
Three nice Clubs, but I will never understand why Titleist wait for 6months before they complete the family with the TSR1. It just doesn't make any sense to delay an option that will be popular with their customer base who have the highest disposable incomes, i.e. seniors & retirees. If you were determined to stagger the launch I could understand (just) delaying the 4, but delaying the 1 is perverse IMO
Sophie you must have been working out at the gym with a fitness coach during the winter, or else you just swing better with a lot of winter clothes on, because I have just watched all your driver tests, Ping, Callaway, Taylor Made, Mizuno and Titleist, and you were routinely getting 10 and 12 yards more carry and 134 plus ball speeds with those clubs, substantially better than with the new TSR drivers even in warm August weather. Will there be another driver in your bag for 2023, perhaps that Ping???

My brother just got fitted into a TSr2, I'm hanging onto my TS1 still - great reviews as always, Sophie!
Yes! Just got fitted for the TSR3 a couple of days ago, looks great and performs well!

Good looking Drivers. I have used Titleist for years I currently use a TS2. I missed out the TSi as I am so confident with the TS2.
Really enjoyed the review will look into purchasing this driver
Great review Sophie.
Adam Scott is playing a Taylor Made Stealth plus at wentworth today
Just bought the TSR2 with Ventus Red 5 shaft yesterday can’t wait to give it a rip!
Ace presentation Sophie!

All ways love your feedback first
Thanks Martin! Great to have you as a subscriber of the channel
Me and this Lady hit our drivers the same distance, and im 6ft 1in tall 230 lbs, but i got very little backswing like Senior golfer Allen Doyle.
If looks play a big factor for me and not liking a big driver head is the TSR2 pretty elongated and big , I game the LTDX is it smaller , bigger or the same size ?
Another great informative video Sophie, thanks!!!...
Have you hit the TSR1
Looks great but I'd definitely buy it if the lid was flat / matte black. To each their own
I just picked up a Callaway Rogue ST Max and now i have driver envy again..."sigh"...lol

Titleist fitter in another video said the R stands for REFINED
If you already have a Titleist TSI 3 is it worth spending $650 for a few more yards , Or get some lessons. Just a thought !!!
I don't need a lesson and I want a new driver so I will spend the cash thanks!
If I did get one I would keep my Hzrdus Smoke 6.0 shaft. I Don't like the new alternatives
Get lessons and a new driver as a reward 😆

£529😱😱
Which of these clubs have ever lowered your handicap?

The TSR2 and 3 are literally the same size. lol bulkier
Didn’t mean to sound like a hater 😅 love the channel and great review!

Why are 67% of the golf creators I follow Mancs?
Nope. They can keep it
